NY Times: Don’t Worry About the $112.1B
in Shoplifting, It’s a Right-Wing Narrative

Original Article

The New York Times has developed a well-deserved reputation for gaslighting its readers by scorning narratives that don’t fit its increasingly left bent. Once considered the foremost news organization in the country and possibly the world, it has descended into a woke blog whose stories more often seem to emanate from a fledgling college student rather than from actual expert reporters. To wit, I received the following newsletter in my email recently: “We’re covering claims of a shoplifting boom… Viral exaggerations.” Really, NY Slimes? It’s the right-wing media who are concocting this crisis out of thin air, we’ve “pounced on it," as they love to say—it’s not actually a serious consideration?

Comments:

People who get their news from the NY Times, the WaPo, etc will believe it.

They have been a left wing propaganda outlet for decades. https://irr.org.za/media/how-the-new-york-times-once-covered-up-famine-in-ukraine-politicsweb

The 2023 Nobel Prize for Gaslighting goes to the New York Times. They think we're stupid: "When New York City is excluded, however, reported shoplifting incidents fell over the same time period. Out of the 24 cities, 17 reported decreases in shoplifting." We deplorables, who happen to still have critical thinking skills, know what NYT is doing here, the key word being "reported." If employees are told not to confront a shoplifter, then none of the incidents will be reported. So the big-screen TVs keep walking out the door. And, voila, reported shoplifting incidents decline.

Ever consider this is one of the reasons for the rise in prices?! It ticks me off to watch the videos of this theft. Where are the leaders in the black communities speaking out against this?! Probably benefiting from the results. This is shameful. No one should steal and no one should enable them.

The Times would have nothing to enable in their gaslighting manner if these shoplifters would just stop breaking the law and refrain from this group thievery. They act like land pirates. They come in an trash the place and leave with whatever bounty they collect with zero consequences. It is shameful that leaders in their communities do not speak out against this. They have no right to the merchandise. It is a sin to steal. Can we get conformation from black pastors? This crime touches everyone. The stores that pull out of the communities take the jobs with them and prices will necessarily rise and cause us all to suffer. Law and order matters. You cannot have a civil society without it and the lack of a broken judicial system effects us all. This is one of the many examples that proves it. Add to that an enabling piece of tripe like the NYT and you have lawless chaos.

White Flight is a phenomenon few minority people want to seriously address: Whites flee b l a c k areas because of rampant crime, noise, dirt and the attendant reduction in property values. People don't take care of their properties because they have no skin in the game. They have no skin in the game because someone else pays their bills. It's a vicious cycle. It is not racism to point out what is wrong. It IS racism to deny what is wrong and instead to blame White people because...slavery. Blacks will never rise if they keep falling for the NYT narrative of systemic racism and other lies. Theft and crime is high because there are no deterrents and where there are none, people revert to their sinful state of pride, greed, avarice and lust. You cannot make a silk purse...etc.
