French President Emmanuel Macron is reminding the European leaders of their responsibility to fund the multinational corporate war machine, especially if the United States doesn’t find a way to send $60 billion more in funding for the effort.
(Via Politico) – European countries must make bold and “innovative” decisions to help Ukraine even if the U.S. backs off from supporting Kyiv in the coming months, French President Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday.
[…] Europe must not delegate its security “to big powers, even if they are very good allies, because they live on the other side of the ocean,” he said.

Good - France can fund it. But Macron may want to turn his attention to internal matters as the French farmers are currently shutting down Paris.

Responsibility? Why does an uninvolved nation have a responsibility to fund someone else's war? I suppose they can if they want to, but as far as I'm concerned it makes them a legitimate target.

Europe was totally devastated the last time a lunatic, conquest driven dictator decided to take "just one country", and they stood by and let it happen. Then another country fell, and eventually Hitler had taken everything in Europe except England. In living memory, but just barely, much of Europe lived under the boot hell of a dictator.
Perhaps they are being smarter this time, stopping a mad dictator before he can take even one country.
Sundance and "conservatives" are playing the part of the foolish folks like Chamberlain, wishing for peace when the dictator will never give them peace without being defeated on the battlefield.
Those who won't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Wouldn’t it be easier just to buy a few of huncher’s paintings? Surely the US taxpayer can’t be that hard to hoodwink “one more time!!!!!”

No! No! No!
We can't let the euros pay for it. We must pay the entire tab - - in order to "save democracy" - - you know - - in Ukraine - - where it doesn't even exist

Maybe a good first step in helping another country defend it's borders would be to defend ours first.

Re #12, if you believe that, you are in for a serious disappointment. The only way this war stops is if Russia conquers all of Ukraine, which, God willing, will not happen.
And if Trump is smart, he'll support Ukraine with every weapon system that they need, rather than the dribs and drabs we've been giving. And the "billions sent" is a LIE.
Send 186 Bradley (NOT A TANK) fighting vehicles, from the thousands that the US Army used and abused in Desert Storm, and then SURPLUSED OUT, and replaced them with newer models....and then claim the FULL NEW VALUE for them as "money sent to Ukraine". That is a fraudulent accounting.
Those old Bradleys, if sold on the open market would bring perhaps 10-20% of their original value. THey are 30-40 years old.
Pretty much all the major equipment we sent them is old, used stuff, cast off by our Army. Still useful, sure, but the actual market value of most of the equipment is nothing remotely close to the $$$ figures quoted in the media.
Even the ammo and missiles....had limited shelf life left, and would have been scrapped within 5 or 10 years, after having sat in warehouses "timing out" as all munitions do. They were fine and safe to use, no problems....but not worth their full new market replacement cost.

Macron and his fellow Euroweenies are currently being paralyzed by thousands of abused farmers as their tractors block major cities and will not be spreading fertilizer for this year's crops, without which Europe will suffer widespread starvation. They all have bigger problems than Putin's squabble with Zelenskyy. America no longer has the money to give out, deal with it or you will soon be facing another French Revolution, only this time, the people will not be able to eat cake.

Oh this is delicious...Europe has to take care of European problems because America has had enough...WE are tired of being the piggy bank for the world....America taxpayers should consider paying their taxes on the last day and in some cases filing for an extension ...that should wake up Washington politicians....

About time our European vassals share a bit of the tab. Those Countries that fought for Hitler instead of USUK and Russia should pay double: Germany, Vichy France, Bulgaria, Romania, Norway and Italy.
The good end result that will come out of Nuland’s War will be the dissolution of E.U. and NATO.

Russia is engaged in a defensive war of attrition and has defeated all of the state of the art western military equipment which has been deployed. Over $100B of aid from the USA to retake a few square miles and then lose it back.
Ukraine is a corrupt money sink and this is not worthy of comparison to pre WWII Eurooe.
How many countries has Putin invaded comoared to the west since tge USSR and Warsaw Pact were disassembled?
