A 1990s rotisserie chicken restaurant is likely nearing its final days, according to a publication. The Street reports Boston Market is rapidly declining without a corporate headquarters as the number of locations drops from a near-high of 1,000 to under 30 units. “Now, with its store count continuing to dip, the chain seems to have reached the end even if it won’t confirm that given that there no longer appears to be anyone around to make that decision,” The Street reports. Recently, chain owner Jignesh “Jay” Pandya was denied Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time. As a result, The

It's a real shame because I liked its menu.

Maybe Biden will give them a billion dollar bailout as they close their doors.

I think their prices crept too high for the average Joe.

I really liked our local Boston Market. Excellent food! Closed during Covid and never re-opened. It still pisses me off!

Totally enjoyed their baked chicken. I would stop by and pick one up and do my own sides. When covid shut them down only drive thru and then nothing. Burgers are great by would like something different sometimes. KFC use to have baked chicken but they dropped it quite some time ago. Lots more are going to be closing by the end of the year.

They used to be a stop on my way home until my commute changed. I noticed when that store closed but didn't know it was a trend until now.
Restaurants are getting out of reach for me now.

There was one here, might still be there. We ate there once, years ago, don't remember much good or bad, but we never went back....so I guess we weren't impressed.
Not a fan of Boston, so like "New York (fill in the blank) restaurant, this sort of name, rather than attacting me, would repel me.

I never thought food at Boston Market was very good. How Boston Market buried Kenny Rogers' Roasters restaurants is one of those mysteries I will never understand. Roasters' chicken and ribs were far superior to Boston Market.

Only the strong survive in this economy. Dining out is a real treat for us and we enjoy it but we have cut back because of the prices and are watching as so many restaurants are closing. Seems the local mom and pop places are getting more business. People want to keep the money in their communities.

Pretty soon, our only fast food choices will be burgers and fried chicken.
Of course, they will do a credit check at the door to see if you can afford the prices.

The food was good, but it was pricey for our budget at that time. They haven’t been around here for decades. Always sad to see a once-successful business fold.

Perhaps it is too costly to run a brick and mortar Boston Market store-- many of those kinds of businesses have gone away, especially with the Bidenflation economic disaster.
They do produce some basic frozen food entree`s that aren't too bad and aren't loaded with soy--maybe that is their ticket to survival.

And sometimes people and businesses get too big for their britches. These businesses gobbling up small businesses to become ''big business" seem to be falling apart at the seams. . .

Rotisserie chicken was a great idea.... that got copied by supermarkets, Costco, and Sam's club withthe last two providing quality chickens and door buster prices. Who remembers Wang word processors?

Boston Market's rotisserie baked chicken was quite delicious though expensive. The sides offered were less than great--I'm not mad about mashed potatoes and green beans, meh. As others have pointed out, many if not most full service supermarkets in their deli sections offer chicken, both fried and baked, or Boar's Head brand sliced for sandwiches. There is a Boston Market a few miles south of me. If I want their chicken again, I'd better not wait.
