Senate Democrats block bipartisan House

Senate Democrats blocked a stand-alone Israel aid package led by Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., Tuesday after a lengthy debate on the chamber floor. Marshall sought unanimous consent for the House's version of the package, which passed the lower chamber with bipartisan support Nov. 2 and would earmark $14.3 billion reallocated from funds meant for the IRS in President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act. Senators Marshall, Ted Cruz, JD Vance and Mike Lee introduced the Senate version last month. But Democrats shot down the effort because the package does not include aid to Ukraine. A handful of Republican senators argued the two emergency aid packages should be split up and voted on separately.

Not that sure groping Joe is the only one getting a cut. I cannot see the rest of the Democrats that worried about Joe getting a cut, there must be some of the rest making a buck in this too. personally i like the Senate and the House voting on bill that are separated from anything else. Every bill should pass on it's own merits.

Why should aid to Israel ( the only sane country in the mid east ) be coupled with more $$$$ to Ukraine ( the money laundering capitol of the world ) ? Only the willfully blind on the left see a moral equivalence.

Sounds like a win. We don't need to throw 14 billion at Israel when we already send almost 5 billion each year to a rich country. Now, if Congress can divert funds from that pile of 90 billion allocated to the IRS, by all means, do it.

Biden recently release $10B to Iran. Biden and minions say, "it was their money" but they will assuredly use it against Israel and the West. How about redirecting (giving ) it to Israel? (The ultimate irony) The left will say, "Why, that's stealing. It's theirs." If our feds can direct (or look the other way) an American bank (e.g. B of A) to do illegal stuff, they can probably direct the bank(s) that are holding Iran $ to "do something illegal". Since when did this administration worry about doing something illegal? They do it every day.. After all, as the left like to say, "It's for the greater good".

If we absolutely must borrow more money from China to give to various arms of the global military industrial complex, it should be on a war-by-war basis. If only to keep the accounting straight. But when was the last time US taxpayer money went to fund a war and it turned out good? What's that definition of insanity . . .?

Considering that Chuck Schumer runs the Senate like Pelosi ran the house, I find it strange that Democrats are holding up this aid to Israel. The Democrats could pass this bill with no Republican support. While claiming that Democrats support Israel’s right to defend itself, this is not how you do it. These delaying tactics are how you throw Israel under the bus. I hope people who support Israel are taking note.

Cranky little Zelenski is having another temper tantrum, demanding more money from Uncle Joey, and being all undemocratic as he rounds up and arrests opposition Party members. Dems never demanded an audit of how our monies were being spent, where the weaponry is. We know what the Israelis are doing with their warfighters. Come to think of it, most Repubs haven't demanded audits from Ukraine. Kinda stinks like dead fish.

Murder and Mayhem ,l This week the Ventura County Sheriff arrested Professor Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji in the death of Paul Kessler, a 69 year-old man who had been standing on the sidewalk peacefully supporting Israel. Alnaji, who bashed Kessler with a megaphone, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily injury and both these charges contain special allegations that Alnaji “personally inflictedgreat bodily injury.” This comes as no surprise to most of us who get their news online but it must have been news to those who read headers which said he died after falling and hitting his head on the sidewalk.

While many the world over had the integrity to condemn "the hideous crime, naming its perpetrators and acknowledging Israel's basic right to defend itself against the atrocity," the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches were unable to muster up such moral clarity. While the IDF goes out of its way to minimize civilian casualties, Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups do their utmost to maximize them — not only by indiscriminately murdering Israelis, but also by hiding among their own civilian population and using them as human shields, resulting in disproportionately high numbers of Palestinian casualties, caused -- deliberately -- by Hamas.

North Dakota’s 2021 legislative redistricting plan violates the rights of two Native American tribes because it dilutes their voting strength, a federal judge ruled Friday. U.S. District Chief Judge Peter Welte said the redrawn legislative districts violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The ruling came months after a trial held in June in Fargo. In his ruling, Welte said the plan approved by the state Legislature to redraw voting districts in accordance with the latest census data “prevents Native American voters from having an equal opportunity to elect candidates of their choice” - a violation of the landmark civil rights law.

Sadly, the Biden administration has yet to come out and publicly acknowledge Iran's role in Hamas's October 7 invasion of Israel, in which the terrorist group murdered over 1,400 Israelis and at least 31 Americans, and wounded over 4,500 Israelis. Hamas also abducted more than 240 people and took them back to Gaza, where they are being held as hostages. Iran provides roughly $100 million a year to Palestinian terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and $700 million a year to Hezbollah. Iran and its proxies have clearly been waging a war against Israel, Jews and the United States.

Sure, your daughter slings a mean pack of Do-si-dos, but how's her anti-KKK game? The Girls Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) aims to ensure it's badge-worthy. In case you're unfamiliar, "antiracism" isn't the mere absence of prejudice. Rather, it identifies people as oppressors or victims -- the former category being congenitally Caucasian. UCLA Law Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw puts it this way: “Antiracism is the active dismantling of systems, privileges, and everyday practices that reinforce and normalize the contemporary dimensions of white dominance. This, of course, also involves a critical understanding of the history of whiteness in America.”
