We all called for the President last week. Where was he, days after the apocalyptic Maui wildfires? Actually, we knew where he was: On the beach at his shore home in Delaware. Prepping for his next vacation in Lake Tahoe. Issuing a reptilian ‘no comment’ when asked about the thousand-plus people missing and the Pompeii-like damage and what his plan was. When was he going to visit? For what it’s worth, I wrote an impassioned column imploring the president to go. Now I take it all back. The people of Maui have suffered enough. Joe Biden finally saw fit to interrupt his second vacation

FJB certainly did not have to go to Maui. His handlers were shamed and ordered him to go. Hawaii is a cinch win for Democrats in 2024 no matter how badly this fire disaster was mismanaged. The press talks about Biden getting the finger from crowds along the way. This is a misinterpretation. Hawaiian crowds are saying "... you're number one, Joe, you've got our votes, we're loyal Democrats."

I'm not gonna joe give joe a walk on this impossible-to-believe episode just because he's a vegetable -- he did what he did and needs to at least accept some degree of responsibility for it. But that pile of compost between his ears is irresistible for those inclined to manipulate what there is of his mind to the detriment of all of us, as well as the future of our Republic. I almost regret saying it but Barack Obama, with all of his lavish, taxpayer-funded vacations, accompanied by every hanger-on and their friends and relatives, was a hard worker compared to Joe and his family of drug-addicted pikers, sexual deviants, crooks and misfits. AF1 and AF2 are still government taxis and Barack trained Joe well to be his obedient errand boy. The people who chose either one of them to lead this country got even worse than they expected.

Let’s not forget that it took 0bama two months to show up on the Gulf Coast after the deep water oil spill in 2009. A historic moment happened during the Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday when none other than Oliver Anthony’s working-class anthem “Rich Men North of Richmond” formed the basis for the first question. “Why is this song striking such a nerve in this country right now? What do you think it means?” the Fox debate moderators asked. (X Video) The fact that Oliver Anthony’s viral song would form the basis for a question at the GOP presidential debate just illustrates how strongly it has resonated among the working class. Hawaii Democrat Governor Josh Green took to “Face the Nation” Sunday to agree with host Margaret Brennan’s assertion that climate change “amplified” Maui’s horrific wildfires.
