Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was transferred to the critical care unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Sunday night after being transported to the hospital earlier in the day.
Austin was transported to the hospital by his security detail on Sunday for symptoms suggesting an emergent bladder issue, according to a statement released by the Department of Defense from his doctors.
Following a series of tests and evaluations, Austin was admitted into the critical care unit Sunday night for supportive care and close monitoring, the statement added.

hmmm, wonder if the "Cancer" issue wasn't much more severe than they thought - seems like it's a killer for "Black Men" according to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and " For Black men, 1 in 6 will develop prostate cancer and are more than twice as likely to die from the disease." - there is a good chance for survival if diagnosed and treated early after contraction and Austin will get the best treatment in the world

What do we know about his replacement? Kathleen Hicks has a number of degrees from various creditable colleges and universities, and worked in the Obama administration. She was on vacation with her family - she has 3 kids - in Puerto Rico when boss Austin went MIA, and not able to assume his duties right away after she found out he was incapacitated.
These two things worry me. She got her job for being a good wonk, and appears to minimize the seriousness of the job. For cripe’s sake we’ve got our hands in a few world war situations, and she hasn’t really stepped up to the plate yet,has she?

Austin should “pack in” the high stress job as Secretary of Defense if and when he gets out of the hospital, go home, and enjoy the rest of his life!

I don't agree with him about anything but I hope he makes a recovery. Cancer is a beast - I have a good friend who is recovering from throat cancer and the chemotherapy did a number on him.

Don't care about him. He has not been good for the country, his only function.

Notice that Austin gets medical care at Walter Reed that most American taxpayers have no access to. He's ruling elite all right, but where's the competence?

Actually, #10 Walter Reed is an Army hospital, and active duty folks in the area apparently use this facility, although somehow they take care of the DC Uniparty folks, too, I guess because it's "free" and close by.

I’m not a man but I do know that the prostate is in close proximity to the bladder. Sounds like his cancer has metastasized.

I think that Ausitn is one of the most incompetent Secretaries of Defense in modern history. He cares more about making use our troops use the correct pronouns, CRT and gender affirming "healthcare" for their children. All the while China, Russian and Iran run there militaries how they're supposed to be ran. Like institution made to destroy the enemy. That being said I hope that he gets well soon.
