President Joe Biden has raised eyebrows after skipping dinner with NATO leaders on Tuesday night and instead heading straight to his hotel in Lithuania. A US official blamed the 80-year-old president's busy schedule over four days and said he's preparing for a 'big speech' on Wednesday when asked why he wasn't attending. Biden, who has only been in Europe since Sunday night and went to the beach on Saturday, had Secretary of State Antony Blinken attend instead. The president's snub came after he told Turkish President Recep Erdogan he would win re-election - and would be working with him for the next five years.

One Republican in Congress proposed stopping the flow of money to special counsel Jack Smith to rein in his federal investigation into former President Donald Trump.
After Trump announced on Tuesday that he received a “target letter” in the 2020 election portion of the inquiry, Rep. Conservative radio host and litigator Mark Levin accused U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Special Counsel Jack Smith, and a variety of state and local prosecutors of interfering in the 2024 election Tuesday. A 40-car CSX freight train operating on Norfolk Southern tracks derailed in Montgomery County around 4:50 a.m., ABC 6 reported. Emergency crews responded to the site of the derailment in the suburban area of Whitemarsh Township. Photos show multiple cars toppled off the tracks.
