The number of missing people in Maui has increased by 250 to 1,100 two weeks after deadly fires ravaged the island and left more than 115 people dead. The fires were the deadliest to hit the United States in a century and search and rescue efforts have been slow. Few of the dead have been publicly identified and crews have scoured the destruction to locate the missing. There is fear that as missing people are found, it will cause the death toll to rise further. The tourist town of Lahaina, home to 12,000 people, was all but wiped off the

I would think this list could have been compiled in a week at most! More utter incompetence by all involved!

I hope the Forming a Banana Institution didn’t have to pull any staff off of Operation Get Orange Man for Big Bidet’s toaster fire of little concern.

Why is the media giving vacation Obiden a pass on this? Why is the Hawaiian government being given a pass on this? How much $ do the child slavers pay for Hawaiian children? Satan’s works on full display.

This is a shell game. They’ve filled over 400 body bags and ordered about 500 more. They don’t count the people in body bags as “dead” because they can’t identify them. It’s been two weeks since the fire. If someone is missing and hasn’t shown up yet, they’re dead. Period.
It’s time to hold the Democrat administrators in Maui accountable.

Many of the missing (dead) were children home alone because schools were closed that day. When (or if) the news ever gets out, it will cause a firestorm. I suspect the governments involved are waiting for some other calamity to happen before they try to slide the news out under the radar.

As the scope of this disaster becomes more widely known, those paying attention see the causes at all levels of the state's Dem administration. The media are circling the wagons to protect their own.

Perhaps FBI death squads have amassed a long list of people whose disappearance needs to be laundered. Look for Robert L. Peters, Robin Ware and JRB Ware to be among the missing.

Exactly #1, why the FBI. My guess is that there is a coverup being perpetrated and who better than the corrupt FBI.

No problem for Joe, since he still has his Corvette. Though not the boxes of classified documents which were sitting beside it in the garage.

Over a thousand people killed? That news may be unbearably shocking and emotionally eviscerating for most people but why would our lickspittle bird-brained wholly-owned Pravda-like media report that? Because to be consistent it seems that the new standard of tragic loss for their criminal syndicate is whether or not anyone almost lost a ‘67 Corvette. Or some kitchen cabinets.
But to roughly quote Pres. Montgomery Burns in Maui, “All joking aside. Let’s talk about me. I met a bad dude name of Cornpone. And he was me. Or he had the same leg hair. Oh, what am I talking about…yeah, thanks dude! Fire. That’s what it is. You know, the thing. And it’s hot. As hot as a Delaware beach in July. So I went to Lake Tahoe. And it’s near the Ponderosa where my dad, we called him “Paw” back then, he taught me to ride and lasso a steer. And I lassoed a beauty of a filly, too. I’m Dr. Jill’s husband Joe. Get it? Because the joke is that everyone knows her but not me! It always crack’s ‘em up at DeeDee’s Diner in Corncob, Delawsre! Come on up here Jill! Let them see you! Oh. God love ya! It’s my brother Jim! I got turned around!
Hey! Who’s doing the heckling? Is it you? You smell terrible! Like you’ve just come in from a weeklong camping trip! You’re full of crap! Come here, Smokey. I could take you. You wanna do some push ups? Meet under the bleachers?”

I'm still wondering about that "firefighter" who was reported around 8am to have gone over to a small brush fire, which was later declared 100% contained by 9am.
Which engine company put out that fire, and which firefighters put out that brush fire?
The cynic in my wonders - were they actual firefighters?
Why is this important? It was later reported by the same people who had video of the 8am smoke/fire, that the blaze started back around 3pm.
So, how did it re-start?
People reported power out at around 6am, and cell service was down hours after that.

I just did a search of the federal agencies involved with Katrina. The list showed different aspects of the recovery, but in every instance only FEMA was the agency involved. What is the difference?

Re: Reply 10: Underreported?: Where are the 650 children of King Kamehameha Elementary School? See American Thinker.
Are 650 of the 1000+ missing, children?
"Residents of the scarred island told me that everything on the news is a lie. The mayor of Maui, Richard Bissen, said that 850 people are still missing. The same day the governor said 1,100 are missing. If they actually know how many are missing, then they must know who is not. Where are the children of Lahaina?"

Seems that many of the missing are those government bureaucrats currently hiding out to escape answering for their responsibility in this disaster. Where are the Water Company people who worried more about "water equity" than putting out a wildfire? Where are the fire and police people who seemed to have done nothing? How about those who decided that it was a good idea to block the only highway out of town? Where are the emergency services people who could have sent out some kind of warning to the residents? Government failures caused this disaster and the deaths. Now those responsible are awol while those who were abandoned are left to wonder where their loved ones are and if they are alive.
