As previously reported, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and some of her staffers set out on a 4-day electric vehicle road trip through the Southeast this summer.
They traveled from North Carolina to Tennessee to tout the Biden Regime’s commitment to funding electric vehicles that virtually no one wants (or can afford).
According to a reporter embedded in the Energy Department’s EV caravan, the entourage had trouble charging the vehicles.
The best part of the road trip? A family called the police on an Energy Department staffer who was so desperate to reserve a charging plug for Jennifer Granholm’s EV that he blocked the charging station

This little road trip defines the Biden administration in so many ways. Entitled, arrogant, stupid, hate-America-first and just plain wrong. Less than one percent of the driving public are using EVs and the charging stations are not up to the task of keeping things moving. Ready to give up the Green Pipe Dream yet?

This administration's energy policy is to stop drilling here, beg other countries to drill more, and shove expensive EVs down our throats while banning gas powered vehicles. If it pushes millions into poverty, so be it.

Typical entitled liberal, in this case a governmental liberal with staff to run interference for her.

I keep saying it. Keep women out of govt. Every place in trouble has a female in charge. By the way, I'm female.

Jennifer Granholm’s What I Did on Summer Vacation: I hauled my big fat white privilege around the southeast hogging resources and pretending to have a great time. Everyone remarked that I must have had great fun, being Secretary of Energy, and all that goes with it. I especially liked having the paid staff who traveled around with me, for blocking charging stations and getting the reporters to the restaurants, etc., etc.

I want to see Bidets motorcade, including the 'beast', converted to all electric vehicles. He/they need to put their money where their mouths are!

Don't you know who I am?!? The power of privilege and the EV is the symbol. EVs have a long way to go before they are practical, and they may never get there. it will be interesting to see where the EV is in 10 years.

She is Canadian after all, and learned how to be a dictator at the feet of her hero, Pierre Trudeau.

I keep hearing about the phone call but not what happened when the police arrived. That’s the real story.

So now, instead of putting "Boom!" in the headline to highlight their "bombshell" reporting, GWP has swapped that out for a drug-related expression from the '70s, "Bogart," used a a verb instead of a proper noun, to indicate hogging the reefer and not sharing, or in this case hogging the EV charging station and not sharing. How progressive of them to be so hip.

Jenny picked the wrong place to charge up. She shoulda found a Buc-cees. The one I pass all the time has maybe 20 or 30 Tesla charging stations, and at best only three or four are occupied.
Heck last night, I happened to drive past the local electric coop in my town. As far as I know, it's the only public EV charging station in my town (the Buccees is in the next town) and for the first time ever, I saw someone using it! For months, they had an out-of-order sign on it.
BTW, the cost of the EV charging in many areas is about the same as buying gas.

Thanking Granholm for showing everyone how ridiculous the EV push is. That was her purpose, right?

"Road trip" stunt to prove how wonderful EVs are proves that it takes 4 days to drive from North Carolina to Tennessee by EV. Interestingly, I have hiked from NC to Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains in minutes, so while this may have been a longer distance than my hike.....it is NOT a "four day trip" in any sort of a normal car.
And many gasoline powered "support vehicles" were needed to scout out and "hold" (causing this police call) one of the few, slow charging stations.
As horrible as the cost, weight and range limitations of EVs are, it is the charging time that is the absolutely immovable boulder laying in the way of convenient use of EVs.....they WASTE YOUR TIME, and time is the one thing that you CANNOT get more of, no matter how rich you are.
Hard, immutable fact: Chemical batteries are at least 100 times less energy dense than gasoline engines and fuel tanks. What exactly is "energy density"? It is the amount of miles traveled that can be stored in a certain volume and weight of storage in a vehicle. About 100 times worse than a fuel tank.
And the absolute crushing capstone on the whole EV mess is that they will NEVER charge up a battery as quickly as you can refill a fuel tank with a liquid that is unpressurized at room temperatures.
Wasting people's irretrievable TIME is the ultimate killer of these vehicles.

#13 - One problem. The vehicles the entourage is traveling in are a union-built Ford, Chevy, and Cadillac. (That there are no Teslas is not an oversight on the administration's part.) All those Tesla chargers at Buc-ees are probably not compatible.
#2 - Millions into poverty while a privileged few (the usual crowd) get even richer.
