Trump Posts $91.6 Million Bond In E. Jean
Carroll Case As He Appeals

Original Article

Former President Donald Trump posted a $91.6 million bond Friday after losing writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case against him, also appealing the eight-figure judgment, as the ex-president faced a Monday deadline to pay the judgment against him—though he still has hundreds of millions more to pay in a separate civil fraud case. [Snip] Trump faced a Monday deadline to put up the money he owes in the case, as he had 30 days after the judgment on Feb. 8 to either pay cash or post an appeals bond before Carroll could ask the court to enforce the judgment and seize Trump’s assets.

Comments:

President Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, said their legal team is “highly confident that the Second Court will overturn this egregious judgment.” President Trump must pay the money but could get the money back “if he wins the case in appeals court.”

we've all said what we've said about the various complications that have beset our President and this is the most frivolous, unjust and illegal one and a matter that is completely outrageous and constructed by someone with an imagination and thinking apparatus found only in Penthouse or Playboy

Let’s call this what it is, political persecution and judicial extortion in order to interfere in the November election. That this is actually going on in this country tells us exactly how much integrity there is left in the legal community. The man on the street understands what they are doing to President Trump is wrong and yet, our esteemed legal scholars are silent. Clearly, the democrat party has successfully muzzled any dissent by the legal community. Few will come out and object to what is clearly political prosecution. Cross this godless administration and they know they will feel the brunt of their wrath. How is this not fascism?

New York's corrupt judges have long been infamous. The NY legislature is corrupt for passing the law allowing a decades old suit to be filed- how that promotes justice is inconceivable, and in fact promotes injustice. But of course, corruption is never just.

Trump is a much nicer , more tolerant man than I. I wouldn't pay a cent even if I had a trillion dollars in cash laying around loose in my seat cushions. Not for an absolute injustice from a corrupt court.

Licking my chops in anticipation of the popcorn and beer being passed around, watching Mr. Trump go after E. Jean Carroll, her attorneys, and the State of New York for his money back, plus damages, when this is all reversed.

Harry and Meghan are facing a hypocrisy row after it was revealed that a tree was edited into the photo used to announce Meghan Markle being pregnant with Lilibet, after the Duchess of Sussex's camp took aim at the Princess of Wales for her Photoshop blunder. Royal experts have slammed Prince Harry and Meghan as 'hypocrites' after a resurfaced podcast heard that the intimate 2021 black and white photo of the couple had been doctored. London-based photographer Misan Harriman has previously discussed how he altered an image of them in a meadow to be under a willow tree.

The number of civilian casualties in Gaza has been at the center of international attention since the start of the war. The main source for the data has been the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry, [Snip] If Hamas’ numbers are faked or fraudulent in some way, there may be evidence in the numbers themselves that can demonstrate it. While there is not much data available, there is a little, and it is enough: [Snip] While the evidence is not dispositive, it is highly suggestive that a process unconnected or loosely connected to reality was used to report the numbers. [Snip] The total civilian casualty count is likely to be extremely overstated.

President Biden will announce during his State of the Union address Thursday that he’s directing the U.S. military to lead the construction of a port along the coast of Gaza on the Mediterranean Sea to boost the amount of aid getting to Palestinian civilians. [Snip] Senior administration officials said the project will not require any U.S. boots on the ground in Gaza. Instead, the plan involves U.S. personnel on military vessels offshore who will not be required to go ashore to install the port. [Snip] A senior administration official said the U.S. worked “very closely with the Israelis in developing this initiative.”

Former President Trump demanded he receive a new trial after a jury ordered him to pay $83.3 million in advice columnist E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit. [Snip] “Just before President Trump took the stand at trial, the Court engaged in a colloquy with defense counsel designed to restrict the scope of President Trump’s testimony,” [Snip] That exchange, they argue, narrowed the scope of Trump’s testimony to the point of prejudice by preventing him from addressing his mental state in relation to Carroll. On the witness stand, Trump only answered two questions--one of which was objected to, they wrote.

Kate Middleton has surfaced for the first time since her hospitalization earlier this year that sidelined her for a good while--and she's maintaining a low profile--or trying to anyway. Kate was wearing shades, and appeared to be rocking somewhat of a smile here--there didn't appear to be any other relatives with them for this outing
