About one in four children in the United States are living in fatherless homes, making them far more likely to suffer from mental health and behavioral issues, research details.
An issue brief published by the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) finds clear correlations between children raised in fatherless homes and developmental challenges such as anger problems, violent tendencies, and overall lower educational scores.
U.S. Census Bureau data shows that as of 2022, more than 18 million children across the nation live in fatherless homes — indicating that about one in four children do not have a father figure in their household.

The government is responsible for a lot of that. They connected helping poor women through pregnancies, birth, feeding children, housing vouchers, etc., if there was no man in the house. If their was you had to count his income and that always disqualified them from benefits.

Care to break those numbers down by race, or would that be racist?

That is all.

For some time In some black communities the females want a baby and don't care if it's out of wedlock. Maybe that is making its way into other cultures.

Easy to fix. Mommies don't get their welfare unless they ID the Fathers and then the Fathers pay up or get castrated.

# 6 - my ex did his student teaching at a black high school. He said the boys there were always becoming fathers because in their community, you weren't a man until you fathered a baby.

Mental health issues? Gee, I wonder why. Single mothers tend to be on the mire liberal side and feed into all of the tripe the government and media feeds them. Now their children are being indoctrinated the same way. They don't know if they boys or girls, right from wrong, and are su h self absorbed snowflakes, they meltdown anytime their world view is challenged. They're little liberals.

Uncle Sam should henceforth be depicted as Uncle Jeffery (Epstein); plies victims with shiny trinkets, feeds & houses their indentured servants, reward$ for making tasty new workers/voters OR mandates murder of inconvenient product. Apparently hellbent on suicide while living a perpetual Chinese firedrill would make most of us unstable. I'll stay at the foot of the cross, not the next new flag.

Around 50 years ago, my dad ran a Boy Scout Troop. Most of the kids came from broken families. Many of the parents would not help. Kids had behavioral issues. Some of the parents had behavioral issues. Trying to run a troop of over 10 kids without any other parental help became an issue. Too many kids to shuttle around. Too many kids to watch. Kids would raise money for summer camp, and either get pulled from the troop or would end up $5 or $10 short and the parents would not give it to them. Parents just did not want to get involved. In the end, he shut the troop down.

It might help if a woman calling herself a "single mother" was actually an embarrassing way to describe oneself. Instead it's said with pride.
I have all the respect for "single" mothers (like my own) who were widows or divorcees.

#1 nailed it.
In his textbook 'Basic Economics', professor Thomas Sowell (who happens to be a black man) states that broken families is the strongest indicator of poverty. He went on to write that in the 1950's and early 1960's, black families had a higher percentage of intact families than whites, and were gaining on whites economically.
The 1965 'Great Society' welfare laws provided cash for poor households -women with children- but not if there was a man in the house. This caused the breakup of black families on an Industrial scale. The laws, and their effects, have remained in place.
Now, 6 decades later, we see -have been seeing- the results, for decades.
I wonder..... in previous decades, the Democ'RATS.... the party of slavery, the party of the KKK, worked to keep black folks down.
Did they suddenly have this great change of heart..... or did they just change tactics?
Did they switch from night riders in white robes and pointy hoods, to abusing the laws and abusing (taking, then redistributing) the wealth of the middle class to break up black families and 'keep 'em down'?
This has been turning out SO badly, and for SO long, that it can't be by accident!
It seems to me that.....The tactic worked!
