A hospital system in Denver warned local lawmakers this week that it is on the brink of collapse due to financial pressures created by the migrant crisis. Denver Health recorded some 20,000 visits from 8,000 Central American migrants in 2023 for everything from dental emergencies to mental health counseling, according to the Denver Post. Denver estimates more than 36,000 illegal immigrants, most of whom are Venezuelan, have arrived in the city since December 2022. Roughly half of those migrants have decided to put down roots in the city. The influx created a $2 million loss for the hospital system last year, following a $35 million loss

Unfortunately these blue 'snctuary' states will look to pass their costs on to others. And given the spinless, RINO infested Republican Congressional party they will be successful at that.

Pssst...Their home country has Socialized Medicine, a single payer which is the Govt, ALL citizens of those nations are entitled to get treatment with zero out of pocket(foreigners/visitors get billed) by that Govt.. Send all of the Bills to their country of Origin. Any not paid results in the seizure of that nations assets up to an equivalent amount. They can hardly complain, in that THEY "Nationalized" the assets of US Corporations and individuals when they took power in those same countries. Part of their justification was to provide healthcare "coverage" to all of their citizens. They are not "Undocumented" they all have documents showing exactly where they are citizens.

I've lived in Colorado for 35 years. During that time, under a succession of Democrat governors and Democrat mayors, I have watched Denver turn from a pleasant city to a shitehole - overrun with criminals, dopers, bums and illegals. I can't remember the last time I was in downtown Denver, and I won't go near the lace unless I'm armed. It's fast becoming San Francisco. Democrats ruin everything they touch.

Denver today is being run by the leftist and socialist Democrats who declared that Denver is a "sanctuary city". Yesterday I watched the very liberal spokesperson for that Denver hospital how said that they had no problem and welcomed all illegal aliens (migrants) into their hospital for medical treatment. His problem was that a large number of the people, including illegal aliens, who they treated in their Emergency Room did not pay their bills for the treatment. Therefore he thought that the Federal Government, in other words "You", should be paying for all the illegal aliens medical care that apparently has been very extensive because the illegal aliens have all sorts of medical problems and diseases. The leftist and socialist Democrat Mayor of Denver was also on TV claiming that the problem will be solved if all illegal aliens are allowed to work in the USA. He had no thoughts that if unlimited numbers of illegal aliens are allowed to work in the USA, that most would be hired by employers paying about the federal minimum wage, a situation that would disadvantage US workers, especially US minority workers, who would have to compete against the low wage illegal aliens, and would not be able to continue earning the above minimum wage higher pay they are now earning to maintain their customary US standard of living, as common sense will tell you that employers will hire the lowest cost workers that they possibly can, obviously that Mayor has no thoughts for those US workers being disadvantaged by masses of illegal aliens in the job market as the leftist and socialist Democrats consider their votes to be in the bag. Common sense will tell you that if all illegal aliens in the USA are allowed to work in the USA, that fact along will encourage and invite a lot more mass uncontrolled illegal immigration into the USA, to who the leftist and socialist Democrats plan to grant a Democrat designed "path to citizenship" amnesty and transform into future Democrat supporters and voters in the years ahead by the tens of millions.

#12 A woman on a local talk show described a similar situation when she visited a hospital emergency room. When she was asked about her citizenship, the woman responded with the question: "If I say I'm not a citizen, do I get free health care?" The hospital worker refused to answer her question.

The stock market keeps scaling new heights as investors focus on the good and ignore the bad, no matter how bad the bad parts might look sometimes. Prospects for a slowing economy, geopolitical unrest and turmoil in Washington aren't scaring market participants largely because none of those threats have turned into much in reality. What instead has taken center stage is an economy performing remarkably well, inflation pulling back and a run of positive developments in Big Tech that has outweighed any what-ifs that the market has had to endure. The better-than-expected reading in sentiment reported by the University of Michigan on Friday reflected a brightening of moods across all age and income groups, education and geographical locations as well as political affiliation. It suggested that Americans were finally warming up to the economy's resilience after much anxiety over high inflation, which has weighed on President Joe Biden's popularity. More than two-thirds of the 1 percent support rationing vital energy and food sources in an attempt to control the globe’s weather.
