In a famous scene from Game of Thrones, Cersei Lannister is paraded naked down a street while people throw things at her and chant "shame, shame, shame."
While we haven’t quite reached that point yet, the madness on college campuses continues, and recently, a crowd of pro-Palestine demonstrators surrounded a Harvard student on campus and yes, yelled “shame, shame, shame” at him. The incident occurred on October 18, but video footage was only posted on Wednesday.
Watch: The student's crime? He was videotaping them. Which begs the question: Why do all these supposed tough guys (and girls) whine like bratty kids when someone exposes

The Democrats know they really should be killing Republicans in the polls right now, except they aren’t for reasons they seem unable to fully understand. I don’t mean that as an insult of their intelligence. It’s probably closer to the opposite actually. It takes a lot of brain power to create the kind of insulated partisan bubble that many progressive live in these days.
Pamela Paul has a new column for the Times in which she explores the ideas of John Judis and Ruy Teixeira, authors of a new book titled “Where Have All the Democrats Gone?” The gist is that Democrats just aren’t as appealing as they think they are.

Now you can call him “Sam Bankman-Fraud.”
A Manhattan federal jury has convicted Sam Bankman-Fried of stealing $10 billion from users of his crypto exchange and lying to lenders and investors — capping a fall from grace for an ex-billionaire who was once viewed as one of the crypto world’s brightest stars. The 31-year-old disgraced tech mogul was found guilty of all seven fraud and conspiracy charges stemming from a scheme to swipe money from users of his FTX exchange to pay off debts at his failing hedge fund Alameda Research and purchase lavish real estate.

The home of a top fundraiser for New York City Mayor Eric Adams was raided by the feds early Thursday morning as part of an investigation over an alleged kickback scheme involving the Turkish government and a Brooklyn construction company.
Federal agents burst into the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs, a campaign consultant and lobbyist — just as Adams abruptly bailed on a slate of White House immigration meetings to fly back to the Big Apple almost as soon as he had landed in Washington DC, The Post confirmed. The raid was connected to a broader public corruption probe by the feds looking into whether money was illegally funneled

JERUSALEM, Israel — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Friday morning to "reaffirm Texas' unwavering support." "There is a deep enduring bond between Texas and Israel, with the blessings of freedom and burdens of vigilance embedded in the histories of both our people," Abbott said in a news release Thursday. Abbott in his visit reaffirmed his belief in Israel's right to defend itself from Hamas terrorist attacks. He was joined on his trip by Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt.
"Unfortunately, never has freedom in Israel been more threatened than it is right now -- and the people of Israel are vigorously fighting to defend it,"

FBI agents searched the Crown Heights home Thursday of Brianna Suggs, a campaign consultant and top fundraiser linked to New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
The agents descended on the home on Lincoln Place in Brooklyn Thursday morning. The FBI declined to immediately comment on the reason, but acknowledged agents were at the address. Adams unexpectedly returned from Washington, D.C., to New York despite a day of planned meetings with White House officials and other big city mayors on immigration. His office said at the time the mayor was returning to "address a matter" but declined to elaborate.

US Intelligence has learned that the pro-Russian Wagner Mercenary Group may be supplying Hezbollah, the Lebanese Iran-backed terror organization, with an air defense system, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
US officials said that the White House is still yet to confirm if the SA-22 system, uses antiaircraft missiles and air defense guns to intercept aerial threats like aircraft and drones, the WSJ reported. The White House is concerned about this prospect and has been monitoring conversations between Wagner and Hezbollah, according to the report.

Two dozen top U.S. law firms have issued a stern warning that law schools move with “urgency” to address the rising antisemitism on campus, or else it could affect recruitment, National Review has learned.
“Over the last several weeks, we have been alarmed at reports of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism and assaults on college campuses, including rallies calling for the death of Jews and the elimination of the State of Israel. Such anti-Semitic activities would not be tolerated at any of our firms,” the statement published on Wednesday reads.
“As educators at institutions of higher learning, it is imperative that you provide your students with the tools and guidance to engage

Tramp cargo ships of murky registration love it when the world’s attention is focused on land-based conflicts. One looks very much like the other – ubiquitous rust buckets of the sea – floating serenely, aimlessly on ill-defined missions between ports. They also, being in such rough condition, could be expected to break down a lot…and so they seem to.
When no one’s looking, they’ll sometimes come to a stop over top of important things lying on the seabed beneath them. Like. for instance, the cables and pipelines that run communications, electricity, or natural gas between countries separated by seawater. In some cases, these are lifelines of one sort or another

PHOENIX -- The Texas Rangers spent seven months of this season terrorizing opponents with a menacing offense that feasted on home runs and hardly ever let up. The first night of November showcased the other aspects that make them dominant -- gritty starting pitching, sound defense and a lineup versatile enough to manufacture runs when needed. It sealed them a title.
The Rangers defeated the upstart, underdog Arizona Diamondbacks in front of a soldout Chase Field crowd, 5-0, in Game 5 of the World Series on Wednesday, clinching the first championship in the 63-year history of their franchise. Nathan Eovaldi continually weaved out of trouble, somehow matching a dominant Zac Gallen

America's infant mortality rate has risen for the first time in more than two decades, increasing significantly in southern and midwestern states.
Deaths among infants across the country increased from 19,928 in 2021 to 20,538 in 2022, representing a three percent rise, according to provisional figures from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Overall, the all-cause infant mortality rate of babies also increased by the same amount during this time, rising from 5.44 infant deaths per 1,000 births to 5.6 infant deaths per 1,000 births — the first year-over-year increase in the rate since 2001 to 2002. Rates of infant deaths increased the most among babies between

A federal jury in Missouri found a major group of realtors guilty of colluding to inflate real estate commissions and ordered the companies pay a little over $1.78 billion in damages, court filings show. Prominent real estate groups such as the National Association of Realtors (NAR); HomeService of America Inc.; BHH Affiliates, LLC and others were accused of being involved.
