In a bizarre post-debate analysis, Politico magazine has looked into the supposed significance of J.D. Vance’s facial hair.
After Vance gave his fellow vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz during Tuesday night’s vice-presidential debate, Politico sought to dissect the candidate’s body language, including their physical features.
The piece, written by body language expert Joe Navarro, explains:
One of the first bits of nonverbal communication to appear in the debate was on JD Vance’s face: his beard. As POLITICO Magazine has noted before, Vance is the first White House wannabe to wear facial hair in 80 years.

Former congresswoman Liz Cheney, one of Donald Trump’s fiercest Republican antagonists, will join Democrat Kamala Harris at a campaign event in Wisconsin on Thursday aimed at reaching out to moderate voters and rattling the GOP nominee.
Cheney was the top Republican on the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection, earning Trump’s disdain and effectively exiling herself from her own party.
Cheney lost her House seat to a Trump-endorsed candidate two years ago and she endorsed Harris, the Democratic nominee, last month. The two women will appear together in a historic white schoolhouse in Ripon,

Washington— Donald Trump laid the groundwork to try to overturn the 2020 election even before he lost, knowingly pushed false claims of voter fraud and “resorted to crimes” in his failed bid to cling to power, according to a newly unsealed court filing from prosecutors that lays out fresh details from the landmark criminal case against the former president.
The filing from special counsel Jack Smith’s team offers the most comprehensive view to date of what prosecutors intend to prove if the case charging Trump with conspiring to overturn the election reaches trial.
Though a months-long congressional investigation and the indictment itself have chronicled in stark detail Trump’s efforts to undo

President Biden called on Americans Wednesday to “put politics aside” to focus on Hurricane Helene recovery efforts — moments before stepping on his own message by saying that anyone who doubts climate change’s role in the disaster “must be brain dead.”
“In a moment like this, we put politics aside, at least we should put it all aside, and we have here,” the retiring 81-year-old president said during a recovery briefing in Raleigh, NC.
“There are no Democrats or Republicans, there are only Americans, and our job is to help as many people as we can, as quickly as we can, and as thoroughly as we can.”

Kamala Harris’s husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, is credibly accused of physically assaulting a woman in 2012.
Three friends of the alleged victim whom the Daily Mail only identifies with the pseudonym “Jane,” have come forward alleging Emhoff “struck the woman in the face so hard she spun around.” According to the report, Jane and Emhoff, who would’ve been 47-years-old at the time, were “waiting in a valet line late at night after a May 2012 Cannes Film Festival event in France.” According to one of Jane’s three friends, who have all chosen to remain anonymous fearing retaliation (we’ve all seen what the corporate media do to people who hurt

Despite his grandson saying he was 'limited' as he turned 100, Jimmy Carter spent his birthday in the sunshine enjoying a military flyover at his Georgia home. Carter - the first American president to reach the century mark - was able to watch a flyover of four F-18 jets and several vintage planes that graced the skies over Plains, Georgia as part of the town's celebrations, per CBS News.

During the Vice-Presidential debate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was asked about his repeated false statements where he claims to have been in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square protests in the spring of 1989.
While it was surprising that an ideologically aligned CBS team including Margaret Brennan actually asked Governor Walz about these lies, his response to the direct question was even more surprising. (snip) Tim Walz essentially reveals he is an impulsive liar(snip)former AG Eric Holder vetted all of the potential VP candidates, and as a consequence the long history of make believe that surrounds Walz must be known by those who are currently handling

On Wednesday, “CNN Newsroom” host Jim Acosta interrupted Trump campaign senior adviser Corey Lewandowski while discussing immigration and the pronunciation of Vice President Kamala Harris’s name.
Acosta said, “Corey, can you say that Haitian migrants are not eating pets in Springfield?”
Lewandowski said, “You know what I can say, Jim? I can say that 13,099 murderers were let into this country, 16,000 rapes, 425,000 people in the last four years have been let into this country by by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s own Customs and Border Protection that are running around this country.”

I don't know what the viewership numbers were on the vice presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, but if they're not high they should have been because that was one of the best debates I've ever watched in my time as a political junkie (which goes back a looong time).
Vance, as RedState previously reported, wiped the floor not just with Walz but also the CBS News debate moderators, who did what they weren't supposed to do at least twice in "fact-checking" Vance, only to have him refuse to be silenced by fact-checking them right back.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz did not have a good night against Sen. JD Vance (R-OH). The vice presidential debate on CBS News wasn’t a disqualifying performance by Walz, but Democrats cannot be happy. It started rough, and it was like that for the Minnesota liberal for most of the night. He was able to find his footing, though toward the debate’s end, where he made a rash of odd remarks, like being a school shooter’s best friend, the female gender being a preexisting condition, and a baffling and shambolic response

Tim Walz continued his self-implosion on Wednesday as reporters pressed him on two of his worst moments during his debate against JD Vance.
As RedState reported, Walz struggled throughout the night against Vance, who was far more poised and articulate, never mind having the issues on his side. There was one specific instance where the Minnesota governor was pushed on a falsehood he told about being in Hong Kong for the Tiananmen Square protests. Walz proceeded to melt down on stage, with an especially awkward moment toward the end of the exchange. Here's the video for those that didn't see it.

Donald Trump isn’t sitting down with CBS News until he gets one thing he’s rightfully earned since verifying the Hunter Biden laptop: an apology. The former president was asked about this in Wisconsin, adding that he’d love to interview on 60 Minutes again because he’ll speak with anyone, even the media folks who hate him. (X) A Programming Note: 60 Minutes is scheduled to air a primetime election special on a Monday edition of the broadcast on October 7 at 8 PM. For over half a century, 60 Minutes has invited the Democratic and Republican tickets to appear on our broadcast as Americans head to the polls.
