Former President Donald Trump posted a $91.6 million bond Friday after losing writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case against him, also appealing the eight-figure judgment, as the ex-president faced a Monday deadline to pay the judgment against him—though he still has hundreds of millions more to pay in a separate civil fraud case. [Snip] Trump faced a Monday deadline to put up the money he owes in the case, as he had 30 days after the judgment on Feb. 8 to either pay cash or post an appeals bond before Carroll could ask the court to enforce the judgment and seize Trump’s assets.

we've all said what we've said about the various complications that have beset our President and this is the most frivolous, unjust and illegal one and a matter that is completely outrageous and constructed by someone with an imagination and thinking apparatus found only in Penthouse or Playboy

Let’s call this what it is, political persecution and judicial extortion in order to interfere in the November election. That this is actually going on in this country tells us exactly how much integrity there is left in the legal community. The man on the street understands what they are doing to President Trump is wrong and yet, our esteemed legal scholars are silent. Clearly, the democrat party has successfully muzzled any dissent by the legal community. Few will come out and object to what is clearly political prosecution. Cross this godless administration and they know they will feel the brunt of their wrath. How is this not fascism?

New York's corrupt judges have long been infamous. The NY legislature is corrupt for passing the law allowing a decades old suit to be filed- how that promotes justice is inconceivable, and in fact promotes injustice.
But of course, corruption is never just.

Big money behind this bond. That ought to tell you something.
Where does Pres Trump turn to address the 'opportunity cost' of this situation once its overturned. And damages.

They are trying to push us to the brink. I had a dream last night that mask mandates were slapped back on.
Please no, Lord.

The wrong p[erson is paying in this suit.
E. Jean Carroll should be paying Trumps legal bills for defending himself against her lies.

Trump is a much nicer , more tolerant man than I. I wouldn't pay a cent even if I had a trillion dollars in cash laying around loose in my seat cushions. Not for an absolute injustice from a corrupt court.

Licking my chops in anticipation of the popcorn and beer being passed around, watching Mr. Trump go after E. Jean Carroll, her attorneys, and the State of New York for his money back, plus damages, when this is all reversed.

President Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, said their legal team is “highly confident that the Second Court will overturn this egregious judgment.” President Trump must pay the money but could get the money back “if he wins the case in appeals court.”
