This is a headline that you could pull up from the archives over the past twenty years or more. Just swap out the names and a couple of office titles and the stories seem indistinguishable from one another. Friends and associates of a high-ranking elected official in New York State or New York City have been indicted on campaign finance corruption charges. This time it’s a group of associates of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. some donors qualify for an 800% Match from taxpayer funds??? How much has AOC used of that program? Will he/they use the usual Democrat ploy of "donating" a similar amount(to a charity of their choice, often staffed by other allies) or be forced this time to cough it up to prosecutors? Hillary faced no penalties for "Grocery bags full of cash and sequential checks, delivered weekly to her personal secretary"...long before she carpet bagged into NY and ran for senator even though she didn't qualify for a resident fishing license.

For colleges and libraries seeking a boldfaced name for a guest lecturer, few come bigger than Sonia Sotomayor, the Supreme Court justice who rose from poverty in the Bronx to the nation’s highest court. She has benefited, too — from schools’ purchases of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of the books she has written over the years. Sotomayor’s staff has often prodded public institutions that have hosted the justice to buy her memoir or children’s books, works that have earned her at least $3.7 million since she joined the court in 2009. Details of those events, largely out of public view, were obtained by The Associated Press through more than 100 open records

The First Amendment is under assault by the very people entrusted to protect it. The Biden administration and the corporate media removed any doubt about this after a July 4 ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty. Evidence revealed during the discovery process in Missouri v. Biden convinced the judge that administration officials illegally pressured social media platforms to censor disfavored views. Doughty issued a 155-page opinion and an injunction prohibiting federal officials from “pressuring or coercing social-media companies in any manner to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce posted content of postings containing protected free speech.”

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, President Biden falsely claimed that Russia is at war with Iraq. Russia is at war with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin is “clearly losing the war in Iraq,” Biden told the press pool, “losing the war at home. And he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.” On Tuesday, during an unrelated fundraising event in Chevy Chase, Md., Biden made the exact same slip-up, mistaking Ukraine for Iraq. “If anybody told you … that we’d be able to bring all of Europe together in the onslaught on Iraq and get NATO to be completely united,” the president said,

Joe Biden is Inspector Jacques Clouseau. We don’t know whether to laugh (Clouseau) or cry (Biden). In fantasy, Clouseau bumbled his way to success. In reality, Biden is a failure; worse, a danger to himself and to others. He is America’s nightmare, more hazardous to the world than climate change. The dark comedy of Biden’s mental decay/physical decline is evidenced daily when his caretakers let him out, after dosing his secret, volatile medication. Sleep apnea, previously undisclosed, is the latest alibi for his dysfunction. His medical records are no more transparent than Hunter Biden’s tax returns, and the president’s doctor won’t come clean.

As expected, the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that President Biden doesn’t have the constitutional authority to “forgive” $430 billion in student loan debt. The decision, written by Chief Justice Roberts, drove the point home by quoting former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 2021 statement regarding Biden’s power to do so without the consent of Congress: “People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not.” Yet, Biden defiantly insisted Friday afternoon that the Court’s decision was wrong and that he plans to keep pushing for his massive giveaway scheme under the aegis of the Higher Education Act (HEA).

Republican Kentucky Rep. James Comer alleged the Biden family has taken in more than $40 million from foreign entities, observing Wednesday the president is “compromised.” During an interview on the “Cats and Cosby Show,” Comer told hosts John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby that the investigation into the Biden family’s financial dealings has revealed “19 shell companies,” that were seemingly created for the sole purpose to launder money from foreign entities to at least nine members of the president’s family. In the past five days, Comer stated, more bank records have come in revealing “more bank accounts, more shell companies and more Biden’s.”

A former business partner of Hunter and James Biden, who worked directly with them on a 2017 China energy deal, was never asked to testify to a Delaware grand jury investigating Hunter Biden, two sources familiar with the discussions tell CBS News. Tony Bobulinski, the former business partner, was open to testifying, and his attorney reached out to the office of Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss. Weiss did not return their calls, the sources said. Weiss' decision not to bring Bobulinski is the latest indication that prosecutors investigating Hunter Biden may have avoided investigating allegations about his father, President Joe Biden. In October 2020, Bobulinski was invited by the Trump campaign

On “Fox & Friends,” Speaker McCarthy yesterday launched a broadside against Attorney General Garland, and made it perfectly clear that the House was prepared to impeach the AG. Here’s what he said: “Yesterday, I laid out really clearly, by July 6th, because of the allegations from the IRS, because of the whistleblowers, and the DOJ…. Garland, what he is saying and what David Weiss is saying privately, are two different things. Without question, the case against Mr. Garland is growing almost on a daily basis. It's been nearly three weeks since former President Donald Trump announced that he had been indicted in the classified documents investigation. On June 8, the day of the announcement on Trump's Truth Social network, the former president's lead over top challenger Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was 30.3 points in the RealClearPolitics average of national polls. Today, Trump's lead over DeSantis is 30.6 points. A federal indictment, on top of a local prosecutor's indictment in New York City, seems not to have affected Trump's national poll numbers at all. By the old standards of politics, it makes no sense. The Biden administration on Monday slammed the Republican-controlled House’s version of 2024 National Defense Authorization Act for requiring military personnel decisions to be based on merit and not race or gender, among other provisions. “The Administration strongly opposes the House’s sweeping attempts…to eliminate the Department’s longstanding [Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access] efforts and related initiatives to promote a cohesive and inclusive force,” the Biden administration said in a Statement of Administration Policy. The House’s NDAA contains a number of Republican-authored provisions to roll back the Biden administration’s efforts to push Marxist-based Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the entire Department of Defense establishment, including the military.

President Joe Biden has raised eyebrows after skipping dinner with NATO leaders on Tuesday night and instead heading straight to his hotel in Lithuania. A US official blamed the 80-year-old president's busy schedule over four days and said he's preparing for a 'big speech' on Wednesday when asked why he wasn't attending. Biden, who has only been in Europe since Sunday night and went to the beach on Saturday, had Secretary of State Antony Blinken attend instead. The president's snub came after he told Turkish President Recep Erdogan he would win re-election - and would be working with him for the next five years.

However, according to Wired, the venerable technology magazine, when homeowners work with law enforcement to turn over Ring footage of criminals on their (or their neighbors’) property, they are engaging in vigilantism…and are probably racists, too. Aside from being a witless perversion of language, it reveals the anti-black racism at work in leftist circles. According to Dictionary.com, a core element of being a vigilante is to act outside of the law: noun 1. a member of a vigilance committee.
