More than 150 Iowa “faith leaders” have announced they are supporting Donald Trump in the state’s forthcoming caucuses. At the same time, Bob Vander Plaats, an influential Iowa evangelical leader, is supporting Ron DeSantis. Predictably, Donald Trump slammed Vander Plaats as a “scammer.” You stay classy, Donald. Could this suggest a division within evangelical circles? These endorsements came days before the release of Tim Alberta’s book “The Kingdom, The Power, And the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism.” Alberta, a writer for The Atlantic and other publications, and an evangelical Christian,

Once again, Cal Thomas offers a stunning but delusional from the standpoint of its context being based on the delusions of President Trump’s adversaries enhanced this time by a forthcoming book written by Tim Alberta about American evangelicals that deeply and personally examines “the divisions that threaten to destroy the American evangelical movement.” Mr. Alberta co-moderated the final Democrat presidential debate of 2019. Para 3~ quotes Donald Trump as saying during the 2016 race... / With the unprecedented hatred against Donald Trump as Candidate and President being what it is, and the reality of deceptions being revealed over time, dismissal of the accusation seems appropriate. Further, Author Tom Albert’s criticism of Candidate as well as President Trump goes back several years as a writer for Politico and The Atlantic. Focusing on one individual repeatedly may, to some observers, suggest a deliberate purpose, an agenda. Para 4~ When that (the alleged derogatory statement about Christians)... / The accusation of Christians having a blind faith, and seemingly more faith and trust in President Trump than God, is an erroneous insulting assumption, opinion, and judgment. Scripture warns, “Judge not.” (Matthew 7:1-3) Para 5~ The twisting of Scripture--“God has used bad people in the past to do His will”--is just one of many rationalizations Alberta heard. / Scripture reveals that God uses sinners to bring about His will: Noah got drunk (Genesis 9:21); Abraham lied about his wife; Jacob was a deceiver; Moses murdered an Egyptian; Rahab was a harlot; Samson had serious problems with lust and anger; Saul (later Paul) persecuted the church; Peter denied Christ. Para 6~ Trump responding to Russell Moore, who resigned from a top position in the Southern Baptist Convention, … a nasty guy with no heart!” Look who’s talking. / The man “talking” is Donald Trump: - Widow's daughter recalls how The Donald paid off her mom's $300,000 mortgage after her father committed suicide - Trump honors war dead with his heart and wallet - When Mayor Ed Koch needed someone to raise the money to build the Vietnam Veterans Plaza in New York City in 1983, he called on Donald John Trump. Trump raised the money the old-fashioned way, by writing the first check. He donated a million bucks, which was 40% of the $2.5 million needed. - In 1986 a farmer, Lenard Hill, took his own life on the morning his farm was to go to a courthouse auction, believing his life insurance would pay enough to save the cotton and soybean farm in his family over 100 years. A complete stranger in Queens N.Y. read about this story and paid off the remaining $77,000. - A USMC Sergeant spent seven months in a Mexican prison for accidentally crossing the border with a firearm. He was beaten and tortured in jail. Once he was released, the man from Queens sent him a check for $25,000 "To get you started." - In 2013 a black bus driver saves a suicidal girl from jumping off a bridge. Our Queens man sends him a check for $10,000. - A Rabbi's critically ill son needs to go from NYC to California for specialty care treatment in 1988. No airline will fly him. A generous man in Queens pays for a private flight for the child. - In 2017 after Army Corporal Dillon Baldridge was killed in Afghanistan, a generous man in Queens sent his father a check for $25,000. - “Trump’s Untold Tales Of Kindness: In 1997, Trump Fought To Make Mar-A-Lago The First Club To Allow Blacks & Jews” - President Trump donates $100K of salary to help repair monuments damaged by anti-police brutality protests Para 9~ I recall what Franklin Graham said after Trump won the 2016 election: “God showed up... / God selects heads of nations; sometimes God gives people the person they want instead of the person they need. (Haggai 2:20-23; 1 Chronicles 14:2; Daniel 2:21, 4:17; Romans 13:1-2; Revelation 1:4-5) “You will recognize them by their fruits. ...” (Matthew 7:16-23) / The accusation of a “modern form of idol worship” is insulting, judgmental and wrong. Again, “Judge not.” (Matthew 7:1-3) Para 10~ There is considerable harm being done by evangelicals because of their devotion to Trump.. / No, “considerable harm” is not being done “by evangelicals because of their devotion to Trump.” The harm was done by the counterculture of the 1960s, aided and abetted by the less than honest mainstream media, debasement by the entertainment industry in all its forms, and clever marketing manipulation of the human psyche. Para 11~ Could one explanation be that so many evangelicals are not obeying the commands of Jesus which include, “love your enemy” and other admonitions contrary to much of modern politics? / Yet again, judgment/opinion comes into play about evangelicals and obedience or disobedience in living according to the teachings of Scripture. God created all things, including governing authorities as taught in Romans 13 (Submission to Authorities). People of faith do their utmost to lead lives pleasing to God; however, there are times when people of faith must decide whether to follow God’s laws or man’s laws and it is without question that God’s laws prevail over man’s laws. Scripture also teaches that mortal man has a right to self-defense which should not be dismissed by a liberal mind-set. (Psalm 18:34, 82:4, 144:1, Proverbs 24:11, Matthew 12:29, Luke 11:21, 22:35-39, Romans 13:4, 1Timothy 5:8) Para 12~ Tim Alberta’s book is not a screed, rather a revelation of how many biblical illiterates exist in the evangelical fold. / Another judgment/opinion about evangelicals being “biblical illiterates” which is not only insulting but pitiful in the sense of self-righteousness on the part of those casting stones. It has been written, “When the old sinful nature rises to cause grievances between Christians, it also tempts us to seek satisfaction through secular processes. God calls churches to settle grievances through Law and Gospel before matters get out of hand.” The evangelicals being repeatedly targeted for their support of President Trump are simply exhibiting a sincere appreciation for someone who stands for truth and justice; someone taking the slings and arrows for them, to protect them and to fight for the preservation of rights afforded all Americans under the United States Constitution.

