The RedState Interview: Cruz Explains
Why He's Fighting to Save AM Radio

Original Article

In an exclusive RedState interview, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) explained why his bill to preserve AM radios in vehicles is a winner for consumers and the country. The Cruz bill, The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, which would mandate that automakers keep the AM radio, already has 47 co-sponsors and passed the Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, so it is awaiting a floor vote. This should be the year to celebrate the centennial of the AM car radio, a fixture in automobiles up until now. Yet instead of celebrating this landmark, BMW, Mazda, Volkswagen, Tesla, and others are all planning to eject AM radio from the dashboard.

I pretty much gave up on talk radio for the time being. My local market is more concerned with sports and of the conservative stations (all two), only one has a local host that’s any good. I still hope that AM remains there for all who have good content.

That is a freedom of speech issue and should not be tolerated. How many political speakers are on AM radio? More conservative speakers that are liberal, socialist or communist speakers. Leave AM radio alone. I remember a CB radio license was once required. License is a form of liberty restriction.

I usually listen to satellite but occasionally tune into AM for local news and weather when on the road. It has vastly more range than FM but not as good sound quality, so its better suited to voice. It doesn't cost any more to have it. So why not leave it?

Car radios are an indispensable resource for civil defense. They are ubiquitous, mobile, and work independently of cell towers or the electrical grid. They are vital for rapid warnings and information in the case of natural (or other) disasters as well as local problems - like avoiding a road accident, closure, fire or active shooter. They're not just for music and chat.

The FCC has been ignoring EMI in the AM band. Traffic signals violate the rules and FCC just doesn't care. LED light tubes are terrible.

If you have a decent AM radio, after the sun goes down and throughout the night, you can pick up a number of super stations all over the country, and listen to programs that are not offered locally.

In the spring of 2021, volunteer investigators from Ohio acquired publicly available voter data for all 88 counties and started their analysis. Over the next year the researchers found hundreds of thousands of records in their state’s voter rolls with irregular data for which they couldn’t identify consistent explanations, no matter who they asked. In late summer of 2022, they reached out to Marly Hornik, co-leader of New York Citizens Audit, whose team had identified similar inaccuracies in the New York State data. In 2023, Hornik and Harry Haury, an expert in cybercrime and election law, founded United Sovereign Americans and developed a legal strategy for securing the validity of

The point Luntz is making is a good one, but it may have already happened in the mind of the public. People already see this happening. The mere possibility of it is as real as if it already happened.

When Biden entered the Oval Office following the fraudulent 2020 presidential election (81 million votes…ROFL) he and his puppeteers immediately undid everything that President Trump put in place to secure our southern border. At the time, many Americans were dumbfounded. Don’t Biden and his puppeteers know what will happen if the border is left wide open? The answer is that destroying the United States was always the Democrat party’s plan. Having 10 million (and growing) illegal alien invaders is the easiest way to destroy America. It doesn’t matter to Biden & Company if some illegal invaders are injuring, raping, and murdering Americans. It doesn’t matter to Biden & Company if

The five-door hatchback doesn't have the best range or fanciest amenities. But what it does have is a top price under $14,000, good safety features, aggressive looks, and plenty of financial backing from Beijing. BYD's specialties are batteries and high-tech manufacturing, and they're using both to aggressively expand overseas production and deliveries. An improved version for South American markets, called the Dolphin Mini, is already on sale, starting at $21,990.
