Flashback: Trump Was Mostly Right In Finland

On July 16, 2018, the BBC summarized the Western media's fast-developing distaste for former President Trump: "Trump sides with Russia against FBI at Helsinki summit." The BBC storyline was that "U.S. intelligence agencies had concluded in 2016 that Russia was behind an effort to tip the scale of the U.S. election against Hillary Clinton, with a state-authorized campaign of cyber attacks and fake news stories planted on social media." So, at a news conference after the summit, President Trump was asked if he believed his own intelligence agencies or the Russian President when it came to the allegations of meddling in the elections.

When we interfere in other country's affairs we self righteously justify it as "promoting democracy". We haven't just just interfered in elections but overthrown governments in our zeal to promote our ideals. Our hegemony is better than your hegemony!!! Our policies and tactics are too often as disgraceful as those of our adversaries. “‘My country, right or wrong,’ is a thing that no patriot would think of saying. It is like saying, ‘My mother, drunk or sober.’” — G. K. Chesterton

The greatest interference in the election was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the democrat party, but as we all know they are untouchable, no matter what treasonous acts they pull.

The FBI is willing to allow all members of the House Oversight Committee to view the subpoenaed document that alleges President Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme, a source familiar told Fox News Digital. The source familiar said all members of the panel would be able to view the document in question — an FBI-generated 1023 form — in a secure location. It is unclear whether the secure location would be in a SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility) on Capitol Hill or at the FBI's headquarters.

PRINEVILLE, Ore. The continuing Greater Idaho movement to shift Oregon's border west so that much of Eastern Oregon joins its neighbor to the east claimed two wins Wednesday -- avoiding a recall of a razor-thin seven-vote win in Wallowa County and the Crook County Court's vote to put the advisory measure on next May's ballot. Here's their news release. (Keep in mind that any such state line realignment would need approval by the legislatures of both states -- and by Congress as well): The Wallowa County Clerk stated last night that the Greater Idaho ballot measure has avoided a recount because the election results were not close enough to trigger a recount. CORRECTIONS*

Up until two years ago, it would only take 12 hours for coal mined deep in a labyrinth operation 60 miles from here to go from that underground mine, through a high-tech cleaning procedure, and be loaded on a barge or rail car and brought to the Cheswick Generating Station, a coal-fired power plant, to light communities along the Allegheny River for generations. That efficient process came to an end in September 2021 when owner GenOn Holdings announced the then-51-year-old facility, one that environmental groups had in their sights for years, decided to retire the plant. The company cited "unfavorable economic conditions, higher costs including those associated with environmental

Mike Pence is officially running for president. Why? Well, because he wants to be president—that much has been clear since he accepted an invitation to be Donald Trump’s running mate in 2016 despite his obvious incompatibility with Trump as a matter of both personal comportment and ideology. Among other things, Pence was a “traditional family values” guy and national security “hawk” vis-à-vis figures like Vladimir Putin; joining the Trump campaign was pretty obviously a case of careerism over principle. And when you’re ambitious, and you’re the vice president, the next job you’re probably looking for is the big one!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has the White House worried, and rightly so: Boys who shout “The emperor has no clothes” have an impact. So far, the Bidenites are relying on their media allies to maul RFK Jr., Politico reports. Problem is, the reason the challenger’s running at 20% in primary polls has less to do with his last name (even Marianne Williamson’s at 8%) than with President Biden’s incredible weakness. Biden’s record is beyond atrocious, and at 80, he’s showing signs of serious decline. Voters — most definitely including Democrats — know it. So even someone as flaky as RFK Jr. starts to look appealing.

On paper, has there ever been a more qualified candidate for president than Mike Pence? Twelve years in the House of Representatives, four as governor of Indiana, and four as vice president of the United States. No president in at least the last 30 years has come to office with that kind of resume. And yet Pence, who this week becomes a candidate for the 2024 Republican nomination, is in a nearly impossible situation. Or maybe a totally impossible situation. And it all traces back to his four years with President Donald Trump in the White House — the period that should have set him up

America! The land of the free. A place for second chances. But if you’re a foreigner who wants to keep basking in the aforementioned freedom, the one thing you probably shouldn’t do is write about your excessive drug use in a memoir when you’re on a visa. That’s the mistake made by Prince Harry, who now faces legal action that could end with his deportation back to Britain. You’d think a royal armed with the best schooling (and lawyers) money can buy would know that. But as is clear from Prince Harry’s latest debacle, hundreds of thousands of the finest British pounds in tuition will only get you so far.

