NPR senior Editor Uri Berliner is reportedly facing consequences after publicly criticizing the outlet’s progressive leanings.
According to a Tuesday article by NPR’s David Folkenflik, Berliner has been suspended for five days without pay, a term that began on Friday after he penned an essay for the Free Press. “It angered many of his colleagues, led NPR leaders to announce monthly internal reviews of the network’s coverage, and gave fresh ammunition to conservative and partisan Republican critics of NPR, including former President Donald Trump,” Folkenflik wrote.

New York Times (NYT) reporter Maggie Haberman claimed that former President Donald Trump appeared to “doze off” during the start of his hush money criminal trial in Manhattan.
In an article that Haberman wrote in the NYT, Trump was described as being “alternately irritated and exhausted” as jury selection for the trial, which centers around alleged hush-money payments the former president made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election, began. Haberman wrote:
Even as a judge was hearing arguments on last-minute issues in a criminal case that centers on salacious allegations and threatens to upend his bid for the presidency, Mr. Trump appeared to

Nikki Haley has joined the Hudson Institute. The Hudson Institute is a conservative think tank based in Washington, D.C. It is known for focusing on international affairs and national security.
This sounds like a good fit for her. After being the last challenger standing in the Republican presidential primary, she has wasted no time in securing her next job. She suspended her campaign in March.
Haley's impressive resume is well-known. A two-term governor and the former ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration, the Hudson president and CEO released a short statement acknowledging her hiring.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. House of Representatives will consider aid to Israel and Ukraine as separate legislation this week, Republican Speaker Mike Johnson said on Monday, more than two months after the Senate passed a bill combining the two.
Leaving a meeting of House Republicans on Monday evening, Johnson said the narrowly divided chamber would consider four bills altogether that would also include aid to Taiwan, U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific and U.S. national security priorities. "We know that the world is watching us to see how we react," Johnson told reporters. "They're watching to see if America will stand up for its allies and in our

As RedState reported earlier, unlike the pro-Hamas protesters who deliberately stalled traffic Monday in Democrat-run cities like Chicago and San Francisco (where the Golden Gate Bridge was "occupied" for several hours), the ones who tried it in Miami quickly learned that no games would be played by law enforcement officers who took control of the scene almost immediately.
Video clips show Miami police officers dragging the radical leftists, some of whom had tethered themselves to each other, off the streets like sacks of flour and dumping them on the sidewalks before they could successfully block the PortMiami entrance. Arrests were made soon after.

I wanted to end my headline with "Joe Biden Hardest Hit," but it would've been too long and perhaps a bit too snarky. Besides, we'll get to that part in a bit. Either way, it's coming, folks, and the Islamist extremists in Iran will deserve every minute of an Israeli retaliatory counter-strike, which is reportedly already in the making.
Israel's reliable Channel 12 news carried the initial report on Monday, which has since been widely covered by local media in the Jewish state.
Here's more:
Israel has decided to hit Iran “clearly and forcefully” and is already preparing its warplanes to carry out the strike. The reported decision comes after two

Protesters in dozens of cities across America are participating in the “Global Strike for Gaza” today. They’re attempting to effect economic blockades to coincide with Tax Day. Iran’s attack on Israel this weekend didn’t deter the pro-Palestinian groups from holding the already-planned events.
In Chicago, protesters organized by a group called Chicago Dissenters blocked the access road to O’Hare International Airport at around 8:30 a.m. to protest Boeing, which sells military equipment to Israel. Activists posted videos on social media of irritated airline customers walking along the shut-down road with luggage in tow. Some of the comments on the post mocked “the privilege of being annoyed”

The United States Supreme Court on Monday allowed Idaho to enforce its statewide ban on puberty-blocking drugs, hormone therapy, and sex-change surgeries for minors. The Court, in a 6–3 decision, ruled that the 2023 law may go into effect, though the state cannot apply it to the two plaintiffs who challenged the legislation.
The Court granted Idaho’s emergency request after U.S. District Court Judge B. Lynn Winmill ruled that the state’s government could not enforce the law during ongoing litigation and argued that the measure likely violates what she saw as parents’ rights to decide the medical treatment their children receive. The Idaho state government has appealed the December

SAN ANTONIO — A group of protesters demonstrated outside the Valero headquarters in San Antonio on Monday morning to express their opposition to Israeli military action in Gaza.
Traffic was tied up around the company's northwest-side campus for several hours.
A spokesperson for the protesters said they were composed of different groups from San Antonio and Austin. They said they were showing support for the people of Gaza and the right of all Palestinians to be free of violence.
Israel took military action in Gaza in response to the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas, a group operating out of Gaza.

If October 7 changed the way Israel sees Hamas, the Iranian attack over the weekend may have changed the way Hamas sees its leverage now. Their latest proposal for a cease-fire certainly implies it, coming just hours after the massive aerial attack. Hamas has not just rejected the US-drafted proposal for a 10:1 swap ratio but now refuse to swap at all until Israel withdraws from Gaza cities entirely.
Has their leverage really increased that much? Or at all?
Having rejected the terms of last week’s Cairo proposal for a hostage-truce deal, the Hamas terror group on Sunday reportedly presented mediators with a proposal of its own that requires Israel

Tesla will lay off more than 10% of its global workforce, an internal memo seen by Reuters on Monday shows, as it grapples with falling sales and an intensifying price war for electric vehicles.
The world's largest automaker by market value had 140,473 employees globally as of December 2023, its latest annual report shows. The memo did not say how many jobs would be affected. Some staff in California and Texas have already been notified of layoffs, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters, declining to be named due to the sensitivity of the subject.

Joe Biden's administration gave Iran the go-ahead to strike at Israel.
Here's the $64,000 question: was it wise for Biden to do so, or was it a betrayal of Israel?
By Saturday evening, I had begun to suspect that the Iranian attack on Israel wasn't just coordinated with Hezbollah, which launched its rocket attacks on the Jewish state, but also with Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, and...the United States. Probably, the other Gulf states were also given a heads-up before Iran officially announced their retaliatory strike against Israel.
Now, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but there were lots of indications that this was not
