An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.”
Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,

Donald Trump has accused Joe Biden of being a 'corrupt, incompetent leader' who has been 'compromised' by China and Ukraine.
Addressing a gathering of Republican volunteers in Las Vegas, Trump spent 40 minutes discussing the border, economy, crime, and trans women in sport.
He attacked his Republican rival Ron DeSantis as 'highly overrated', and saying he has 'no personality'.But he saved his strongest condemnation for the president, declaring that 'the gloves are off'.
He then went to a UFC match at the T-Mobile arena with Dana White, president of UFC; Roger Stone, veteran Republican operative; and Mel Gibson.

More of New York City’s police officers are reportedly rushing for the exit as crime plagues their communities.
The news comes on the heels of former New York Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner Keechant Sewell’s resignation, even though she would not say why she handed in her notice, NBC New York reported on June 14.Meanwhile, a New York Post article published Saturday cited data regarding the officer exodus, stating that “Through June 30, 648 officers quit before retiring this year — a 22% spike from 2021, when 530 left, and an 87% rise from 2020, when 347 quit, NYPD pension data show.”

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly rode a moped around New York City opening fire at random on Saturday morning - killing one person and injuring three more.
The unnamed man killed an 87-year-old in Queens, shooting from a 9mm pistol with an extended magazine, police said.
Assistant Chief Joseph Kenny of the NYPD Detective Bureau said they believe the weapon was a 'ghost gun', with its serial number removed. 'We have not found a serial number on the gun,' Kenny said.

Media headlines in recent weeks soured on President Joe Biden, as his agenda appears derailed by setbacks ranging from Supreme Court rulings to economic pessimism to nagging scandals.
While gearing up for his 2024 campaign, Biden launched an economic public relations scheme. He calls it “Bidenomics.” The plan is meant to reverse voters’ negative perception of the nation’s direction.According to a recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, 78 percent of voters believe Biden’s America is on the wrong track, increasing over 25 points since Biden took office. Just three in ten Americans say Biden’s economy is good, an AP-NORC Center poll recently found.

President Joe Biden jetted off to his home in Delaware this weekend after facing a hard week of taking naps in the Oval Office and maybe signing a paper here or there. And don’t forget he has to go into hiding just in time to dodge the press before they ask him questions about the “mysterious” cocaine found at the White House.
With that being said, according to a GOP count, his recent trip to Delaware means he has spent nearly 40 percent—352 days— of his presidency on vacation.

Allegations emerged Thursday of U.S. law enforcement officials setting a meeting with a “missing” Biden family whistleblower, Dr. Gal Luft, who claims authorities arrested him in Cyprus to prevent his cooperation with House Oversight Committee chair James Comer’s (R-KY) probe into the Biden family.
Comer wanted to interview Luft as a “potential witness” before he went into hiding after his arrest in February. Authorities charged Luft with conspiring to sell Chinese weapons to the UAE, Kenya, and Libya, violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and making a false statement.

President Joe Biden was seen on Saturday at the beach near his Delaware home, soaking up the sun with his wife Jill and granddaughter Finnegan, 22.
The president and his family relaxed under a sun lounger, under the watchful eye of their Secret Service detail.
But other beachgoers seemed to pay the presidential entourage little notice, and continued to enjoy the sunny day.Finnegan's father, Hunter Biden, 52, was not with the group.
Joe and Jill Biden paid $2.74 million for their beachfront home in Rehoboth Beach in 2017, in the North Shores district.
