Claudine Gay may have resigned, but that doesn't mean she's sorry.
The resignation letter she released Tuesday afternoon is a doozy. Truly, it's one for the books, lengthy and self-pitying and utterly shameless, signed by Gay herself — sans irony — as the sole author!
Really: Are we to believe she wrote this on her own? Then again, this sayonara is so unoriginal, so predictable in its grievances, it's quite possible.
Let's start with the subject line: 'Personal News'.
Is it? Is it really 'personal news' when you have been making national headlines for months and dragging the world's top university down with you, first for failing to condemn antisemitism before Congress,

She sorta reminds me of Obama-full of virtue, tonedeaf to reality, and never too busy to praise herself.

Good start. Too bad we can't take a look at the Supreme Court.

Affirmative Action hires ALWAYS scream “racism!” when they get fired. It’s the only thing they know.

This resignation letter should be used as the premier example of PROJECTION.

I wanted to see what Joy Reid had to say about Claudine so I held my nose and turned to that stupid MSNBC channel. As expected, she said it was because white men wanted to replace all people of color in important positions. Not one word about the anti-Semitism and the lifetime of plagiarism.

#5, seriously. Why does anyone want to know what Joy Reid thinks or has to say?

As I said in my comments on the story I tried to post about her private letter--beyond incredible hubris. And with nothing to base it on except an exalted sense of self-worth.

FTA: "These last weeks...have helped make clear the work we need to do ... to affirm our enduring commitment to open inquiry and free expression in the pursuit of truth." --this is one of the most ludicrous statements. Harvard's faculty is now without one open conservative, Harvey Mansfield having retired recently. I say "open" because no doubt, like in other institutions, it's too risky to one's career to admit non-conformity to leftwing ideology, Democrat party, and the "orthodoxy" which the powerful elite concoct and propound.
This is true in some professions more than others, for example the law. My husband's a lawyer, and he tells me the local defense bar is univocal and frankly vapid and stale... because everyone says the same dang thing, utters the same opinion, boast of the same political bent.
And this is what has become the norm. And this is what is disturbing and frightening, because this is how a totalitarian regime becomes viable, because such a regime depends on the atrophy and entropy of the intellectual and spiritual life of the people... making them much easier to control.
You have to remember that Orwell was not inventing a dystopia in "1984", he was describing it as he witnessed the reality of Bolshevik, "Communist", Russia and the fascist NAZI States. He was a socialist himself, but an honest man and observer, and tried to warn humanity of what those ideologies produce.
So Gay and the others college presidents when sitting before Congress read statements written for them (curious, none acknowledged the source lolol). Not one could be original or honest. Truth??? They really can't handle the truth. They are the very milieu in which they were "educated" and now work and perpetuate, and they are too un-self-reflective to understand, to SEE, who and what they've become: conformists in a stultifyingly banal world of their own making.

Claudine, you are a racist, a cheat, and a liar.
Now everyone at Harvard knows it.
I hope the donors keep holding on to their money until you are really fired.

Gay's resignation sums the leftist worldview. Everything must be even stevens and so you will be elevated on the basis of your skin color not your qualifications. To do that we bestow upon you a license to do whatever it takes to achieve that. Along the way we will convince you and your peers that you are much more intelligent than you really are. Stealing someone's intellectual property is an appropriate means to an end. If ever you are called out on your qualifications and are terminated or must resign from a position, remember, never admit to any impropriety and be sure to pull out your license, the one that says in big bold letters, Race Card.

Is it any wonder why Obozo helped get this grifter this Harvard position? She's a female version of himself.
