Right before midnight on Thursday, July 4th, a Nashville judge named I'Ashea Myles ruled that the Covenant School shooter's manifesto cannot be released to the public. Her ruling is 60 pages of repetitive language and nonsensical misapprehension of law and fact. She denied the release of the murderer’s manifesto on the basis of the canard of an “ongoing” criminal investigation and a new theory — the writings seized as evidence from the murderer are protected from disclosure because the entire collection is copyrighted.
All those claims are nonsense.

The news of the day is too often serious, and these days, it's far too often upsetting. So when a news item emerges that makes one burst out laughing, it's a pleasant change of pace. Everyone is so proud. So damn proud!
We just came through Pride Month. Pride parades, celebrations, commercials, and notices were ubiquitous, everywhere, like drag queens. And not just where you might expect them, either.
It seemed nary a crosswalk, sports team, business, or email was unadorned by some form of acknowledgement or touting of the LGBTQ community.
So proud! Couldn’t be any prouder of our gender (whatever it is today) or sexuality!
Because that is what matters, what is really at the very heart of who we are, right? And that’s why they want to make sure youngsters are involved, as well. The younger the better. The younger, the prouder!

It's been a week since President Biden's disastrous debate performance, and his political fortunes only appear to be growing worse by the day. His poll numbers are dropping. Donald Trump is gloating. And Democrats are in a full-fledged panic about the future, some feeling deceived by the president's handlers and angry that his inner circle appears to be blaming everyone but themselves for last week's debacle.
Now it all boils down to two questions: Will Biden will drop out of the race? And who is in the top position to replace him? The answer to that the second question should be a no-brainer — the vice president, of course.
