Washington—With heat waves spreading across the United States, President Joe Biden on Thursday announced new steps to protect workers — including a hazard alert notifying employers and employees about ways to stay protected from extreme heat — as well as measures to improve weather forecasts and make drinking water more accessible.
The actions come as nearly 40% of the U.S. population faces heat advisories, according to the National Weather Service. High temperatures have already scorched the Southwest this month, and more heat is expected in the Midwest and the Northeast in the coming days. Washington won’t be spared, and the heat index in the capital could reach 110 degrees Fahrenheit

Too bad these clowns weren't around to remember the weather in the 1930s
Funny how their "records" start in the 70s when the "experts" were predicting an ice age

I live in Palm Springs and pay attention to the temperature. So far it was hotter last year and the year prior hotter still. I have never seen and heard such hysteria about normal July weather. In the article it says the heat index will be 110 degrees. I’ve noticed that “heat index” has replaced real temperatures.

Let's just release some more oil from the strategic oil reserve. Oh, about 120 million barrels would be good. Makes as much sense as anything else this dufus will do.

The one thing he could actually do to protected people from extreme heat would be to lower the cost of Electricity. That would be drill baby and produce more coal but of course Biden does the opposite.

Willis Carrier already figured out how to give us relief from the heat. What we need government to do is do on the power. Stop finding ways to limit the energy available to consumers. Stop the "climate catastrophe" BS.
We have enough resources to power the world for centuries--why are the commies in the government trying to make us suffer without it?

Basically what #15 said, except I'd make it 7am or 8pm (maybe even 10pm - gulf humidity makes the heat linger later..
And #10 is spot on, with so many of the existing records coming during the Dust Bowl years of the '30s.
And that "blanket immunity" that Hunter's team tried to sneak into his sweetheart plea deal sure could have provided relief from the extreme legal heat that's closing in on the Bidens....

How in the world is he going to do that? By telling us it's hot in the summer?
Probably by forcing thermometer manufacturers to re-calicrate their instruments.

I remember reading articles over at 'WattsUpWithThat.com' years ago, how the Feds were 'adjusting' the temperature record, actually changing the temperature record. They apparently 'adjust' the numbers every couple of weeks, just a tiny bit each time, making the older records 'cooler', and the older the records, they greater the 'adjustment'. This is part of the FRAUD they are pushing that "Temperatures today are the HOTTEST EVER". Also, 'Record Heat' for a location is 'Record Heat' for that day of the year, for instance 27 July, NOT the 'Hottest Day Ever'. That way, they can 'Break the Record' every day.... somewhere.

Well yeah it's hot! Its summer time. And yeah it's hotter than hell if you ask me. Live in Louisiana transplanted from the great state of Washington. Been here for 54 years. Summers are always hot, but then again this has been a knock down heat wave. So Joey wants to hep us out. Hog wash. I stay comfortable. My dog stays comfortable. My piece of advice, stay inside. Or find a nice grove ot tall trees near a babbling brook and enjoy the shade. Look after your neighbors. Take care. This too, will pass

Sung to the tune of Mighty Mouse, "Here Brandon comes to save the day!" Seriously I for one don't need the Sniffer-in-Thief's help in dealing with SUMMER weather. I work at one of our premier Naval Bases and just got a Black Flag heat alert to remind me to hydrate and stay inside. Whatever would I do if I didn't have all of this help?!
