Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) is ordering Michigan’s state fleet of vehicles to be 100 percent electric by 2040. In a new directive Tuesday, Whitmer announced a move to bring the state’s fleet of vehicles down to zero greenhouse gas emissions in fewer than two decades. The goal, Whitmer wrote in the order, is “essential” for her administration’s green energy agenda. Whitmer wrote in the directive: Michigan is on the cutting-edge of mobility and electrification. Our world-leading auto industry is making the switch to electric, and we continue to attract battery, semiconductor, and clean energy investments from other states and nations. We must usher the future of mobility and clean energy into Michigan

Queen Whitmer has been able to rule by edict and decree since the Republicans in Michigan are so inept and uncoordinated that even though the courts have repeatedly ruled against her, she just keeps on using executive privilege. Michigan is undergoing an exodus of the young and bright, similar to the Long Dark (8 years of Governor Jennifer Granholm (D)). Over the past two years Whitmer has used the one-time COVID funds to fund things like education and other recurrent spending, and when all the COVID money is gone, she will be coming back looking for massive tax increases.

Go for it. The majority of voters in Michigan elected her. They deserve exactly what they are getting!!! EV's are notoriously undependable in cold weather. Michigan has some of the harshest winter weather in this republic. When nobody can get to work when the first even fairly mild blizzard hits because none of the EV snowplows will work, that cluster funk will be not-so-affectionately called a "Whitmer"!!!!!

So if you need the Michigan State Police to help you they should arrive in 3 or 4 hours after their EV is charged. I find it difficult to believe this woman is doubling down on electric vehicles even as more information comes out about their shortcomings. She must have a lot invested in the EV companies.

Whitless is the reason I left Michigan in 2021. I still need to understand how a solidly red state House and Senate flipped to solid blue. I tried to vote in November 2020 but had great difficulty. The 'computer' kept saying that I had already voted by mail. Right. I lived three blocks from the voting hall, so why would I mail anything? After roughly twenty minutes, the machine took my ballot, but I had a sneaking suspicion I voted straight blue. I knew right then that we were screwed.

Hear that flushing noise? Amid all the screeching of the anti-Semitic global elites, the haze of pro-Hamas global protests, and the Biden administration's efforts to micromanage how Israel conducts its war against avowed terrorists, Israel's Defense Forces have been quietly takin' care of business.
