Washington— More than $200 billion may have been stolen from two large COVID-19 relief initiatives, according to new estimates from a federal watchdog investigating federally funded programs that helped small businesses survive the worst public health crisis in more than a hundred years.
The numbers issued Tuesday by the U.S. Small Business Administration inspector general are much greater than the office’s previous projections and underscore how vulnerable the Paycheck Protection and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs were to fraudsters, particularly during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.
The inspector general’s report said “at least 17 percent of all COVID-EIDL and PPP funds were disbursed to potentially fraudulent actors.”

Covid 19 was not, is not, the worst public health problem in American history. I submit that the 1919 Swine Flu that killed ten times more Americans was worse. Also, the polio outbreaks that destroyed the lives of so many kids and young adults was far more problematic. The government used this bug to consolidate power and terrify those who are too ignorant or stupid to recognize it.

My three grandsons not only lost money, they had to be vax'd and continue working around non-vax'd people. Only the elderly were targeted with the first China virus. Next time, they'll aim for the kids. Like the ''L''etter people, they'll come for the children.

From what I understand, the 'in' crowd watched the programs being developed, then the 'New York Minute' the programs went 'live' the 'in' crowd of law firms and big businesses with lawyers on staff swooped in and vacuumed up the bulk of the Cash, while the Mom-and-Pop shops out in Flyover country were struggling to keep their doors open and their employees paid, never mind trying to run the rat-maze of applying for assistance.

No sh!#. Who didn't see this coming. Local school districts used it for staff raises, hardly "relief."

In chaos lies opportunity. If chaos does not exist...it must be created. Any sort of panic, bogus or not, will stampede the gullible in the desired direction. In the view of the Evil Left, the People are pigeons that deserve to be plucked.

May? They paid millions of people not to work. They paid school teachers who aren't teaching much when they are at work. Every hospital in my area has built new wings and expanded services that are now sitting empty.

If they know where it went, why not go, guns blazing, and get it back. What? They already spent it? Well, JAIL TIME might just juggle their memory as to where the money is and how they can get it back. The American people are sick and tired of the Government telling us about lost money, yawning and saying "oh well, it's gone, nothing we can do about it". Bull! Go get it back!! I suggest all those IRS Agents, with guns, should go after this Money!!

Perhaps #4 but the PPP was developed by the Trump Administration (yes in response to governors shutting down their sates) in particular, this was Larry Kudlow's baby and he never really has been asked about the structural weaknesses in the program he designed. This fraud is on the Trump Administration unfortunately.

Democraps have been doing this forever...pass bills in congress for some good sounding reason then steal most of the money and distro it to the Leftist Organizations and Sycophants. That IS HOW they keep their Power Base happy....Kinda like the Mafia running Cities! TIME TO CUT THEM OFF AND AUDIT ALL and GET THE MONEY BACK, OR PRISON TIME FOR THE PERPS. YES I'M YELLING, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

The AP acts like this is great, important, up to the minute news. Really? I was aware it was happening in real time. But, I'll bet my liberal friends who read the NYT and "news feeds" (translated PBS) will find this to be news.

The article fails to report that the laws that made such massive fraud were quickly passed without adequate safeguards to deter mass fraud by the Democrat controlled Congress run by Schumer and Pelosi.

Makes me wonder what if this and the Ukrainian money pit had been instead directed towards making social security solvent.

Might this (at least partially) explain why there are so many job openings across the country, and no one wants to work? If you have a "cash stash" that came from this stolen $, it could help make a nice life. Let's say 5 million people got an equal piece of that govt pie of $200 billion, that's $40K per head. Couple that with a little internet business started during COVID, plus working "off the grid" for cash, that's not bad. Not bad at all.

More proof than ever...WE need President Trump in the Oval Office...a businessman who knows how to run things...he'll find the money...no wonder the swamp is so anxious to send him to prison...they want him controlled and perhaps an Epstein outcome is in their thinking...dear God...please watch out for him and his family.....the more information WE get...the more dangerous it is for the Trump family.....
