Joyce Randolph, who starred in the 1955 sitcom “The Honeymooners,” has died. She was 99. Randolph reportedly died peacefully Saturday in her sleep in her New York City home due to the effects of old age, her son told TMZ. According to the outlet, the last surviving member of the hit television show had been in hospice care at the time of her death and was unable to walk. The Michigan native, who was born in 1924, got her acting start when she moved to New York City in 1950 to star in a Broadway show called “Ladies Night in a Turkish Bath” before moving into TV.

Comments:

May she rest in peace. The Honeymooners was one of my favorite shows on late night television when I was babysitting as a teenager.

I still like the Honeymooners, but she was my least favorite of the four main characters. I think she did a poor job of acting in that series. Nothing personal against her, because I'd never seen her in any other role.

An era where true creativity reigned on TV. Kramden and Norton, walk-up tenement, most (if not all) episodes done with almost no rehearsal.

There's more talent, humor, and creativity in a single Honeymooners episode than there exists today in an entire year's worth of Hollywood productions. If you haven't watched lately, try to find them - you won't be disappointed! RIP Ms. Randolph.

I remember watching this show late at night on various channels like TV Land and Nike at Night. I loved it then as it was good comedy like most of the shows of its kind in that era. Rest in peace Joyce as you were a big part of why the show was so funny.

As RedState reported, Fani Willis finally responded to the allegations that she hired the man she was having an affair with to be a special counsel in her office. For some reason, she decided to give her remarks in front of a black church congregation. In doing so, she interspersed claims of racial persecution with a total disregard for her moral and professional failures. In other words, she's in full panic mode. WILLIS: God, why don't they look at themselves and just be honest? I mean, they can't keep it a hundred with themselves?

President Joe Biden's connection to reality and truth has been tenuous at best...for years. His habit of lying about events in his own life — a disastrous kitchen fire, growing up in the Puerto Rican community, starting the civil rights movement at a black church in Delaware, etc. — in order to pander to his audiences has earned him a mountain of Pinocchios from the Washington Post. Now, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the White House is taking up Biden's habit of telling untruths with a post about MLK. More specifically a bust of the civil rights leader, featured in a post on social media from the White House,

Our GOP nominee, whoever he is – and it will be a “he” because the GOP base is never ever going to nominate that donor diva from 2004, Nikki Haley – must pick and publicize his administration immediately upon clinching the brass ring. My pal and fellow Salem pundit Hugh Hewitt recently made this same suggestion, citing the need to show that the next administration would be staffed with competent pros who would return America to prosperity and security while creating a corps of surrogates to raise dough and campaign in the event

The story flew under the radar since there were scant details. We also have many pressing domestic problems, but the war in Gaza was raging, and the Thanksgiving holiday was also around this time. It’s easy for this story to have slipped through the cracks. That didn’t stop liberal America from framing this shooting as the ‘Islamophobic Crime of the Century.’ In November 2023, Jason J. Eaton, 48, shot and wounded three students of Palestinian descent in Burlington, Vermont. The crime was investigated as “hate-motivated.” Nothing was confirmed, but Joe Biden commented on it, along with other Democrats, despite zero confirmation that Eaton was fueled by anti-Muslim rage (via Axios):

As President Joe Biden’s immigration crisis overwhelms the United States and wreaks havoc on the state’s resources, confidential documents suggest the president’s open border policies were intentional. The Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) filed a lawsuit against Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS), claiming the agency halted the 287(g) program, which assists in the deportation of illegal migrant child rapists, attempted murderers, assailants, carjackers, and other known criminals. In August 2023, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) revealed that the government ended the program in January 2021— right after Biden entered office. However, the compromised agency gave no reason why the government did that.

The Biden team has been limiting his contact with media for a long time. As part of the new strategy that they're going to employ, they're going to have him out meeting the people more, and doing smaller podcast-type interviews. They think that's going to help sell him and get past the age problem. That didn't work out very well when they ran him around to various stores in the Allentown, Pennsylvania, area and he looked very bad, and contradicted himself on the Houthis, and other subjects. They also had him do a very short interview with historian Heather Cox Richardson,

If you thought that Joe Biden is a prolific pusher of malarkey, it seems that his wife, Jill, wants to challenge him for the crown. She would have to go a ways, but she's making a big effort with a comment that she made to the audience on the "Morning Joe" show. We already reported on her interview with Mika Brezinski which was just a horrible effort to sell Joe Biden for his re-election. But that isn't going over very well. On the eve of the Iowa Republican caucus, the New York Times editorial board begged Republicans to abandon 2024 frontrunner former President Donald Trump in a piece Monday morning. In the piece titled “The Responsibility of Republican Voters,” the left-wing newspaper tried to guilt Republicans into supporting someone else. The board said: Iowa Republicans who will gather on Monday to cast the first votes of the 2024 presidential campaign season, and voters in New Hampshire and the states that will follow, have one essential responsibility: to nominate a candidate who is fit to serve as president, one who will ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’

President Joe Biden raised more than $97 million in the final three months of last year for his re-election campaign as he prepares to make his case to voters for a second term. The amount was more money than the $68 million that former President Barack Obama raised during the same period of his reelection but it was dwarfed by the $154 million that former President Donald Trump raised for his. Biden's war chest was boosted by a series of star-studded fundraising events, including one in Boston that featured singer-songwriter James Taylor, and three days in California for gatherings with Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Shonda Rhimes, Rob Reiner, and David Geffen.

While the overwhelming percentage of Republican voters in Iowa would support Trump if he gets the GOP nod, Haley’s supporters have a different plan.
