US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Friday on Israel to limit Palestinian civilian deaths as he worked to set up safe areas in the Gaza Strip, seeking to keep calm in the Arab world following a major Hamas attack. After a solidarity visit to Tel Aviv, Blinken, on a six-nation tour of the Arab world, again defended Israel's right to respond but also stepped up the tone on protecting innocent Palestinians. "We have urged the Israelis to use every possible precaution to avoid harm to civilians," Blinken told a news conference in Qatar. "We recognise many Palestinian families in Gaza are suffering through no fault of their own

I doubt you could find a non-partisan civilian in Gaza. They've been cheering and dancing in the streets after the initial slaughter of Israelis, now they'll claim they were against it. But they're muzzies, it's OK to lie to unbelievers and they're cowards. I have no sympathy for any of them.

How touching, Blinkie. I am sure the IDF will make an effort to spare civilians who refused to leave. But look, Egypt, like it or not, will have to take in the Gazans long enough to give the IDF enough time to scrub the Gaza strip clean of tunnels, munitions, missiles, booby traps, and anything else that is not in their best interests to remain.

The term "existential threat" hss been bandied about so much lately that it's lost all meaning...but here we have Israel facing an ACTUAL existential threat, much as did England and much of Europe during WW2. I have to wonder how things would have turned out for western civilization had groups protesting against the bombing of population centers in Japan and Europe prevailed against men like"Bomber" Harris and Curtis Lemay. Dresden, Cologne, Hiroshima, Tokyo, et al. were not spared...but the western world was saved..for a time.

Rockets and missiles raining down in Palestine. Hamas and Palestinians are dead on the street and they're protesting the atrocities. The worst is not over, and more will die. It's the nature of WAR. So, every Palestinian and its sympathizing protestors in the world should come to Palestine to support and fight for their cause. The IDF said Tuesday that a hospital blast which reportedly claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians earlier in the day was caused by a misfired rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a terrorist group operating within the Gaza Strip. “According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the PIJ organization is responsible for the failed [rocket] fire that hit the hospital,” the IDF said in a statement. According to the Israeli military’s analysis of “operational systems, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed in the vicinity of the hospital, when it was hit,” the statement added.

Palestinian officials say hundreds are likely dead after suspected Israeli airstrikes on a Gaza hospital, as humanitarian concerns mount over Israel’s ongoing deprivation of food, fuel and electricity to the enclave’s population. Many victims are still under the rubble, it added. The Israel Defense Forces are looking the hospital attack, spokesperson Daniel Hagari said, adding that it was unclear if the cause was an IDF strike or a failed Hamas launch.
