Biden administration on Friday unveiled the most restrictive offshore oil and gas five-year leasing program in history.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced the plan, which allows for three offshore oil and gas lease sales through 2029, with sales in 2025, 2027 and 2029. That schedule represents the lowest number of sales that the administration could have pursued while maintaining its ability to push offshore wind development under provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and it is the “smallest number of oil and gas lease sales in history,” according to Interior Secretary Deb Haaland.

This sob is killing our country, making us depend on foreign oil which he gets a kickback on. Every one of the companies he and his crackhead son had deals with are energy co.. So he starves our own oil industry while profits for foreign oil sky rocket, along with his many hidden bank accounts. He is a traitor destroying our country and our people. The UAW better wake up too, because his agenda for EVS while make them lose thousands of jobs. He deserves more than prison.

They say it is for climate change.
The US drills more cleanly than most other nations, but we stop our drilling and beg other countries like Venezuela to increase their drilling. A net increase in pollution, all under the banner of climate change.

If you've screwed things up this bad, you might as well keep going, right? Numbnuts has all but killed our energy sector, so he might as well finish the job.

Hmmm, reduce Inflation by restricting supply... that, uh, must work, yeah.
Biden must have Al Gore, Robert Reich and Enron's financial advisor, Paul Krugman, all helping with WH economic policy. Yep, the "Big Guy" is definitely in good hands. /s

Don't be distracted by the pinhead puppet. It's the commies behind the scenes pulling his strings that are the danger. Still think we can avoid playing Cowboys and Commies?

We will NOT be driving EVs. Common sense, physics and millions of very angry Americans will see to it. Joe is a puppet with a head made of dead wood. Let's start rooting out the "termites" in the wood pile.

while the rest of the world is building onver 1000 new coal fired electricity generating plants.
BTW a coal fired plant in Kansas was to be retired but won't because the electricity is needed to support an EV battery plant.
You just can't make this stuff up.

The ultimate hypocrisy of severely restricting oil and gas leases is that it justified by the inflation reduction act. By doing everything possible to reduce the supply of fossil fuels, it inflates the cost of this energy. Since wind and solar will take decades to develop enough infrastructure to replace fossil fuels, we need the fossil fuels until that infrastructure comes into existence decades from. And, since wind and solar unreliable sources (the sun does not always shine and the wind does not always blow) we will still need fossil fuels to provide backup energy when wind and solar cannot.
Compounding the problem is forcing a switch from fossil fuels to electrical energy for cooking heating and transportation. The electrical power grid is already under stress resulting in power outages now. If cooking, heating and transportation (EVs) are switched to electrical energy, the demand for electrical will increase exceeding the capacity of the electrical grid. This will take decades to accomplish. Trying to do it in a few years will create hyperinflation trying to meet the rapidly increased demand.

How much would you like to bet that this has Obama's fingerprints all over it? I believe Biden is Obama's vessel and fall guy. Obama's doing this all through Biden because he didn't think he'd get away with it when he was president.
The way things are going Biden will hopefully last only a little bit longer. Unfortunately, we'd then have Kamala.

Products made from crude oil.
I guess we should get used to not having these products
No more phones, computers, cars, electricity, wind mills solar power, food, shelter. Roads. You can Google practically anything and you will see that crude oil is used in one way or another. We might as well not allow us to use fire while we are at it. And don’t even think about inventing the wheel. I am getting a headache just thinking about it. I can’t take an aspirin because it too is made from crude oil. Climate change happens normally.
For 50 years we have blamed us. The solution agreed upon has done more damage than the so called problem itself. If we are in danger, it is to late to do anything about it so let us enjoy a comfortable life in the few years we have left,
