The fables about greenhouse gases, especially
about methane

Original Article

“Climate change” is in the news daily, with each featured story getting an attention-grabbing sensationalist headline. The frenzy is at its peak now because it’s the time of year for tropical storms and wildfires. However, to appreciate that these stories are pure narratives, it’s a good time to consider the facts behind the so-called “greenhouse gases.” Several atmospheric gases, including carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor, absorb light in the infrared region. These are collectively known as the “greenhouse gases” because absorbing infrared energy warms up the air—hence the name greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide, on a per-molecule basis, is six times as effective an absorber as water is.

Comments:

It's actually caused by the termites. Termites put out more CO2 than all burning of coal, oil and nat gas.
And the overwhelming majority of methane comes from wetlands...NOT from cow farts. And if you want to worry about ruminants - gotta kill all of them running wild in Australia - since there are far more feral beasts than domestic.

Of course reality and true science is ignored. But that is because at the heart of Green imperatives is the goal for Gaia to be less encumbered by human beings - fewer of us is their real desire. Now I get that the sins of Adam and Eve (and our sins, too) have resulted in ALL of creation being broken but having fewer of us will not reverse that reality.

This old world survived millions of years of methaney dinosaurs. It was humming along just fine with all the mastodon herds and later buffalo and all those wildebeests in Africa. Plus all the other grass eaters I can’t even name. What’s going to kill everything are these stupid leftist bed-wetters and their absolutely ludicrous ideas about life and this planet. The hysterical, narrow visioned articles they have to publish to keep those grant dollars coming in is nauseating.

Re #2, IIRC the actual biomass of termites outweighs most other species. And they live literally everywhere, underground. If we needed to exterminate them for some ACTUAL reason, I think we'd probably fail. And on top of that, we'd probably actually wreck the ecosystems of the planet if we were stupid enough to try. Leave things alone. They are just fine. Humans contribute about 1/25th of the CO2 that enters the atmosphere each year, the rest from termites, volcanoes, etc. Things we absolutely cannot control. Human activities have no affect on the global climate. It's a scam.

Ummm - - let's see - - Gullible Warming was supposed to dry up the planet - - and cause all species to be exterminated due to dehydration - - and yet - - at the same time - - wetlands are expanding - - but - - maybe these are dry wetlands - - not the really wet kind - - and these newly evil wetlands once caused "environmentalists" to swoon with joy - - while we're also told that Gullible Warming causes both floods and droughts at the same time. Oh - - oh - - OK - - now I get it!

I find it interesting that these "scientists" think that humans and cattle are the only beings that phart. Anyone who has a dog (or a cat) knows that they pass gas as bed or sometimes worse than humans!! And what about deer, bison, squirrels, birds, fish, etc. ALL wildlife passes gas! And all of it contributes to the environment. It's far past time to get real with this hoax!!

And don't forget, rising CO2 levels are a LAGGING indicator of warming. Meaning things warm up first, then CO2 levels rise. So tell me again how it's the CO2 levels that CAUSE warming? How does that work? Plus humans are only responsible for a teeny-tiny part of the overall CO2 floating around.

Why is it easier to find lies in the media about “climate change” than truthful information? Why is honest reporting on the environment an outlier instead of a rule? Media parrots have said for decades that humans, and our use of natural resources are killing the planet, and that oceans, species, and forests are dying. They report on future predictions, but rarely on scientific facts—so I thought I would fill the vacuum. We have been told that we are responsible for irredeemable destruction in the Great Barrier Reef, but that is not true. The reef is making a “comeback,” yet we don’t see that story

It was once a commonsense belief and universal truth that men and women, boys and girls, are different, especially in the realm of athletics. With rare exceptions, men and women compete in their own categories, from high school level through college to the Olympic games and professional sports. Mixed competitions place women and men on the same team, such as mixed doubles in tennis, or dancing, either in the ballroom, or on ice. Equestrian sports are an exception, but the fact that a horse is a major part of the sport reduces the sex difference between competitors.

Should our government decide “our democracy” is in imminent danger and it’s necessary to suppress dangerous insurrectionists like Catholics and soccer moms, would America’s federal, state and local police play along? It has long been common knowledge Federal agencies have been stockpiling enormous quantities of mil-spec arms, ammunition and other gear. Agencies like the Railroad Retirement Board, Department of Education and Fish and Wildlife Service have automatic weapon-armed SWAT teams. Apparently, railroad retirees, federal education grant applicants and Trout are a greater threat to “our democracy” than anyone imagined. Let’s evaluate the real potential threat:

Presidential candidate Nikki Haley, like most of us, doesn’t like chaos. She’d prefer that America be an orderly, law-abiding, harmonious nation. Unfortunately, that is no longer the America in which we live. But in her condemnation of “chaos,” Haley confuses correlation with causation, and is using our current turmoil to attack Donald Trump. At a campaign stop in Bluffton, South Carolina, she said: I agree with a lot of his policies, but the truth is, rightly or wrongly, chaos follows him (Trump). We have too much division in this country, and too many threats around the world to be sitting in chaos once again.

We often hear the phrase, 'Israeli-Palestinian conflict' everywhere - in the media, from Israeli officials, written in articles, repeated by foreign policy think tanks, and U.S. politicians. It is ubiquitous. They are all incorrect. A 'conflict' indicates two equal sides laying credible claim over a disputed issue. Thus, the false phrase equates Jews with terrorists and terrorist supporters. And, the incorrect saying plays into revisionist history in an antisemitic fashion. Terrorists and their supporters claim that Israel 'stole' 'Palestine.' But 'Palestine' was nothing more than a colonizer's term for Judea from 136 A.D. - to when Jews liberated Israel in 1948 from British occupiers.

I neither like nor respect him. However, in the “credit where credit is due” department, Blinken deserves props for saying something important: Namely, that a world that insistently demands that Israel surrender in this war does not make any such demands on Hamas. [snip] Despite this, he says that all calls for a ceasefire are directed at Israel alone. No one in the world asks Hamas to stop fighting or to stop engaging in genocidal attacks against Israel:

It’s impossible for me to give a simple answer if I can dream up a more complicated one. So bear with me. I think determination of whether a movie fits the Christmas genre depends on more than its musical score and the timing of its release. The plot has to include certain critical elements common to all Christmas movies.
