Donald Trump's interview with Tucker Carlson reached over 150 million viewers early Thursday morning, giving his bid to steal the spotlight from Fox News' Republican presidential debate a huge boost and earning praise from the ex-president - who calls it a 'BLOCKBUSTER.'
The former president's 45-minute sit-down on X, formerly known as Twitter, aired as his GOP rivals bickered on stage in a crucial night for the 2024 White House race.
The viewing figures are almost certain to eclipse the number of Americans who tuned into Fox to watch Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy and the rest of the GOP field go to battle to try and close the gap with the frontrunner.

I was talking to my brother and he predicted the numbers for Tucker and Trump would blow away the TV numbers. Boy was he right!!

I tried to find it somewhere other than twitter, and I was unable to. So I watched Family Guy instead. I had a twitter account for a few weeks years ago and found it to be the stupidest waste of time I'd ever experienced. So I closed out the account and never looked back.

America's first "President-in-Exile". We may need to march on Washington or Atlanta to jail-break him and re-install him.

I wonder if Big Bidet will go visit Trump in jail like he did Nelson Mandela? You know he had a toaster fire once, just like the Great Fire of Chicago. I don't believe Big Bidet is in reality all the time. No wonder what's going on hardly seems like it could possibly be real.

Trump never claimed that "savage animals are trying to kill him," but what's the use?

I know, #6, it’s a losing battle with any British press fairly and honestly reporting anything about Trump.

I logged into X and Trump twice last night for about a minute each time. Same old Trump, but I now count as two viewers by Twitter/X standards.

Within the context of another American civil war and possible assassination of a former POTUS, television and social media "ratings" ought not even be in the discussion.

Nothing New. Just the same old pride in America, success and prosperity that we enjoyed for four years before the Biden crash.

#11, 14 take 2 minutes out of a 46 minute interview and blow it off as old news! LOL, just say you hate him, that you know everything and tell us who SHOULD be the President. DO it, you will feel better and at least once you would be honest.
We need to be thoughtful, curious, relentless and IF we opine about serious matters, be honest and clear about what we believe, instead of the usual catcalling, gaslighting and outright lying.

I learned some new things from the Trump interview, like China's involvement in the Panama Canal and the "training center" it is building in Cuba. No one else is talking about this--certainly not China Joe. It was a good interview--mostly Trump talking. And Trump never said anyone was going to kill him. Tucker asked him if he was worried about someone killing him and Trump didn't directly respond.

150 Million? No way, that’s half of all Americans! The numbers are consistently manipulated. For instance if a viewer signs on for one second, that’s a viewer, and if he returns for a second, that’s a viewer.

Just wondering if the people who are skeptical of the viewer numbers are insinuating that Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson are now doing what they were critical of in the 2020 election? Cooking the numbers? Doing what the Democrats do?
Why would they want to do that? They want to know they have done things by honest means. It actually means more when you know you have won honestly. . .

No one is accusing Carlson and Trump of manipulating viewer numbers. They don’t run Twitter. What people are noting is that it is unlikely that 100 or 200 million people watched the 45 minute interview. It can’t be denied that the interview was viewed by millions. Tucker was hardly hard hitting but Trump came across as a smart, competent and self-assured man. I hope that many who watched were fence sitters who could see that what the media report mostly lies.

Watched it instead of the Keebler Elves show. Very good, interesting. It occurs to me that world history is not taught in high school or college. Does no one see how the Trump persecution follows the Bolshevik revolution? Read “Gentleman in Moscow “. Great book. The Marxist’s are on the move. Our country is in big trouble. So many eerie similarities. Pray daily for as long as we’re allowed.

Watching the video for a few seconds counts as a "view" so it's hardly an apples-to-apples comparison. The whole counterprogramming thing is stupid, anyway. We all stream nowadays, and the Twitter release hardly needs to be watched live, so trying to keep people from watching the debate is a silly idea. I'm all for Trump doing a long interview with Tucker, but there's no reason to avoid the debate except cowardice that it would weaken his frontrunner status.

None o' ya'll know Jack Shinola about how the hits are tabulated on either Twitter OR Fox. You just repeat whatever fits how you want to opine. The point is, odds are high that a helluva lot more eyes were on Trump's interview than on the also-rans.