A recently resurfaced photo of Democrat Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear posing with a local chapter of the anti-Christian LGBTQ activist group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence has led to some sharp language between his campaign and that of his Republican challenger, state Attorney General Daniel Cameron. "This is just another example of how out of touch Andy Beshear is with our values. He’s the governor of Kentucky, not California," Cameron told Fox News Digital. "The fact that he would host an anti-Christian hate group that makes fun of people of faith is disqualifying for public office.

2024 GOP Presidential Candidates Must Answer

There is one fundamental question that any candidate vying for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2024 must answer — but that as of yet has gone largely unaddressed, at least publicly, as the field spars over significant but ultimately subordinate issues. The question is this: How will you win the general election under the present voting system? An inability to answer this question clearly, compellingly, and convincingly imperils Republican odds of retaking the White House, no matter how favorable their prospects might look come next November. It is incumbent on anyone who wants to earn the Republican presidential nomination to answer this question at the outset,

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is slamming the Afghanistan dissent cable to which Secretary of State Antony Blinken allowed congressional access Tuesday as "embarrassing" and saying that it debunks the Biden administration's narrative that it was caught off guard by the country's swift collapse in 2021. Issa, who serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News Digital that he was the first committee member to view the dissent channel cable from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and Washington's response. The State Department’s "dissent channel" allows for contrary views to be expressed by officials. The document, signed by 23 staffers and diplomats, warned about the possibility of a rapid Taliban advance

South Korea is aiming to secure one of the rotating seats on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) at a vote in the General Assembly on Tuesday. A successful campaign for one of the 10 non-permanent seats will give Seoul the opportunity to put issues that are critical to South Korea at the top of the UN's agenda. The result is not a foregone conclusion, however, as China, North Korea and Russia are likely to oppose South Korea's candidacy, in a bid to further their own geopolitical interests. Five of the 10 non-permanent seats are available for two-year terms from 2024.

A federal judge sided Tuesday with families who sued over Florida’s ban on gender transition procedures for minors, declaring that “gender identity is real.” (snip) Northern District of Florida Judge Robert L. Hinkle, a Clinton appointee, granted a preliminary injunction against the law to prohibit it from being enforced against the plaintiffs, and proceeded to make the claim that “great weight of medical authority supports these treatments.” In much of the developed world, including many Scandinavian countries, sex change interventions for minors are seen as lacking evidence and as largely experimental treatments.

John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, denied on Monday the Biden family’s business schemes represent a national security threat despite admitting he had not read the House Oversight Committee report on the matter. In May, the House Oversight Committee’s probe found the Biden family business over the course of several years received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, the investigation revealed.

Faye the swan was a beloved figure in Manlius, New York, as she plied the town ponds with her cygnets in tow. Her lineage has delighted residents since 1905. But to three refugee teens, she looked like a meal. One day she was simply gone, and once her disappearance was noticed, tips flooded in to police and they eventually arrested 18-year-old Eman Hussan of Syracuse, New York, and two minors, aged 16 and 17, all of whom are natives of Myanmar and attend high school in the area. They had killed the beauty—who did not fight back because she was nesting—and took it home, where they and their families ate it.

On Monday, David Zuckerman wrote a good piece about Peggy Noonan and her WSJ editorial concerning former President Donald Trump. Noonan argues that electing Donald Trump again would destroy the Republican party. Peggy may be right, and I hope that she is. Trump’s success in 2016 was, in large part, due to the way that he took the mechanisms of the Republican political machine and used them to secure victory. He ran a third-party-style campaign within the structure of the Republican party. The “party” as a corporate entity was against him, but grassroots Republicans in name and philosophy were all in for candidate Donald Trump.
