Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez admitted the other day that the virtue of the so-called “hush money” trial is that it keeps Trump off the campaign trail. She slammed the fact that Trump would even contemplate making lemonade out of that lemon by campaigning in the Bronx—her turf. That was fear speaking, and AOC was right to be afraid. What’s happening now in the Bronx is monumental. A crowd that was estimated to be a few thousand is currently in the tens of thousands and still growing. Maybe Ms. Widburg is right, I certainly hope so. But Trump had huge rallies in 2020 too, while Biden was kept in his basement. The difference this time is that people have experienced the horror of living under the Biden regime. Hopefully it’s enough to change the outcome this time. But there’s still a long way to go, and leftists pursue political power above everything else and will stop at nothing to maintain it.

I just saw on some tedious insignificant new sight that the crowd Trump attested to was extremely high. I believe it was. However, this bogus sight showed perhaps a hundred or more. The picture has a time stamp on it. 11:09 in the morning. Good grief such stupidity. A bit different by 6:00pm!

Not sure about these #s. The other side is claiming that the time stamp of 11:09 represents the time the segment aired on TV local time, which was 11:09 PM, and not the time that the photo was taken. I guess it's hopeless to think our media would be capable of providing a regular estimate of crowd size, isn't that pathetic? Instead of factual information, we are given controversial and dramatic click bait that will keep everyone agitated and plugged in during the holiday weekend.

The Bronx is not the turf of Alexandra Cortez. Trump is a native New Yorker. His father was born in the Bronx in 1905.

#2 - The reason Trump “lost” in 2020 had nothing to do with Biden…the Dimms (in cahoots with deep state NIH, Fauci and others) weaponized COVID in Blue states in used it as an excuse to steal the election through early voting, unlimited absentee voting, cheating via drop boxes, ballot harvesting, literally printing new completely filled-out ballots and covering it all up in cooperation with their pals in the “Never Trump” media. You can be sure that regardless who is their nominee (I doubt it will be Biden), they will certainly try to steal this year’s election too…in any and every and way they can.

“But you’re Jewish!” Other than “Why?” this is the most common reaction when I share that I attended a Christian college. Actually, I attended two. Recent events on college campuses have invited me to reflect on my own college experience — and what it could have been had I attended another school. At Columbia, I would have fled campus to celebrate Passover safely, rather than hosting a seder of my own and inviting professors, as I did at Hillsdale College. Hillsdale and Pepperdine regularly invited Jewish guest speakers, for whom students filled lecture halls and commencement spaces to the brim.

Since the advent of Castro socialism, Cuba has always been an economic failure, but does anyone know how bad it's really gotten? Pedro Burelli, who has sources inside Cuba, provides a useful tweet report of how bad it's gotten, describing shortages, blackouts and public riots, much of which are affecting the party's wealthy elites, which have, up until now, been shielded from the deprivations ordinary Cubans endure: Here's a Google Translate: AGONY CUBA All the reports coming from Cuba confirm that the island is going through its worst moment. The terrible economic and public services management has left Cubans in the dark and with sky-high prices. Blackouts and inflation.

(Snip) The plaintiffs, three pairs of parents who sued Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), argued that their children being forced to read such books as “The Pride Puppy,” “Uncle Bobby’s Wedding” and “Born Ready: The True Story of a Boy Named Penelope,” would be in violation of both federal law and state law. The extent to which the political class and media are burying facts that undermine their poisonous narrative to defame and undermine Israel’s war of survival has become simply jaw-dropping. The Biden administration has gone to great lengths to appease the genocidal and terrorist Iranian regime. The US has funnelled billions into Tehran’s coffers through sanctions relief. It has refused to respond effectively to repeated Iranian-backed attacks on US interests. And it is doing everything it can to prevent Israel from taking action that would damage America’s relationship with the Iranian regime — including the destruction of Hamas, a vital force in Tehran’s proxy army against Israel and the west.

Victor Davis Hanson is well known for his intelligent commentary and astute analysis of current events. But for his latest book, he tackles a topic related to his work on military history. It’s called “The End of Everything: How Wars Descend Into Annihilation.” Hanson studied four historical examples of wartime extinction that he features in the book. Then he applies those lessons to contemporary society to examine our own vulnerabilities. The book is on sale today, and Hanson spoke with The Daily Signal to share his observations along with some advice about what’s at stake for the United States in the short term.
The Machinery of Fascism Revisited 1 reply

Fascism became a swear word in the US and UK during the Second World War. It has been ever since, to the point that the content of the term has been drained away completely. It is not a system of political economy but an insult. If we go back a decade before the war, you find a completely different situation. Read any writings from polite society from 1932 to 1940 or so, and you find a consensus that freedom and democracy, along with Enlightenment-style liberalism of the 18th century, were completely doomed. They should be replaced by some version of what was called the planned society, of which fascism was
Is Israel Guilty of Genocide? 14 replies

Israel’s enemies are charging the world’s only Jewish nation with committing genocide. This is a lie. Genocide as a word and internationally accepted concept did not exist before 1944. It was specifically created to describe how the Nazis sought to eliminate the entirety of the Jewish population in Europe.(Snip) This narrow definition under international law consists of two principal prerequisites: intent and a specific group’s physical destruction. Currently, there are politically motivated and rhetorically irresponsible charges of genocide leveled at Israel. These disingenuous accusations are a weapon of war that terrorist groups such as Hamas are using to achieve strategic political victory in the struggle for universal information dominance.

Stanford University, its campus lined with redwoods and eucalyptus trees, has long been known as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. But in recent years, another ideological force has taken root: “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” a euphemism for left-wing racialism. DEI, in fact, has conquered Stanford. I have obtained exclusive analysis from inside Stanford outlining the incredible size and scope of the university’s DEI bureaucracy. According to this analysis, Stanford employs at least 177 full-time DEI bureaucrats, spread throughout the university’s various divisions and departments. Stanford’s DEI mandate is the same as those of other universities: advance the principles of left-wing racialism, hire faculty and admit students according to identity,

How might we change the premise of Social Security to make it fully funded, more equitable, and sustainable indefinitely? Social Security is societal insurance, not an individual retirement plan. It’s intended to protect individuals against income loss due to retirement, disability, or death. It supports disabled individuals, survivors, and children and reduces poverty. Social Security protects taxpayers across American society. Without Social Security, millions would face poverty, straining families and state and local governments, increasing inequality, and destabilizing the economy.
