Embattled CNN CEO Chris Licht out

Original Article

Chris Licht is out of his position as chairman and CEO of CNN after just over a year. "Bulletin: Chris Licht is out at CNN," CNN reporter Oliver Darcy tweeted. Under Licht's tenure, CNN faced financial woes and declining ratings as the company underwent major programming changes. The Atlantic published a devastating profile of Licht last week titled "Inside the Meltdown at CNN." The article showcased a tumultuous year at CNN, and Licht apologized to staffers Monday.

Comments:

Just goes to show - - that being a faithful leftist is even more important than keeping a high-paying job. All Lichtie had to do - - was take the programming more to the middle - - or even over to the right - - and the CNN ratings would have soared. But the bleatings of his delusional, mouth-foaming subordinates were enough to intimidate Lichtie into toeing the leftist line. What a putz!

I haven't watched CNN since the Iraq War....the first Iraq War when I found out from my wife that CNN was trying to kill us by giving away our positions to Saddam's army. So Licht was trying to drag CNN to the middle? No wonder he got canned. CNN hasn't been near the middle since Ted Turner ran the leftist operation.

CNN's poor ratings/performance are all from the ROT from within, it doesn't matter who runs the sinking ship, it's DOOMED!

I'm sure the leftist on-screen types and producers are celebrating. But in life, you have to be careful what you wish for. The replacement might be worse.....

Leftism, modern Marxism, is a religion, a mainstream cult. Reality no longer matters. All that matters is maintaining the insane dogma about transgenders, climate change, and white supremacy. They will destroy anything or anyone who seems to oppose them. Marxism. Could the next holocaust be far behind?

According to other sources, several top employees will also be out. Judging by the names, they are all male. Replacements in news / content sections will be female. There will be a three person committee, 2 of which are female. Staffers were all angry that Trump was allowed on CNN and that people in the audience cheered for him. So no more Trump. And if they are avoiding Trump, they will be losing even more ratings. They are in a downward spiral so strong that the G-force will cause them to black out. They will not see the end coming.

A leading UK school has banned pupils from addressing staff as “Sir” or “Miss” — calling it a battle against “cultural misogyny” inspired by the principal’s “sage,” Taylor Swift. Harris Westminster Sixth Form executive principal James Handscombe introduced the policy in an assembly at his London school Monday, saying it was “part of a wider reset” that couldn’t be left up to “old men to fix.” “We are changing the way that students refer to staff … No longer will it be acceptable to call us “Sir” or “Miss,'” he said, noting the inspiration of Swift singing “F–k the patriarchy.”

A door on the West side of the U.S. Capitol was left open and mostly unguarded for key moments during the Jan. 6 riot, allowing more than 300 people to enter the building unimpeded even as officers fought valiantly to keep protesters out of other sections of the official home of Congress, according to police security footage obtained by Just the News. The footage -- which confirms concerns first raised by Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., two years ago -- shows an episode in a narrow hallway in the middle of the Capitol

Two privately chartered planes carrying Latin American migrants from New Mexico have arrived in Sacramento since Friday, and California officials are blaming Florida for flying migrants to the state's capital. California appears to be presenting the green movement with yet another reality check. Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom has set forth arguably the country's most ambitious state-level plan to transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy. However, when California's almost inevitable heat waves come in the summer and residents crank up their home air conditioners, officials turn on massive diesel-powered generators to make up for the state’s energy shortfall and to avoid rolling blackouts.

The union that represents New York City's public school teachers is holding a workshop on how to reduce the "harmful effects of whiteness in our lives" for educators who wish to advance their credentials, a shocking New York Post report revealed Saturday. The event's landing page says the course "is about cultural humility and inclusion," and "will allow us to discuss how whiteness relates to privilege and identity, and how both become normalized and invisible."

Does Pennsylvania have a U.S. Senator? I only ask because John Fetterman has been hospitalized for what seems like a decade by now. The Keystone progressive, who somehow handily beat Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 Senate race, was immediately riddled with health episodes. During a Senate Democrat winter retreat, he had to be rushed to the hospital. Fetterman would later be hospitalized again, opting to stay for a month to deal with bouts of depression. That’s when his wife ditched him to take the family on vacation.

After months of near-silence and innuendo, Florida Gov. and GOP presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis decided to speak about Ukraine, removing all doubt about his position. While his statement on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show makes a handful of valid points, it is ridden with a fundamental misunderstanding of the war and US geopolitical interests. First, the good. DeSantis is correct to criticize the Biden administration’s lack of clear objectives in its support for “as long as it takes,” which is a recipe for a long and intractable conflict — which Americans would be right to reject.

The experts at the Tax Foundation fret that the current debate about extending the debt ceiling has lost track of the fact that Social Security is a major contributor to our growing deficit and debt crisis. They may be right about the fiscal ADHD on Capitol Hill, however, let’s make sure we are keeping track of the right discussion. It is true that both the growing deficit and long-term stability of Social Security are valid concerns that should draw the attention of Americans. These issues deserve the attention of all voters -- just not in the same sentence.
