During an interview with Univision that took place last Wednesday and aired on Tuesday, President Joe Biden said that the White House is “examining” if he has the power to unilaterally shut down the border and that while “some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it, and if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court,” “we’re trying to work through that right now.”
Interviewer Enrique Acevedo asked, “Have you made a final decision on taking executive [action], in terms of what you want to do at the border, that includes the power to shut down the border, as it was suggested?”

During an interview with Univision that took place last Wednesday and aired on Tuesday, President Joe Biden stated that he would consider taking further executive action on guns and criticized 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump because Trump “famously told the NRA that, don’t worry, no one’s going to touch your guns” if Trump won.
Interviewer Enrique Acevedo asked, “[G]un violence remains the number one cause of death for children in America. Latinos have made it a top priority across the country, especially in places like El Paso and Uvalde in Texas. Your administration called on Congress to pass common-sense gun laws, but that’s unlikely to happen

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued Harris County, where Houston is located, over its guaranteed income program aimed to help thousands of impoverished households in the county.
Paxton contends that the program, named 'Uplift Harris', which will provide families in need with $500 a month for 18 months, violates the Texas Constitution.
More than 1,900 eligible individuals and families were selected from the ten of the poorest zip codes in the county in February, with the first payment scheduled to go out in late April. With the attorney general now calling the program unlawful, the program could be halted just weeks before the first payment is set to roll out.

Aimee Harris, 41, was sentenced by Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) to prison, followed by a period of home confinement for her role in the alleged theft and distribution of a diary belonging to Ashley Biden.
As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, Ashley Biden, Joe Biden’s youngest daughter, left her diary under a mattress at the Palm Beach rehab home following a stay at a treatment facility. Two individuals who found Ashley Biden’s diary at a halfway house later sold the diary to James O’Keefe and Project Veritas.
In a January 2019 entry, Ashley Biden recalled how she used to shower with her father, Joe Biden, and suggested it may

Jay Leno has been officially granted conservatorship of his wife Mavis Leno due to her ongoing battle with dementia.
People reported that during a hearing earlier today at Los Angeles Superior Court, Mavis' lawyer said she was in agreement with the conservatorship.
The ex-Tonight Show host petitioned Los Angeles Superior Court in January to be appointed her conservator because her condition makes her unable to handle her own affairs. In court on Tuesday the judge agreed, saying: 'I think she's in the least restrictive environment. I think she's in very good care with Mr. Leno.'

Civil rights groups are calling for the collapsed Baltimore bridge to be renamed when it's rebuilt, citing accusations of racism against national anthem author Francis Scott Key.
The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County in Maryland voted unanimously to call for the renaming and will lobby governor Wes Moore on the proposal, as reported by the Baltimore Banner.
The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Leaders argued that the The Star-Spangled Banner author -who the collapsed bridge was named after - was a slave owner who wrote lyrics that scholars have said 'demeaned black people.'

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg dismissed the idea that Washington, DC, is experiencing a rise in crime, pointing out that a “lot of energy” was going into painting the narrative.
During an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki on Sunday, Buttigieg highlighted how he was able to “safely walk” his dog in the nation’s capital without any problems. Buttigieg, like many other elected officials, is provided with a security detail. “We need to talk about the reality here, and again, there is a lot of funding and a lot of energy going into telling a different story, especially on ideological news outlets and online,” Buttigieg said. Speaker Mike Johnson is delaying sending the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate after pressure from his GOP colleagues.
The latest development in the ongoing Mayorkas impeachment saga comes just one day before the Senate was set to receive the impeachment articles, which would have immediately started a trial for Biden's embattled border chief.
A spokesperson for Speaker Johnson said that 'to ensure the Senate has adequate time to perform its constitutional duty, the House will transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate next week.'

Far-left National Public Radio (NPR) employs 87 registered Democrats in editorial positions but zero Republicans in the same positions in its Washington, DC, headquarters, NPR Senior Editor Uri Berliner wrote Tuesday.
Berliner, who admittedly leans left, wrote a scathing article about NPR’s illiberal newsroom, slamming the taxpayer-funded network for refusing to address “a diversity problem” within the office.
In an article published in the Free Press, Berliner said he opposed many of the left-wing and perhaps false narratives NPR spun about the coronavirus “lab leak theory,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, Hunter Biden’s laptop, former President Donald Trump, and the 2016 Russia hoax.

President Joe Biden took on a heckler who interrupted his speech at the D.C. train station, then joked that the man could probably best him in a fight.
Biden grew fiesty immediately after touting provisions in his American Rescue Plan that had the 'biggest investment in childcare ever.'
At that point a man briefly interrupted his remarks, pegged to 'care workers recognition month.' 'I tell you what - You want to come make a speech or shush up, okay?' Then, Biden added, 'He looks like he could take me,' drawing a laugh from the crowd of supporters.

A New York appeals court judge on Tuesday permitted the full Appellate Division First Department to consider relaxing a sweeping gag order against former President Donald Trump.
The appellate court could reportedly decide to delay the criminal trial while it considers Trump’s gag order appeal. Trump sued New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan in an appeals court on Monday to challenge the judge’s sweeping gag order. Merchan, who is presiding over the New York criminal case, imposed the gag order after news surfaced about a connection between Merchan’s daughter and conspiracy theorist Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
