Cornell University canceled Friday classes after New York State Police arrested a 21-year-old junior at the school who is alleged to have posted threats of murder and rape against Jewish classmates on an anonymous online message board.

FBI agents searched the Crown Heights home Thursday of Brianna Suggs, a campaign consultant and top fundraiser linked to New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
The agents descended on the home on Lincoln Place in Brooklyn Thursday morning. The FBI declined to immediately comment on the reason, but acknowledged agents were at the address. Adams unexpectedly returned from Washington, D.C., to New York despite a day of planned meetings with White House officials and other big city mayors on immigration. His office said at the time the mayor was returning to "address a matter" but declined to elaborate.

America's infant mortality rate has risen for the first time in more than two decades, increasing significantly in southern and midwestern states.
Deaths among infants across the country increased from 19,928 in 2021 to 20,538 in 2022, representing a three percent rise, according to provisional figures from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). A Connecticut judge was forced to throw out the results of a Democrat mayoral primary after surveillance videos showed possible ballot stuffing that a local judge said rendered the court "unable to determine the legitimate result." This week, Superior Court Judge William Clark ordered a new Democratic primary due to the misconduct. He claimed that the number of tampered ballots found changed the results of the original election, according to NBC Connecticut.
“The volume of ballots so mishandled is such that it calls the result of the primary election into serious doubt and leaves the court unable to determine the legitimate result of the primary,” Clark wrote
