Fox News Channel announced Monday that Sean Hannity will moderate a “red state vs. blue state” debate between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Hannity asked the two governors about debating each other and both agreed earlier this year. The debate will take place on November 30 in Georgia, with the venue to be announced. It will air in Hannity’s time slot that night. The debate will be 90 minutes.
The two governors have a contentious relationship, to understate the relationship. Newsom began attacking DeSantis even before DeSantis entered the Republican presidential primary. So, Hannity challenged the two to a debate.

DeSantis will wipe the floor with Governor Surfer Boy after many, many obviously uneducated statements / answers on any subject, Newsom will wilt like melted butter

Let’s hope Hannity introduces them then stays out of the debate. We don’t need it to be about Hannity.

Let’s drop this Red team Blue team nonsense. Or flip the colors every four years. We are not sports teams. Besides the Conservative party is suppose to be the blue color and the left of center party is red. That’s how they do it in most European countries.

Hannity what a piece of work. I can't stand that guy, he's got to be the controlled opposition to the rest of us.

I would actually watch this, just to watch Newsom go down in flames. Governor DeSantis should do well in this, and he could use a win. Just be yourself, Ron, and DO NOT take any advice from Karl Rove, et al.

Everything is on a Murdoch platform, because he wants to get rid of Trump. Fox has become a political activist network, no different than CNN.

Motor mouth Hannity will do all the talking. Maybe a candidate or two can get a word in edgewise. Hannity is at least as smart as Mr. Know It All! Thanks for the warning.

I can not believe Gavin Newsom would ever agree to this. Sometime between now and November 30 Newsom will come up with an excuse to not be able to debate.

I don't know why DeSantis would agree to this debate, Newsom is not running for president. Yes DeSantis is definitely smarter than Newsom but Newsom has a way of winning people over and DeSantis lacks natural charm. I don't think this is a good idea.

Groan. Gasbag Hannity has also been invited to the balloon races in Albuquerque, New Mexico this year to fill up several of the balloons in order to cut back on the use of propane by the balloon contestants. Of course there is always the chance that due to the huge size of his head, he might be mistaken for one of the balloons. Pompous, arrogant, and at heart a worthless shill for Fox and the Deep State Rhinos. Worst interviewer ever.

this is DeSantis' chance to show he has 'fight' and the killer instinct. he certainly has enough factual ammo to nail Gruesome on. this could revive him and rescue him from the Casper Milquetoast category.

I wonder how many times Hannity will interrupt DeSantis and Hairgel during their debate. Haven't watched Fox News since they fired Tucker Carlson. I guess the first question should be, "Why is the governor of the failed state of California debating the governor of a prospering state like Florida?"

I can see this now. Hannity will interrupt and talk about his 10th degree Black belt in Brooklyn Street fighting. Gavin Nuisance will try to be slick because he can't talk about the real problems going on in the country because as the failed governor of our most populous state, he's part of the problem. Finally, DeSantis will talk about his marvelous record as governor of our 3rd most populous state but his lack of charisma will make him seem flat up against the Breck Girl's slickness. It will be like Kennedy versus Nixon with Ted Baxter moderating.
