Andrew Cuomo ‘leaning towards’ mayoral
run, if Adams craps out

Andrew Cuomo is officially waiting (very quietly) in the wings, Page Six hears. Insiders tell us that the former governor — who has been quietly polling on his chances of being elected mayor of New York City in the event the troubled Eric Adams craps out — is “leaning towards” a run at City Hall. Adams is not only facing historically low approval ratings, but his office is also under investigation for its ties to the Turkish government. Now we hear Cuomo — who himself resigned in 2021, after a string of sexual harassment allegations against him (which he has consistently denied) — is ready to run should the opportunity present itself.

There are two broad categories of human beings, those who insist on running the affairs of other people, and those who have no interest in controlling other people's lives, and just want to live their own lives. Cuomo absolutely cannot abide having only his employees to order around.

I'm a long way from Noo Yawk City. I don't like Cuomo from what I read about him, and what he did with the nursing home situation should have him sued into multiple bankruptcies. However, it seems to me that the 'sexual harassment' claims against him fit the classic Democ'RAT pattern of personal destruction. After all, they did it to many people (usually Republicans) including Donald Trump, they tried it against Justice Clarence Thomas, they tried it against Justice Kavenaugh, heck, they even tried it against Professor Alan Dershowitz. In Cuomo's example, it seems to me that the whole purpose was not to drive him from the Gov'nuh's office, but to dirty him up so that he would not run against The HairSniffer in the Democ'RAT Presidential primaries. Think about it..... Cuomo had national name recognition and a decent 'war chest', and probably would be a better candidate than The HairSniffer, the HildeBeast, or The Mooch. But, whoever it is, hidden Behind the Green Curtain, that have their hands on the levers of power in the Democ'RAT party, decided that they wanted someone different than Cuomo. Likely someone who was easier to control, and The HairSniffer and Heels-Up Harris fit the bill.

Of course, Cuomo will win election. The reason is simple: “Stupid is as stupid does.” And the denizens of NYC are THE absolutely stupidest living creatures on planet earth. I’m surprised they have the mental capacity to breathe. Don’t take my word for it. Look at the record. They prove it every chance they get. Profoundly, irretrievably, irredeemably STUPID. You can argue against that premise all you want, but it is true and the damnable misery of it is that those brainless buffoons are so smugly superior in their abject stupidity. When their shitehole of a corrupt, crime-infested third-world city inevitably fails, the normal (non-stupid) people out here in flyover country will be forced to save them from their stubborn stupidity through federal theft. God, how I despise those imbeciles! Hey, but at least they have Broadway shows and good restaurants. s/off.

It seems clear to me that Jack Smith was appointed for the purpose of besetting Donald J. Trump and finding a means to keep him from running for president again. If I’m right, Smith's many strategies have come to naught this week and it is extremely unlikely that the cases he instituted in the District of Columbia and Florida (meritless as I think they are) will ever be resolved before the election. The case in the District of Columbia is being heard before Judge Tanya Chutkan. She indicated she wants to hear the case this coming March and has been firm about sticking to that.

A major pro-Palestinian advocacy group is creating a political arm that would grade members of Congress on a scorecard, mobilize voters for candidates it supports and make political donations. The news, announced Thursday by the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, followed similar moves in recent years by Jewish Voice for Peace, an anti-Zionist group, and American Muslims for Palestine, amid shifting political currents in the country. For decades, American voters have shown more sympathy for Israelis than Palestinians, and these attitudes have been consistent across party affiliation and age range. But that seems to be changing.

If the Biden administration thought that by rescuing Iran's economy, which had hit bottom, and removing the Houthis from the list of Foreign Terror Organizations would make both Iran into an ally, the generosity appears to have backfired. If the Iranian regime is allowed to advance to nuclear weapons capability, it will be on course finally to drive the US out of the region; threaten its oil-rich neighbors; destabilize Europe; deploy military assets in Venezuela and Cuba, and, at last, come for the "Great Satan," the United States.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday ruled that the state’s legislative maps, which give Republicans the advantage, are unconstitutional and ordered new lines drawn for the 2024 election. The 4-3 decision overturning the current maps in a key battleground state carries major implications for the 2024 election and comes after liberals won control of the court this spring. The Wisconsin case is among a slew of redistricting fights across the country that could determine control of governing bodies from local governing boards to state legislatures and the US House of Representatives.

Japan’s governing Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) on Friday replaced two of its top executives, as part of a purge related to the worst corruption scandal to rock the country in three decades. The outgoing executives were in charge of policy and parliamentary affairs. They belonged to an LDP faction — a sort of party within a party — formerly led by the late ex-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Japan’s current prime minister, Fumio Kishida, has been sacking party chiefs and Cabinet members to save his administration, as prosecutors investigate allegations that LDP ministers and lawmakers violated political finance laws.
