Florida District Judge Aileen Cannon denied a DOJ request to keep evidence sealed in the Mar-a-Lago documents case against President Donald J Trump. Additionally, Cannon has demanded that Special Counsel Jack Smith explain why he is using an out of district grand jury to construct additional charges against the defendant. Ron DeSantis stated that the 2020 election was poorly run, but we had mass mail-in balloting because “Trump turned the government over to Fauci, they embraced lockdowns, they did the CARES Act, which funded mail-in ballots across the country. Donald Trump signed that bill that funded the mail ballots that all the Republicans have been so concerned about.” And that the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story “was Donald Trump’s FBI that was working with that.”
In a third major reshuffling, 2024 hopeful Ron Desantis has replaced his campaign manager Generra Peck amid a lukewarm campaign performance and threats by donors to cut off funding.
James Uthmeier, who served as chief of staff in Mr. DeSantis’ governor’s office, will be taking over, according to the announcement Tuesday. Ms. Peck will handle the duties of chief strategist moving forward.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, considered a rising star among Texas Democrats, will temporarily leave her post leading the state’s most populous county to receive treatment for clinical depression, she announced Monday.
