Biden calls Trump's NATO remarks 'un-American'

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden rebuked former President Donald Trump on Tuesday for recently saying that he would encourage Russia to attack NATO nations that he thought had insufficiently spent on defense as part of the mutual protection agreement. "The former president has sent a dangerous, and shockingly, frankly, un-American signal to the world. Just a few days ago, Trump gave an invitation to Putin to invade some of our NATO allies," Biden said in remarks from the White House. Biden continued: "He said if an ally didn't spend enough money on defense, he would encourage Russia to, 'Do whatever the hell it wants.' Can you imagine?

FTA “The former president has sent a dangerous, and shockingly, frankly, un-American signal to the world.” Biden’s perspective of financial aid is a little skewed, as he earned his 50 million dollar net worth on an annual salary of 175k.

Joe Biden conceives of NATO as an American military military umbrella under which European nations pay no more for their own defense than they find convenient. In contrast, Donald Trump sees NATO as an actual military alliance whose collective strength is based on each nation paying the full cost of its own defense. Since our national debt and yearly deficits are now both figured in trillions, I suspect that most Americans agree with Trump's allegedly "un-American" view of NATO..

If European nations can't see fit to pay for their own defense, why should the USA? Much of the EU makes fun of and slams the US as inferior to their enlightened ways and superior socialist perks. Of course, they can only afford this because the US pays to defend them while they flitter away with their three month vacations and free health care. Contribute to their own defense.... That is for others to do.

I talked to a friend of mine today who lives in Italy, and he does not like Trump. However, he completely agrees with the logic of Trump‘s statement. I suspect he is in a minority in the second position, but not as to the first position. It could be that one BB of logic at a time will tilt the scales in Trump’s favor. On a different note, i continue to be shocked at prices here in Dallas. Last night a sandwich at a very small, hole in the wall restaurant = $20. Cookie and cupcake = $12. Auto insurance up $50/month. Will these prices finally penetrate to people’s immediate awareness and revolt them? Meanwhile, Joke “too stupid to arrest” Bidet stumblebums on.

In reality, Trump is right, as chances are those cheapskate NATO countries who have not been paying their fair share of NATO defense costs will immediately pay up, once they learn that Trump has won the 2024 US general election and is headed back to the White House.

The U.S. used a multi-bladed weapon to kill Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah leader Abu Baqr al-Saadi in February. The U.S. targeted al-Saadi in Iraq on Feb. 7 out of retaliation for Kataib Hezbollah’s attacks against a military base in Jordan in late January that killed three U.S. troops. The weapon that was used to kill al-Saadi is a modified hellfire “flying ginsu” missile wielding six long blades, which was previously unreported in the aftermath of the strike, defense officials told The Wall Street Journal. The AGM-114 R9X hellfire missile, sometimes referred to as a Ginsu or a ninja bomb, does not contain a warhead and does not explode on impact, instead

LONDON/SINGAPORE - Global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) is estimated to rise by more than 50% by 2040, as China and countries in South and Southeast Asia use LNG to support their economic growth, Shell said on Wednesday. The market remains "structurally tight", with prices and price volatility remaining above historic averages, constraining growth, the world's largest LNG trader said in its 2024 annual LNG market outlook. Demand for natural gas has peaked in some regions, including Europe, Japan and Australia in the 2010s, but continues to rise globally, and is expected to reach around 625-685 million metric tons per year in 2040, Shell said
