As we await the Supreme Court decision that could bring an end to affirmative action, Pew Research has published the results of a poll showing that fully half of US adults disapprove of it. Half of U.S. adults say they disapprove of selective colleges and universities taking prospective students’ racial and ethnic backgrounds into account when making admissions decisions. Fewer (33%) approve of colleges considering race and ethnicity to increase diversity at the schools, while 16% are not sure. With the court nearing the end of its term and decisions in two related cases involving the private Harvard College and the public University of North Carolina expected

Affirmative Action, that government sanctioned acknowledgement that you aren't as smart as others. Here's your sign-on bonus for being our ''token.''

When applying for a state job in Louisiana, you sign a bunch of papers. One says you agree with affirmative action. Sign it or you don't get a job. It might have been a good thing to start with, lots more black people got good jobs. But at a point where they couldn't compete, they fell back on the 'racism' cry and in the end it's been really bad for some of them. This is not equality, it's preferential treatment which does no one any good.

Blatantly bogus numbers. Affirmative Action fills our government with an overly stacked number of persons of color but out here in the real world it is nothing but a misguided government program that slows things down and creates a diluted, unhappy workforce. The few that want to work are given a bad name by the many who do not.

Affirmative action = systematic racism. Better off being an equal like what Republicans want. Democrats are the biggest racists of them all for their insistence that Blacks aren't as capable as everyone else and need an unfair advantage. Another monkey wrench democrats have thrown into the free society machine.

Affirmative Action is absolutely systemic racism, and they complain about it all the time....while they do it to whites, and benefit from it every day.

America has had over half a century of "reparations" in the form of Black preferences in college admissions, grading, hiring, promotion, and government contracting set-asides. Black Priviledge has been the rule since 1964. Since it has clearly NOT elevated everyone to equal positions socially or economically, perhaps it is finally time to look for the impediments to success within the Black culture itself, where promiscuity, illegitimacy, lack of impulse control, ignorance, and failuire are glorified.

Exactly, #2. AA sets minorities up for failure, especially in college admissions. And when they can’t cut it, they get angry and bitter and sometimes violent. At some point I hope that minorities will wake up to what the demonicrats have been doing to them for the last 60 years.

Turley: "This is an extremely damning indictment" 19 replies

Just how serious is the bill of charges that Donald Trump will face on Tuesday? “These are hits below the water line,” Jonathan Turley tells Fox News this afternoon after the surprise unsealing of the 38-charge indictment against Trump. “This is not an indictment that you can dismiss.” You can bet that Trump’s legal team will literally attempt that on Tuesday, but Turley cautions that special counsel Jack Smith put a lot of effort in making sure it will stand. And not just in court, either: So did locating an e-mail server in a Chappaqua bathroom. But I’m getting ahead of myself … You can find the indictment here, although

Now this is interesting. According to the Public Religion Research Institute, Americans’ attitudes to the alphabet ideology have been hardening, and the numbers don’t look so good if you are a proponent of the madness. PRRI polled more than 5000 Americans–a huge sample for a poll, and one for which a ton of money had to be paid–and there has been a significant shift away from the basic tenets of the gender ideology that has been shoved down our throats by everybody in the Establishment over the past couple of years. Political debates about gender identity have become heated in recent years, as some state legislatures have increasingly sought to restrict transgender rights.

The Justice Department special counsel who filed charges against former President Donald Trump says in his first public statement that the country has “one set of laws” and that they apply to everyone. Jack Smith delivered a two-minute statement Friday, soon after the department unsealed a 37-count indictment against Trump that accuses him of mishandling classified information. Smith said prosecutors would seek a speedy trial. The case was filed in Florida. The indictment unsealed Friday alleges that Trump described a Pentagon “plan of attack” and shared a classified map related to a military operation.

Joe Biden all but delivered the Republican nomination for president to Donald Trump on a silver platter when Merrick Garland indicted Trump on Thursday. Biden has turned America into a Banana Republic with his latest dirty political trick against Trump. Indicting the opposition party’s strongest candidate against him, Biden acted as any third world dictator would. He is trying his best to take out his challenger as the primary competition barely gets underway. Be sure to read Ed’s post on this topic. He goes into the alleged charges against Trump. I’m not doing that. This is some deeply corrupt stuff that is being carried out by a deeply corrupt president.

Washington — The historic federal indictment filed against former President Donald Trump was made public Friday, detailing the charges the former president is facing related to his handling of sensitive government records after leaving the White House. The 44-page indictment filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida alleges that Trump "endeavored to obstruct the FBI and grand jury investigations and conceal retention of classified documents." The indictment names Walt Nauta, an aide to Trump who served as a White House valet, as a co-conspirator. The indictment lists 37 counts in all against Trump: 31 counts of willful retention of classified documents 1 count of

As RedState reported (and as prior reports indicated), Donald Trump was indicted for a second time on Thursday, this time by the DOJ for alleged violations of the Espionage Act. That relates to documents that he took with him after leaving the White House. The government’s chief piece of evidence is reportedly a tape of Trump discussing a national security document with Mark Meadows and his staffers during a Q and A for a book. The DOJ is accusing the former president of admitting on the tape that he knew the document was still classified. Jack Smith and his team of prosecutors are going to attempt to undercut Trump’s primary defense,

The recruiting crisis within the U.S. military is a very real thing, and while senior military leaders and “military experts” have been putting the blame squarely on young people, all signs point to the bigger issue boiling down primarily to one thing: the federal government’s dangerous obsession with all things woke. And when I say “dangerous,” I’m not engaging in hyperbole. My RedState colleague streiff explained it well in a recent post: The fact is that the military has become a hostile work environment for straight, white, conservative males who have historically been the demographic most likely to enlist. The Air Force has said it has too many white pilots,

Gallup’s latest Values and Beliefs Survey said that conservatives top liberals on social policies and the economy, the two biggest topics America is grappling with. “For most of the past eight years, Americans were about as likely to say they were liberal as conservative on social issues. This year, there is a more obvious conservative advantage,” said the nation’s biggest pollster on Thursday. “The shift is mostly due to increasing social conservatism among Republicans
