“President Biden is the most pro-union president in history” has become the White House’s go-to response to the recent strike that had upturned American auto manufacturing.
“UAW victories may lift Biden,” the New York Times fantasized in the wake of the deals between the Big Three American automakers and striking auto workers — deals which are expected to result in large pay increases to workers over the next five years.
The White House took victory lap for “solving” a crisis that was Biden’s own making. At a press conference Monday, the president called the deal “yet another piece of good economic news showing something I’ve always believed.”

The 'adopted' black son of new House Speaker Mike Johnson has spoken out for the first time in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.
Michael Tirrell James said he would ‘probably be in prison’ were it not for Johnson – after he appeared in a Los Angeles court Wednesday on charges of running an illegal cannabis business and possessing brass knuckles.
James has never taken part in publicity for Johnson's political campaigns, and little has been known about the 40-year-old father of four.
But now DailyMail.com can reveal how the top GOP lawmaker and his wife Kelly informally adopted James after meeting him while doing charitable community work in Louisiana in the 1990s.

President Joe Biden has found a novel way to fight a dramatic rise in antisemitism since the Hamas terror attack on Israel October 7: putting Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of a new “national strategy on Islamophobia.”
The country has seen a near 400% rise in antisemitic incidents since the start of the war, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
In a video on Twitter/X, Harris said: “As a result of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we have seen an uptick in anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, antisemitic, and Islamophobic incidents across America.”

A top advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reportedly admitted that corruption is so rampant in the wartorn former Soviet state that officials are “stealing like there’s no tomorrow”.
Speaking anonymously to Time magazine, what is alleged to be a top presidential advisor to Zelensky said that the Ukrainian government’s efforts to stamp out corruption have proved fruitless, given that they were implemented too late to have any impact, including the firing of Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov. “People are stealing like there’s no tomorrow,” the top advisor is said

A legal effort to use the Constitution's "insurrection" clause to block former President Donald Trump from running for office in 2024 is becoming a more serious threat as hearings begin in two states over cases that could reach the highest court.
A weeklong hearing begins in Colorado on Monday over a lawsuit that cites the Civil War-era provision of the 14th Amendment that blocks those who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and later "engaged in insurrection" from holding higher office. Oral arguments over a similar question also start at the Minnesota Supreme Court on Thursday.

One of the textbook marketing flops of all time was the Ford Edsel sedan, which was heralded as the hot new car in the late 1950s. All the automotive experts and Ford executives said it was a can’t-miss. Henry Ford (the car was named after his son) guaranteed hundreds of thousands of sales.

But one big thing went wrong: Nobody ever bothered to ask car buyers what they thought of the new car. As it turned out, they hated it. So instead of sales of 400,000, Americans bought 10,000, and the model was embarrassingly discontinued.
The obvious lesson for the industry: You can’t bribe Americans to buy cars they don’t want.

In the epic exchange, Congresswoman Talib actually yelled at Ben, accusing him of “dehumanizing Palestinians” when asked, “Why do you support terrorists?” and whether or not she would denounce Iran’s proxy army, Hamas, waging war and invading Israel. She can then be heard yelling at her staffers, “I don’t even want to be here anymore!” Bergquam reports that the pro-defunding police radicals later called Capitol Police on him for asking her questions, but he was fully within his rights. “These guys are so not used to having media that actually holds them accountable,” Ben told his viewers

It’s a familiar trope: The agitated young “transgender” person claims that being “misgendered” left him or her “literally shaking.” I’ve always seen that as a sign of a tragically weak human being. However, last night, while watching Dinesh D’Souza’s Police State, I found myself literally shaking, too. Maybe I’m pathetically weak, or maybe that movie triggered such a strong “fight or flight” response in me that, sitting there in my seat, unable to react to either instinct, all I could do was tremble.
Why is the movie so powerful? Because using a combination of reenactments, interviews, news footage, police body cams, and individuals’ security cameras, D’Souza has compellingly put together

Veteran climate worrier Greta Thunberg announced Friday she has shifted her attention away from the world’s weather to focus on Israel’s fate as it fights Hamas and its associated terrorist organizations.
Thunberg took to social media and posted on X – formerly known as Twitter – to call a strike “in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.”
She also wants an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Thunberg’s call for peace and harmony in the Middle East comes three days after she was arrested in London during a protest against fossil fuels.

CVS began pulling popular over the counter cough and cold products from its shelves today because they don't work.
The pharmacy chain is removing oral meds that contain phenylephrine as their only active ingredient, which was shown to be no better than placebo at treating a stuffy nose.
The drugs are taken by millions of Americans and include brands like Benadryl Allergy Plus Congestion, Sudafed PE, and Tylenol Cold and Flu and Severe Day & Night.
It comes weeks after a panel of advisers to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruled phenylephrine 'is not effective' at standard or even high doses when taken in pill or liquid form.

As the war between Israel and Hamas intensifies, former President Barack Obama finally chose to break his silence on the hostilities. In a post on social media, he affirmed his support for Israel, condemned the killing of innocent civilians, and called for a lasting peace in the region.
While some might appreciate Obama’s sentiments, perhaps he is not the best vessel for a message about the evils of killing civilians given his drone record and financial support of Iran. On Monday, the former president wrote: All Americans should be horrified and outraged by the brazen terrorist attacks on Israel and the slaughter of innocent civilians.
