If you jump in the time machine with me, we'll go back to the days of protests over mask mandates, business closures, social distancing, and lockdowns. In those days, many people were incensed that the government had disrupted so many lives with a list of restrictions and warnings that many credited with helping foment the social unrest in the months and years that followed.
COVID-19 protests are making a comeback. But this time, the shoe is on the other foot. Or, more appropriately, the mask is on the other face. This time around, protestors are gathering later this month to express their ire

Former President Trump absolutely DOMINATED the Super Tuesday contests. As of this writing, he has won Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. In the night's only surprise, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley won Vermont with 50.5% to Trump's 45.7% with 99% reporting.
The states where Trump won were blowouts—he garnered anywhere from 60.5% (Massachusetts) to 83.7% (Alabama).
We're still waiting on Utah and Alaska to report and will update when we have those results.
It takes 1,215 delegates to win the Republican nomination. Trump currently has 724 to Haley's 57. Trump is expected to clinch next Tuesday

MSNBC national affairs analyst John Heilemann said on Tuesday’s “Deadline” that he believed former President Donald Trump voters have a “lack of energy.”
Heilemann said, “Doing the first three early state primaries which I love, historically love, have done them all, love doing that, love. love. It was so depressing doing these and for a million reasons not just because Trump was going to win and what it said about the Republican Party or that it was a foregone conclusion, but just the lack of energy out in the world. The kind of flaccid acquiescence of everybody out there. You hear about it on the Democratic side.

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley threatened to punch black supporters of Donald Trump in the face if he saw any sporting a t-shirt featuring Trump’s mugshot.
In a segment Monday with CNN’s Gayle King, Barkley blasted Trump for his comments made on Friday in Columbia, South Carolina, where he marveled that his mugshot had become a popular image among some blacks.
“You know who embraced more than anybody else? The Black population,” Trump said. “It’s incredible. You see Black people walking around with my mugshot – you know they do shirts.”
Trump’s comments set off the TNT broadcaster and former NBA star.
“First of all, I’m just gonna say this,” he threatened.

After all the problems regarding Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her former paramour, whom she appointed to be a special prosecutor in the Trump election case, you knew that they were going to be in trouble.
Now, they have been referred by a watchdog group to the Georgia state bar for misconduct.
The American Accountability Foundation (AAF) is alleging that the pair violated the rules of professional conduct in ethics complaints they filed with the bar. The AAF claims Wade lied under oath about the relationship with Willis and that Willis kept campaign money for personal use, and admitted it during her testimony.

As the window closes on her presidential campaign, Nikki Haley is changing her tune.
She’s no longer just attacking Donald Trump, she’s also attacking Republicans who support him.
All of them.
Losing is a kind of death that concentrates the mind, and with Super Tuesday likely to be her last stand, Haley is unleashing on the people whose votes she courted for more than a year.
She didn’t persuade enough of them, so now she’s blaming them for not being the right kind of Republicans.
“I get why Republicans are leaving the Republican Party, because we were just always about small government and freedom: economic freedom, personal freedom,” Haley told a gaggle of reporters Friday.

If the 2024 presidential election were held today, former president Donald Trump would win. At least, that's the conclusion the New York Times comes to after releasing its latest poll with Siena College.

The presumptive Republican nominee leads President Joe Biden 48-43 in a national poll of registered voters. And that's not even the worst news for Biden. Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News has that. [Tweet]
But it's the "why" behind Biden's lagging numbers that makes the collapse of his support so easy to explain.
Only one in four voters think the country is moving in the right direction.

Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security and TN Rep. Mark Green's pedigree is quite impressive. Green is also Dr. Green, an emergency room physician who was also a West Point cadet and is an Army veteran, and former Tennessee State Senator. Before being elected to the United States House of Representatives in Tennessee's District 7, President Donald Trump nominated him for Army Secretary, but his confirmation was stalled. Green went on to serve in Congress, and even after District 7 was redistricted in 2022 to incorporate parts of blue Nashville, Green won re-election handily against Democrat Odessa Kelly and was expected to win again in 2024.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, of Trump prosecution fame, has turned her lawfare sights on one of the country’s, and in fact one of the world’s, largest meat producers.
Via The Post Millennial (emphasis added):
On Wednesday, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that she had filed a lawsuit against meat producer JBS Foods' American division, JBS USA Food Company.
James alleged that officials were "misleading the public" about the JBS USA's environmental impact, namely via their claim that the company would "achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040" while still planning to "increase production*, and therefore increase its carbon footprint.

CNN has been desperately treading water for years now. The former king of cable news has been bleeding ratings for years, with Fox News typically topping all the networks night after night. CNN still fancies itself the "most trusted name in news," yet, even former CEO Chris Licht admitted last year that that trust — assuming at one point they actually had it — is long gone and they need to restore it. He didn't last long.
The problem, of course, is that CNN claims to be fair and without bias, yet anti-conservative views have long been part of its DNA,

According to a quote widely attributed to Winston Churchill, “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” This is absolutely true (snip) As for the alleged massacre this week, the New York Sun reports what really took place, noting that “most of the deaths were caused by a stampede.” This occurred when 30 food trucks traveling together “were surrounded by a throng of desperate civilians in northern Gaza trying to confiscate bags of foodstuff before they reach Hamas or criminals that take the aid to sell later.”

I have no clue how Joe Biden will deliver the State of the Union on March 7. First, it will be dark, and being the world’s most famous sundowner, he might not know where he is for the address. The number of drugs they will need to pump into Joey will probably rival that of Anna Nicole Smith, but leaks from the White House suggest that the man who can’t remember when his son died will treat us like idiots during his speech.
Noah Rothman at National Review touched upon how the speech will lean heavily into trying to convince us,

Good news!! This is a seat that the GOP needs to keep.
