The Princess of Wales brushed off the fallout from a race row this evening as she glistened in a show-stopping gown upon arrival at the Royal Variety Performance. Kate, 41, paired her stunning £1,288 Talina gown from Safiyaa with an equally dazzling smile as she stepped out in Kensington, showing no sign of anguish after a turbulent week for the royal family following the release of a bombshell book.(Snip)The pair identified in the book were named widely by media organisations around the world tonight, including the Guardian and the Times, as King Charles and Kate.

And that's exactly what they should do from here on out. Ignore Markle and Harry, no matter what they say. That will drive Markle crazy, well I mean crazier. No one believes them anymore about anything.

British royal news? At last check we don't have royalty. Why do we care about any of those people at all?
They are the descendants of the people we broke away from in a bloody war. Nothing more.

There is not a family in the world that doesn't speculate on what offspring will look like, and given the Markles' hair-trigger ability to take offense at anything and be a victim of everything, I won't believe family comments were anything more than innocent curiosity unless and until there is concrete evidence to prove otherwise (i.e., video, audio, or a confession). A lily-white ginger marries a pretty, self-declared "mixed-race" woman...innocent curiosity seems most likely, assuming anything was said at all (since the Markles can't seem to get their story straight on when this happened and what was meant).

I have a friend who is black, married to a black man. When she and her husband were expecting their second child, she told me they wondered what kind of skin tone she would have. They had a healthy beautiful little girl who has a medium brown complexion. She grew up to be a smart and accomplished young woman just like her mother.
Everyone speculates what their child will look like. There's no racism.

Wondering what color the skin will be is a normal question. We all wonder what our children will look like or who they will favor. There was no racism in the question. Megan is a mean, jealous woman who has trashed her own family and his. We never see her mention her black relatives on her mother's side. Why not? I am really getting tired of all the hoopla over Harry and Megan and Princess Diana. Someone needs to tell Harry to grow up and Megan to stop whining. She's not a victim; she's a vicious social climber who will leave him once his title is no longer of use to her.

First it was an elderly member of the royal family offending Megan and Harry. Now it has evolved to Kate and the King. All this skin color whining about Archie but none about their daughter? Good thing nobody asked if Archie would have an afro.

All this chatter about what the baby will look like is normal! Believe me as a redhead that is what you hear when you have a baby. Will the baby have red hair? No big deal. Like skin color, it is normal to speculate when you have children with another ethnicity. No one should take offense. It’s just curiosity. Yep, our second child is a redhead and I am sure when the grandkids have babies, there will be speculation again. Lighten up.

Harry needs to be taken out of the line of ascension. God forbid anything happens to this beautiful family. Harry would ascend to the throne with Meghan as the queen.
Do it yesterday!

Meghan started this whole row by making this claim in the first place. If it was bad enough to bring up, she should have named names. But it was not bad enough to bring up, at least not publicly, given how it has driven a wedge between her husband and his family. Harry appears exceedingly weak in this drama, or should I call it a tempest in a teapot.

Princess Catherine is a perfect example that one does not need to expose massive amounts of flesh to be sexy and elegant. Her clothing choices remind me of Melania’s exquisite taste.

All families wonder about babies. In fact, back when Megan’s mother was pregnant with her there was widespread speculation within the family on both sides as to whether Meghan would be a soft-hearted romantic like her father or a gold-digging conniving Jezebel like her mother.

My husband and I both had dark brown hair and brown eyes in our younger days. Our son, as a young child, had blonde hair and bright blue eyes and very fair skin color. Our second child, a daughter, has black hair, dark brown eyes and olive skin tone. We were out to dinner one night and my husband overheard an older couple in the next booth saying our son must be mine from a previous marriage. We were not offended at all, we just thought it was hysterical.

When is the news media going to quit calling Prince William's wife, "Kate Middleton"?
Kate Middleton married William Windsor in 2011. They now have three kids. The couple have now been the Prince and Princess of Wales for over a year.
Does the media think we won't know who they are talking about if they don't refer to "Kate Middleton"? That we won't be able to wrap our minds around the fact that a headline reading, "Princess Kate and Prince William ignore fallout from Omid Scobie race row..." is referring to the the former "Kate Middleton"?
Do they think the title "Princess of Wales" belongs, in perpetuity, to Diana Spencer Windsor, who lost that title at her divorce in 1996? (She was allowed to continue using the courtesy title "Princess"; she wasn't the "Princess" of anything.)
When is Prince George going ask, "Mommy, why do you and daddy have different last names?"

My daughter is part Mexican and her husband is part black. Both of them, along with the rest of the family, have wondered about the skin tone of all three of their children before each was born. And no one was offended by any of it.

#22, the general rule is that the children will be no lighter than the lightest parent and no darker than the darkest parent, but there are exceptions.
And remember newborns haven't been exposed to light, yet, while the parents probably did not grow up in a cave.

For a break amidst the bleak and frustrating goings-on in the world, this article offers a glimpse of lightness, civility, royalty, glamour and glitz at this year’s Royal Variety Performance in London this evening. Royals attending the event included Prince William and Princess Catherine as well their guests, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband, Prince Daniel. Of special note are the windswept hair photos by Max Mumby and Getty Images of Princess Catherine that reveal her exquisite beauty otherwise hidden by her very long tresses.
