Christie: Trump Doesn’t Have the ‘Character’

Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that former President Donald Trump does not have the “character” to be president. Christie said, “I’ve been in the race for less than three weeks and already in third place in New Hampshire, only four points behind Ron DeSantis, who has been in the race for a longer time and is supposed to be the co-front-runner. Look, people understand that folks need to take responsibility for what they do. And my message to the folks at Faith and Freedom, which did get some good reactions, too.

Christie is unclear on the concept of answering questions. He should have learned somewhere that a litmus test is a color change on LITMUS paper. A multiple choice test will often have little squares (boxes) in which to place your mark to indicate your choice of given answers. Furthermore, in a video of Christie answering a non-random question about January 6th, Chris Christie looked directly at Ashley Babbitt's mother and silently walked away. Chris Christie clearly lacks the “character” to be president.

If you are convinced that “character” is a prerequisite for ascending to the White Office, just get a look at the 2 clowns who occupy it now. Trump has character but some think that mean Tweets are more important than what he haa accomplished … so there are clowns in the voting booths as well.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy questioned whether Donald Trump is the strongest candidate to win the 2024 nomination in a comment that raised eyebrows Tuesday morning. The GOP speaker, who is an ally of Trump's, said on CNBC Tuesday morning he thinks Trump could win the GOP nomination, but isn't sure if Trump is the 'strongest' to win a general election. 'Yeah he can beat Biden,' McCarthy said. 'Trump's policies are better, [more] straightforward than Biden's policies.' 'Can he win that election? Yeah he can,' McCarthy said. 'The question is, is he the strongest to win the election, I don't know that answer.

Hunter Biden will face hours of questioning — under oath — on Thursday when he sits for a deposition in the civil case brought by the owner of the computer repair shop where he abandoned his laptop. The deposition represents the first time the president’s son will be forced to confirm he owned the laptop that contained a cache of emails incriminating the Biden family in a pay-to-play scandal. And unlike the criminal investigation into Hunter’s conduct, this time his father’s administration won’t be able to protect him. Last October, John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the computer repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware,

Support among House Judiciary Committee Republicans for an impeachment inquiry into Attorney General Merrick Garland grew stronger after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy threatened impeachment proceedings if IRS whistleblower allegations turn out to be true regarding the politicization of the Justice Department’s Hunter Biden tax probe. IRS whistleblowers told Congress last week the DOJ twice prevented United States Attorney David Weiss from bringing stronger charges in two separate locations against Hunter Biden. In addition, the whistleblowers alleged Garland rejected a request to appoint a special counsel in the probe to place a degree of separation between the DOJ and President Joe Biden.

We’ve long been critical of Hollywood’s lack of fresh, new ideas and its apparent fascination with rebooting past films or giving us a sequel decades later. Sadly, merely paying homage to the original material is insufficient. Instead, producers opt to incorporate “wokeness,” believing it will be more appealing to modern viewers, but in the process, they end up taking something beloved and turning it into garbage that the masses don’t want to see. The latest example is Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the prequel series to the 1978 hit film Grease. I’m not sure who wanted this — it’s bad enough to hear any of the original songs