I guess Cal and Tim never thought about Winston Churchill and FDR and that they were not perfect Baptists either. But they were used of God to destroy Hitler and the Nazis. Young people are rejecting organized religion because they are being brainwashed by social media and in their colleges and universities not because of Trump. Just spend some time watching students interacting with Charlie Kirk and other campus conservatives and you will see that they have been ruined into believing that there is no objective truth not to mention their support of every kind of sexually perverted mentally disturbed behavior. Their World View has been shaped by perversion pushing actors and musicians who spout lies and false history. Trump is not my favorite but if he is the nominee he will get my vote.

Key phrase in the article about author Alberta: "writes for The Atlantic..." So he's a leftist. The truth is that many leftists are hiding under the sheep's clothing of "evangelicalism," such as the execrable David French. Conversely, many "evangelicals" have decided that the social justice gospel is more important than the Gospel and have put their SJW credentials ahead of any residual "Christianity" they might have. Andy Staney comes to mind. These faux evangelicals are rotting their churches at the core, adopting sexual deviancy, libertine degeneracy, murderous abortion support and every other kind of contemporary clap-trap. But the true Gospel of Jesus Christ will prevail.

1. Thomas fails to mention the awkward fact that Van der Plats got $100k before his endorsement, which is what Pres Trump pointed out. 2. He refutes the voters who view Pres Trump's flaws and still vote for him. Are you kidding me? President Trump received an X-Ray prostate probe on live TV for 4 straight years and withstood a political assassination. And all they could find were mean words? Grow up Cal. I mean have some substance to your griping.

It is simple. We are voting for a Command in Chief, not a Pastor in Chief. The fact that President Trump acknowledges God as the Creator and Savior is much more than most politicians are willing to do. He defends the faith and I respect him for that. Many of these so called evangelical leaders defend their right to live the high life. It is their primary goal. They spread the prosperity gospel with fervor but shy away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You know the one Jesus preached. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ willingly laid His life down as the perfect sacrifice for sin which is something we all struggle with daily. He is the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the Father but by Him. When we accept Him as Savior, we are never promised a life without worry and strife. We are, however, promised a home in Heaven for eternity. Those slick evangelical prosperity preachers teach something very different that is clearly not in the scriptures which is why people flock to them. They promise what they cannot deliver and they know it but it provides them with a very cushy lifestyle. Sorry about the rant. I just do not respect anyone who teaches this. It is misleading and self-serving. Cal Thomas is a twit.

