Kansas Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly has vetoed legislation that would have banned gender-affirming care treatment for minors. “This divisive legislation targets a small group of Kansans by placing government mandates on them and dictating to parents how to best raise and care for their children,” Kelly said in a statement Friday, announcing her veto. “I do not believe that is a conservative value, and it’s certainly not a Kansas value.” She added that the bill goes against parental rights and that the government should not be in "between a parent and a child who needed medical care of any kind.”

Using the same reasoning, I hope she will work to repeal any laws that interfere with a parent’s ability to poke their children’s eyes out.

And in states like mine, Washington, police can come to your home and take your child if you refuse to let monsters mutilate them. So Governor Kelly, where are their parental rights? I wish someone would ask her that.

Nope, these former "coastal folks" didn't vote for this craziness. We moved to Kansas for the good family values that existed here long before we came, and we plan to help keep them that way.

I seriously doubt Kansas values are such that they include permanently disfiguring children to satisfy a political agenda of the parents? Then again Kansans were stupid enough to elect an imbecile like Kelly.

First of all, it is not medical care, but mutilation. If the child wants to do it to her,him self after reaching age of 18 let her/him. Second , the adult that is assisting the youth should have to put up a $1 million bond in case she/he decides that he/she wants to reverse the transition.

If by some miracle the presidential, congressional and senatorial elections are not stolen in November 2024, and Trump becomes president with a good majority in both chambers, I believe a FEDERAL law be introduced and passed prohibiting ANY transgender surgical procedures be performed on ANY individual under the age of 18. Period. No parent, no child, no government agency, no one, can give consent for this mutilating surgical procedure. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is no valid medical reason for transgender surgery to be performed on any individual under the age of 18. After 18, do what you want. And this governor. It just shows that democrats are not satisfied with mutilating and killing children in the womb, they must continue their barbaric lust on children that survived their abortion savagery. I just hope when Judgement Day comes, these adults advocating for and encouraging mutilation of children, will have to answer for their actions. This insanity must stop.

A California reparations bill prioritizing black applicants in state professional licensing is likely unconstitutional and violates the U.S. Constitution’s equal protections clause under the 14th Amendment, says the Pacific Legal Foundation. AB 2862, authored by Assemblymember Mike Gipson, D-Carson, would “require boards to prioritize African American applicants seeking licenses under these provisions, especially applicants who are descended from a person enslaved in the United States.” The bill was introduced in February as a broader package of reparations for Black Californians, a package that did not include direct cash payments. (snip) California requires licenses for a wide variety of professions, ranging from manicurists to doctors.

In 1998, San Francisco installed the latest cutting-edge technology to run the train network: floppy disks. A quarter of a century later and the city’s transportation agency is still using the same system. People under the age of 30 might not know what a floppy disk is; an archaic way of storing data (think USB stick). But the workers at San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) sure do as they are still using obsolete tech to automate the movement of light rail vehicles. A recent study in the journal Nature: Communications Earth and Environment claims climate change is contributing to price inflation. The study’s authors say they found climate change harms economic productivity and food production, leading to higher prices. They examined more than 27,000 monthly consumer price index data points around the globe. I can’t begin to describe all the ways this claim is not just outright false but is misleading in a manner clearly intended to motivate restrictions on fossil fuel production and use, policies which would in fact increase energy prices, harm food production, and result in lost jobs, higher prices, and lower incomes.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is considering a remarkable policy that would allow people to sue grocery stores that close too quickly. Earlier this week, Supervisors Dean Preston and Aaron Peskin introduced an ordinance that, if passed, would require grocery stores to provide six months' written notice to the city before closing down. Supermarket operators would also have to make "good faith" efforts to ensure the continued availability of groceries at their shuttered location, either through finding a successor store, helping residents form a grocery co-op, or any other plan they might work out by meeting with city and neighborhood residents.

On Saturday, Iran initiated a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel. Thankfully, most of them were successfully intercepted, causing minimal damage. Of course, in a stunning move, President Biden is pushing Israel not to retaliate. It's hard to imagine why Biden would do that, except when you consider that Joe Biden has been appeasing Iran since his days as Barack Obama vice president. With that in mind, it's also not surprising—though it's still shocking— that Joe Biden not only had prior knowledge of Iran's assault on Israel but also technically gave it the green light under certain conditions, according to a report from the Jerusalem Post.
