U.S. Rep. Ken Buck will leave Congress on March 22, the Windsor Republican announced Tuesday in a decision that’s sure to scramble the already highly contentious and competitive race to replace him that includes U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert. “It has been an honor to serve the people of Colorado’s 4th District in Congress for the past nine years,” Buck said he was leaving his seat “because I think there’s a job out there that I want to go do. “I think we need to change our electoral laws here and I have a passion for that and I am going to lead

FTA Buck said. “I think we need to change our electoral laws here and I have a passion for that and I am going to lead and I am going to find the right organization to join and I’m going to start working on that issue. We have to have better candidates — up and down the ballot.” How about just one person, one ID one booth one vote Like the rest of Western Democracies do it.

How funny, he thinks he's going to lead on something he has no idea about or where it will be yet? Essentially, he's looking to JOIN (not lead) some group that's not established yet, right? Thus, he is not committed to the Constitution and what it prescribes for elections. But, I bet he accepts some large amount of money from a K Street Lobby group which is actually the problem in DC.

There are a special group of RINO's that are clearly Demon-Rats but use the "R" to get elected. They are RINO Republi-Can'ts. This vermin is clearly a member of that club, and like most RINO Republi-Can'ts, is about to be unemployed. I'm sure the Demon-Rats will get everything they can out of him between now and November, and then we will never hear his name again.

No doubt Buck is either a RINO or has finagled a high paying job with some big law firm or other business entity in DC or both. Elected Republicans have been known to stay in Congress for a while, until they get some name recognition and then move on to some high paying DC related job. Democrats are different, once elected they usually stay in Congress for as long as possible with Biden as an example.

Hermès has been accused of “tying” the purchase of its famed Birkin bags to other Hermès products in a class action lawsuit filed in California. Two shoppers have claimed in the lawsuit filed on 19 March that they were required to purchase “ancillary products” from an Hermès retail store - such as shoes, scarves, belts, or jewellery - before they were given the opportunity to purchase a Birkin handbag. The lawsuit claimed that Hermès sales associates only offer Birkin handbags to customers who have established a sufficient “purchase history” with the French brand. According to the filing, once shoppers “are deemed worthy” of purchasing a Birkin handbag,

Plagiarism gumshoe Christopher Rufo has uncovered another case of literary theft at Harvard University. This time, Rufo reported in the Manhattan Institute’s City Journal, the culprit is one Christina Cross, an assistant sociology professor, who plagiarized her doctoral thesis for the University of Michigan. Rufo’s story cites a complaint that documents a dozen problematic passages, some of them unattributed verbatim quotes. Cross is the fourth Harvard official outed for plagiarism. Noting that Cross is a “rising star in the field of critical race,” a fraudulent “field” of study, and the author of The Myth of The Two-Parent Home, Rufo reported that “Cross’s 2019 dissertation, The Color, Class, and Context

An academic group, Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), obtained some alarming data. In over 200,000 cases, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) failed to file the proper paperwork with immigration courts in Houston, Texas and Miami, Florida. The illegal aliens were issued a Notice to Appear (NTA) at the border, which creates a court date. However, DHS never filed the paperwork with the court. The asylum process can't move forward without filing the proper paperwork with the court. The court date rolls around and the asylum-seeker shows up. The judge doesn't have the paperwork so the case is dismissed.

Three Americans are suing the National Park Service over the agency's refusal to accept cash payments to enter parks across the U.S. The Americans − from California, New York and Georgia − filed the lawsuit earlier this month in federal court in Washington, D.C., saying that the park service is violating federal law by not allowing guests to pay cash to enter various parks, monuments and historic sites. The lawsuit says the park service's policy violates a U.S. law that says that "coins and currency ... are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes and dues." Supreme Court justices appeared receptive Monday to National Rifle Association claims that a former New York state official violated its free-speech rights by pressuring banks and insurance companies to blacklist the group after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida. The NRA is suing former New York State Department of Financial Services superintendent Maria Vullo, who the group says used her regulatory power to economically punish the group for its gun-rights stance in violation of the First Amendment. The Biden administration has backed some of the NRA’s claims and encouraged the high court to reverse a lower court decision to toss out the suit.

A 'son of Concorde' set to fly from New York to London in 1.5 hours is a step closer to take-off. NASA’s X-59 quiet supersonic aircraft has been moved to the paint barn at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works’ facility in Palmdale, California, says the space agency. Once painted, the team will take final measurements of its weight and exact shape to improve computer modeling. The supersonic passenger plane aims to fly faster than the speed of sound, at almost twice as fast as Concorde. Engineers are aiming to reduce the sound of the typical sonic boom to a sonic thump to minimise disruption to people on the ground.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a measure allowing the new Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission to start its work. Senate Bill 332 allows the commission, created last year with Senate Bill 92, to adopt internal guidelines and rules. It also circumvents a November state Supreme Court administrative order that found approving the commission’s standards of conduct was outside its authority. “This legislation will help us ensure rogue or incompetent prosecutors are held accountable if they refuse to uphold the law,” Kemp, a Republican, said during a brief Wednesday press conference. “As we know all too well, crime has been on the rise across the country,

Georgia Gov. Donald Trump was right. It's going to be a bloodbath when China's BYD starts selling its "fun-to-drive" Seagull EV in this country at a price not even Tesla can match. The five-door hatchback doesn't have the best range or fanciest amenities. But what it does have is a top price under $14,000, good safety features, aggressive looks, and plenty of financial backing from Beijing. BYD's specialties are batteries and high-tech manufacturing, and they're using both to aggressively expand overseas production and deliveries. An improved version for South American markets, called the Dolphin Mini, is already on sale, starting at $21,990.