I am reminded that Bob Vander Plaats was paid by Ron DeSantis' campaign. That bothers me because now votes can become paid for and it reinforces why I believe there should be "real" campaign finance reform. Not John McCain style. When votes can become paid for, it takes away from the average American citizen and their right to vote. It was very telling for me when I found out that Donald Trump paid for his own campaign in 2016 and forfeited the salary of President of the USA. Stay classy? It starts with how you handle yourself as a leader. If you are there for a paycheck, I guess a person can be bought. . .

The word evangelical has become politicized. Many that claim that belief have little idea what it means. I call myself an orthodox Christian because I affirm the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. There are evangelicals with left leaning political beliefs.

Evangelicals are the same as any other group or organization, in competition with each other, some honest, some in it for the money and/or power and some radical to the point of insanity. Anybody who takes a good look at Biden and the democrats see that religious freedoms are in danger and their way of life will get worse before it gets better, ergo, Donald Trump.

Our Baptist pastor, who is very "hard-core" and extremely well known world-wide (no Rick Warren squish) has had very positive dealings with him, beginning well before the Trump Presidency, knows him well, and considers him a friend. Incidentally, Donald Trump did more to support Israel and the Jews than that "Evangelical" George W. Bush. Genesis 12:2. Trump may never have read it, but God knows whose side he's on.

There is no monolithic group properly named evangelicals. They are not a voting bloc, nor do they gather around single flag of doctrinal teaching. Evangelicals are those who embrace a born again experience with Jesus Christ. They are democrats, republicans, Catholicism baptists and a whole lot in between. You can’t divide what doesn’t exist as a group that is not politically united.

I used to enjoy Cal's opinion pieces but he's gone off the rails, suffering from TDS. He should buckle up --- he may have some surprises coming his way. I've been keeping my eye on prophecy for quite some time. PDJT IS God’s choice for this time, pure and simple. In all the time I've been watching, that message has never changed one bit. President Trump will return and with vengeance. Our LORD is returning with him and HE will supply the vengeance. There will be copious amounts of "woe" for everyone who ridiculed and mocked him, and especially so for those who made the President's life a living hell for almost 8 years. The LORD has His hand on the President as He has on Bibi. We still have some "stuff" to get through and some things will shake us up but the LORD will protect all who are His throughout it all. The LORD has control of everything so we need to take our focus off of what the government's media says. NOTHING is as they want us to think it is. Our LORD is coming and He brings deliverance; not only to us but worldwide. We must stay positive and patient. It'll happen.

It is a key concept in contemporary Arabic usage referring to a uprising against oppression.[1 Yes, they are on the streets of an American city calling for rebellion. As Libs of TikTok's Chaya Raichik writes, "Imagine being a Jewish student there…"

The flailing Disney Corporation is still digging that woke hole to bury itself in and its latest Christmas movie aimed at teens is just another example of its continuing obsession to jam radical LGBT themes in every movie and TV show it makes for kids. If you thought you might be tuning in to see its newest holiday flick, “The Naughty Nine,” to see a fun Christmas romp, you’ll instead be confronted with a family headed by a pair of gay dads and another scene where two young boys are confiding in each other about who they think is a male “hottie.”

Sundance, that tireless intellectual warrior standing guard over at The Conservative Treehouse, occasionally jeers: “You ‘conservative pundits’ still don’t get it. Trump isn’t our candidate. He’s our murder weapon. And the GOP is our victim.” Recently, he returned to that refrain after highlighting an interview in which Mitt Romney announced his intention to vote for a Democrat unless Republican primary voters nominated Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, or Ron DeSantis for president. Given that Romney tried to remove President Trump from office for Joe Biden’s quid-pro-quo crimes in Ukraine and elsewhere, his continued betrayal of grassroots voters is no surprise. Still, considering how many ordinary

In a stunning jab to Fox News, host Greg Gutfeld called out the network for firing Tucker Carlson. Gutfeld compared the ongoing advertiser boycott of Elon Musk's X to Fox News' decision to fire Carlson, arguing that both icons pose too many challenges to elitists. The host said that Musk telling off "cowardly advertisers" who cave to pressure from the radical Left and abandoning X is "how it's done." After showing the clip of Musk saying "G. F. Y." about top brands' decision to stop advertising on his platform, Gutfeld praised Musk while throwing a jab at his own network's decision to get rid of Carlson.
