President Trump just notched a legal win that may shed some light on the bizarre decision made by the judge in the Big Fani dismissal case. In a moment that felt suggestive in a “wink and a nod” kind of way, Judge McAfee not only granted Trump a substantial triumph but also opened the door for rectifying his own unjust ruling by approving Trump’s appeal request in Georgia. It appears as if McAfee wanted to wash his hands clean and defer to a higher court, almost as if he was encouraging Trump’s team to seek an appeal and give Big Fani the bum rush right out the door.

It could be that he was too weak to do what was right knowing he might loose reelection so tried to split the baby by his idiotic ruling knowing there would be appeals he would approve and then the real decision would be in the hands of others. In that way, he could be seen by the stupid Fani supporters of having supported her while really not supporting her. And, they would be stupid enough to fall for it.

The judge should have tossed Fanny out on her fanny, but apparently not brave enough. Let's hope that the Appeals Court judges are more interested in actual justice not political attacks.

It will be interesting to see if he wins re-election in May. I think he won't even with his game playing.

I agree he wanted to have some back up of other judges supporting this matter. It's a shame we come to this point in our national life. I don't think he should have been giving interviews on the matter.

Reality Check: Just how many posters condemning this young judge or any judge with a family can HONESTLY COMMIT to making a personal decision that might put yourself or loved ones in harm’s way? Whether judge, member of the military, congress, people in positions requiring decisions that are crucial to the circumstance(s) that might put them or their families in harm’s way is quite likely beyond anyone’s ability to understand unless being in that situation. This is not a perfect world. Yes, there have been brave souls throughout history and mankind is grateful for their personal sacrifices, but the internal decision of the individual directly involved needing to make such decision(s) is, again, beyond anyone’s ability to understand unless being in that situation. Such bravado, such condemnation to accuse and judge someone without having been there and having done that personally, without connecting dots and critical thinking, is a disservice to one’s self, as well as to the one at whom the criticism, the judgment is being made.
“Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.” (Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident, and key founding member of the Confessing Church known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship that included vocal opposition to Hitler's euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of the Jews. Pastor Bonhoeffer, at the age of 39, was hanged on April 9, 1945 as the Nazi regime was collapsing. - Wikipedia)

Sorry...... he campaigned for the job and doesn't get a pass because it's hard. My expectations of the robed ones is no less than my expectations of men and women in uniform. You don't shirk your responsibilities to the citizens to protect your own posterier.

He can't be that chicken-poop about his or his family's safety if he's running for reelection and making political decisions while judging now can he? The request was for him to either remove Fanny or not. He foolishly chose to give her a choice to remove herself or her victim neglecting his duty as judge. The victim resigned so even she didn't have to make a decision. Weakness and corruption all around.

It's possible that this judge is not as naive and stupid as he looks. This action might actually expand the lifetime of his career. The slam-dunk that Fani and her taxpayer-funded stud were expecting will not happen.

#11~ Thank you! Judge McAfee is not naïve, stupid, cowardly or irresponsible. He appears to be quite the opposite—intelligent, contemplative, forward-looking, critical thinking, judicious. As explained by one of this salon’s esteemed Ldotters (EQK), Judge McAfee “subtly preserved the federal question of selective prosecution, stating that it should be raised by a separate motion and indicating what needs to be in it. ... Selective prosecution, unlike the First Amendment for the J-6 defendants, is not a defense but a bar to prosecution.” It is “an issue of constitutional magnitude, citing the U. S. Supreme Court.” If President Trump’s legal team decides to join defendant Cathleen Latham “in a motion to bar prosecution on Equal Protection grounds before the trial court, it will likely be denied. But he needs to do it to ask the U. S. District for a stay the trial while considering a writ.” If President Trump’s team goes forward with that action, “the case in Georgia stops while the matter moves to the Circuit Court of Appeals, and finally to the Supreme Court. That would not likely occur in this term. Judge McAfee JUST DID TRUMP A HUGE FAVOR.”

For those having made hasty judgments about Judge McAfee, having read news articles, doing some research, and reading between the lines would have suggested giving this young man the benefit of possibly having found himself in an extremely difficult situation considering this country’s current atmosphere of lawfare. As an example, conservative United States Supreme Court justices having had to contend with protesters at their residences opposing conservative decisions.
