In a survey of more than 2,000 adults, 42% of Americans said they know at least one person who died due to a drug overdose. The data was released this week by the Rand Corporation. The American Journal of Public Health published its findings. Rates of exposure were significantly higher in New England and in the East South Central region (Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee) than in other parts of the nation, the Rand Corporation said. Additionally, 13% said that an overdose loss has disrupted their lives, and 4% said the death of a loved one had "a significant or devastating effect that they still feel."

I suppose some eggs must be broken for the Administration's open borders warriors to make a omelet, eh. It's all for the "greater good" of diversifying the nation's voting rolls with illegals from all over the plane.

In Cuyahoga County in Ohio, which is home to the city of Cleveland, there were more than 700 drug overdose deaths in 2023. I have trouble wrapping my head around that number.

Our family knows three. Young people these days try to find escape through drugs that can, and too often does, kill them.

I ride a Volunteer Ambulance and see a lot of them. I don't know how many we have used Narcan on. It's ridiculous to go into a home with a male or female unconscious and their small children crying. It makes you want to shake some sense into them, but of course after the overdose those that live just keep right on until the next time.

What this says to me is that people have druggie friends, and don't care. I do NOT know anyone who had an overdose, let alone died. People need to have a better list of friends.

Mornings in Northeastern Pennsylvania start on WILK-FM with ‘The Bob Cordaro Show’ described as “convincingly conservative, lovingly logical, proudly and passionately patriotic and reliably right”. And then eventually other conservatives, including Ben Shapiro, come on the air. But that may be about to change. WILK is one of a number of Pennsylvania stations owned by Audacy (five in Philadelphia alone), the second largest radio broadcaster in America and it, along with over 200 radio stations across the country, is about to fall into the hands of George Soros in time for the 2024 election..

In a dramatic turn of events, the South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF), an umbrella group for South Florida’s radical Muslim outfits, has secured a new venue for its pro-Hamas conference, after being shut down by the Coral Springs Marriott for security concerns. The Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale at Cypress Creek – also a Marriott affiliate – has agreed to allow the group to use their premises to further the spread of hatred and incitement. The conference will feature many of the same extremists as the cancelled affair, including someone recently thrown off the Broward County School Board for promoting antisemitism.

A judge ruled Thursday that a Black student who was suspended for months over his locs hairstyle was legally punished by the school district. Darryl George, 18, had been told by his school district in suburban Houston that he was breaking the rules about student appearance and dress code. State District Judge Chap Cain III ruled in favor of the Barbers Hill School District on Thursday, saying the district has not violated a new state law prohibiting race-based hair discrimination. The issue centered around the length of George's hair. George and his family say his hairstyle is protected by a state law known as the Texas Crown Act.

But many felt the ad completely missed the Biblical point. [SNIP] The ad shows a total of twelve scenes of one individual washing another’s feet. Most appear to be white people doing the washing. None feature a minority washing a white man’s feet, and some even seem to be telling white Christians not to be bigoted. The Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip slaying thousands of Muslim Brotherhood brothers (Hamas) came upon evidence of UNRWA employees participating in the satanic events of October 7, which should not surprise because UNRWA has been a major player in the antisemitic fantasy of a “Palestinian people” whose homeland was allegedly stolen from them by the Jews, the lie that justifies the very existence of UNRWA in support of the “victims of Zionism.” UNRWA’s brief for 75 years has been supporting millions of “Palestinian refugees” when, truth be told, there is nothing Palestinian about these people. Israel's neighbors and key mediators warned Saturday of disaster and repercussions if its military launches a ground invasion in Gaza's southern city of Rafah, where Israel says remaining Hamas strongholds are located — along with over half the besieged territory's population. [SNIP] The announcement set off panic. More than half of Gaza's 2.3 million people are packed into Rafah, which borders Egypt. Many fled there after following Israeli evacuation orders that now cover two-thirds of the territory following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that sparked the war. It's not clear where they could go next. Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said any Israeli ground offensive on Rafah would have "disastrous consequences."
