What Do We Know About Mike Johnson?

My assumption is that Mike Johnson (R-LA), who is currently running for the Speakership of the House, will also go down to defeat. Nevertheless, in the interests of being clear about what kind of politicians are unacceptable for the Speakership we should explore his positions. No surprises: Joey Mannarino @JoeyMannarinoUS Meet Mike Johnson - the fourth Speaker Designate for the House, receiving 127 votes from the GOP conference. Mike has a Liberty Score of 74%. He’s from the state of Louisiana and has served in Congress since 2017. His voting record is mostly solid. He was instrumental in getting the Texas Amicus Brief going in 2020 and voted AGAINST certifying the fraudulent 2020 election.

May our merciful God in heaven grant US the Speaker of the House we need to help restore our Constitutional Republic, and not the one we deserve.

Funny, reading the opening paragraph reminded me of the introductions for the contestants on the old beauty pageants. That's pretty much what American politics has become, except for Donald Trump. MAGA - TRUMP 2024

What a difference a day makes, folks. Rep. Johnson now as the gavel. How totally cool is that. Kind of a shame Rep. Gaetz didn't get it or didn't want it, but, yeah, I know, politics usually rules the roost. What a total opposite Rep. Johnson will be from that witch from SF and Kev as well. Kev, sorry about that, pal. But you had your chance after 15 ballots back in January and you still found a way to blow it, pal.

EXCLUSIVE: The FBI maintained more than 40 confidential human sources on various criminal matters related to the Biden family, including Joe Biden, dating back to his time as vice president, according to information obtained by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. The confidential human sources "provided criminal information to the FBI relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden." Those confidential human sources were managed by multiple FBI field offices across the nation, including the FBI’s Seattle Field Office. But Grassley learned that an FBI task force within the Washington Field Office sought to, and in some cases, successfully, shut down reporting and information from those sources by falsely discrediting

As noted by Politico in 2021, when asked about Donald Trump getting involved in midterm primaries, head of the National Republic Congressional Committee Tom Emmer told reporter Jacob Rubaskin, “He’s a private citizen, and he’s entitled to his own opinion.” “I would tell him that it’s probably better for us that we keep these people and we make sure that we have a majority that can be sustained going forward.” Emmer followed later in March saying Trump getting involved in the GOP congressional primaries was “not gonna be helpful.” Fast forward to 2023, Emmer is now the House Republican Whip and wants to be Speaker of the House.

We should all be aware of the domestic threat posed after several years of BLM alignment with various groups promoting Islamic Jihad. The extreme elements of the Palestinian movement have swelled in the U.S since 2009 and the introduction of sympathies for the Muslim Brotherhood. In addition to the preexisting threat, Customs and Border Patrol are also raising the alert for potential Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters to cross the U.S southern border as the influx of illegal aliens continues unabated by the Biden administration. Beyond providing more proof that President Biden directly profited from his family’s selling of influence, this new evidence — when read together with Americore’s bankruptcy filings — reveals Joe has the money that rightfully belongs to innocent creditors. When news broke yesterday that Israel had bombed Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, killing patients, children, and staff, every “anti-Zionist,” “critic of Israel,” and most big American journalism outfits ran with the horrible story. The tale incited worldwide condemnation and recrimination. But it wasn’t true. Israel did not hit the hospital. The Islamic Jihad did. Hundreds of people did not die. The missile landed in a parking lot. It was Hamas disinformation. The media’s disastrous failure on the Gaza hospital bombing story is one of the most vivid and instructive examples of the structural and inherent problems plaguing contemporary journalism. It mirrors many other fiascos of the past decade.

Israel has agreed to delay its impending ground invasion of Gaza until the U.S. can establish air defenses to protect U.S. troops throughout the region. The Pentagon has requested that Israel hold off until they can deploy nearly a dozen air-defense systems to the region, the Wall Street Journal first reported. The missile deployments, which are expected to be completed in the coming days, are intended to shield U.S. troops serving in Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from enemy rockets and missiles. The embarrassing impasse in the House of Representatives has finally ended, as Louisiana’s Mike Johnson has been elected Speaker. So, who is Mike Johnson, and why was he finally able to succeed where several more notable House members failed? I suspect that the answer has more to do with desperation than anything else. The Republican Party was made to look ridiculous, not so much by the party’s divisions as by the utter lack of party loyalty and discipline that was revealed by one failed vote after another. Most likely, Republicans coalesced behind Johnson–a little-known commodity, who has never been a committee chairman–to stop the bleeding.

At the time, GM and Honda said they expected to begin production of “millions” of these affordable EVs by 2027. “After studying this for a year, we decided that this would be difficult as a business, so at the moment, we are ending development of an affordable EV,”
