President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, reportedly bit or attacked Secret Service agents as many as 10 times between the months of October 2022 and January 2023.
One incident involving the dog reportedly required a hospital visit for the Secret Service agent, according to records from the Department of Homeland Security that were released following a FOIA request by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch. Per the Associated Press:
On Nov. 3, 2022, a Secret Service official emailed colleagues that Commander had bitten a uniformed officer twice — on the upper right arm and thigh.

Jill, there are many things that need to be done, pronto. Can you set aside your photo-ops and magazine interviews?

Named commander because he has a similar intellect as the commander and chief, albeit a little smarter, and both are sniffers.

Definitely needs to be put down right away, and then we can decide what to do with the dog.

I think the dog is doing his job. It's to protect the big guy from people who might want to hurt him. Maybe he senses the secret service folks are not fond of his master.

He had 2 dogs but only the younger 1 bites so unlikely the dog is abused. Much more likely he was never trained. Dog training requires patience and consistency, two things an Alzheimer's patient can't provide. Joe was in better condition mentally for the first dog so that one is ok.

Joe never discussed getting the dogs with Dr. Jill. She did fly with him on AF1, Marine 1 and in the 39 car Presidential caravan to the breeder’s but they never discussed getting a dog. We know that because Joe explicitly said that Dr. Jill asked him what he thought about getting a German Shepherd which proves he knew nothing about getting a dog.

Once again imagine this was Trump’s dog. Further to this you can see the master reflected in the dog. A socialist schoolteacher on our block got a male Lab mix and he drags her down the sidewalk and barks wildly at everything that moves. The undisciplined product of an undisciplined mind.

GSD's do not take to being handled by multiple people. No doubt, everyone else is caring for the dog because they have to and the dog is picking this up.

#6, he only has one dog. HIs previous dog, Major, was also a biter. In my opinion, these dogs have not been trained by their neglectful owners.

I am not going to defend a biting dog- I have one- a snarky Cairn Terrier.. 16 pounds of bipolar crazy. She has been mine since 8 weeks old.. sis all the puppy training- etc-
But- she has possession aggression- and is very very sensitive around her eyes.. so- she will bite.. and she is viscous when triggered. I have come to a agreement with her- and we get along fine..
But!! I won’t rehome her, and do not let small children around her..I protect the dog and others.
Commander is a large dog, ill behaved and a threat..
He needs to be sent to a trainer to live. I feel sorry for dogs that are focus group idea -

I love GSDs but they need to be trained, they need to know who is the alpha and they need something to do. Having an owner who is not all there, and being fobbed off onto a Secret Service Agent who probably doesn't know how to handle the dog will result in biting and other bad behavior. If Biden must have a dog, I suggest a small one with a calm disposition. A co-worker has a Bichon mix who is a very friendly, and laid back dog. That's what Biden should have. Of course, he'd think it wasn't macho enough.

Two in a row pretty well establishes what we thought when Major did it, its not the dog. That doesn't mean they, whomever they is, picked the right breed for the circumstances and likelihood of a proper environment.

Commander is not at fault here. Joe screws up everything he touches and I don't doubt that the dog hates his living conditions in a house full of morons, fools and perverts. Agree with OP.

While campaigning Joe showed up in a leg brace. He said he’d reached down to pull his dogs tail and lost his balance, blah, blah. I knew then that he shouldn’t be allowed around dogs and I’m not even a dog person. Animals do not like their tails being pulled. None of them. It hurts and is an offense to them. Those dogs behavior reflects joes treatment of them.

My sympathies are for the dog. Dogs need structure in their lives and a sense of belonging.
I suspect "Commander" is emotionally completely abandoned and is acting out because he has no
"owner" to look to.
A "lost soul," so to speak.

If my dog had bitten anybody more than twice they'd a put it down. Amazing how the law works isn't it. Or maybe doesn't work.

There were stories about a year ago about one of the Biden dogs being a biter. Think it was sent back to Delaware. Is the dog in this story the same dog or another one? Have been bit by dogs twice in my life. Both were German Shepherds. Both incidents happened while delivering newspapers. One idiot customer insisted I collect at their back door where their watchdogs were housed. The other incident, the dog spotted me from half a block away and went after me. Agree it is poor training. Or the dogs have been trained to be vicious.

Anyone who has owned a German Shephard like your truly knows that not only are they large, powerful and protective they are also highly intelligent. There's a reason why law enforcement and the military use them. As such dogs such as this need to be trained. They need to know who's the pack leader and they also need plenty of exercise. I walked mine and cared for him until he passed back in 2018. I loved Prince and he was the best. Commander is probably being neglected by the Cadaver and his bride. Which is sad but the pooch seems to be another indictment of how dysfunctional the FJB regime truly is.

I pity the SS agent who's in charge of picking up Commander's BMs. That agent must be pulling double duty (no pun intended) looking after Dementia Joe too.

Dogs that routinely bite should be put down or muzzled, preferably the former.

The SSA's should watch a little Judge Judy in the break room; majority of her cases are dog-bites and she usually assigns the maximum $5000 to the biter's owner. She especially likes to read the news item about the grandfather who visits his young grandson in hospital who had his face chewed by the family's lovable little pitbull terrier.

This issue is the most important issue in US history. I have an ulcer, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, edema and anemia all within 3 months. I am not able to afford treatment so these conditions are going untreated.

Be kind of a fitting justice if a SS member bit by the dog just happened to see Hunter doing a bong on the WH roof.

Mean dogs often reflect the treatment they receive from their owners. I can see Joe being a kicker and a taunter. Taking out his sadism on the dog.
