Taking time out of his busy schedule running Disney, Bob Iger flew to the Cannes film festival in support of Harrison Ford’s latest movie, even posting on social media snapshots of the aging action hero on the red carpet.
Lucasfilm Ltd. had just premiered the fifth installment in its Indiana Jones franchise and a lot is riding on the fedora-sporting, bullwhip-toting archeologist portrayed by the now 80-year-old Hollywood star. At nearly $300 million, Dial of Destiny is one of the most expensive films ever made and initial reviews suggest it could bomb big at the box office when it lands on June 30.

BTW, Harrison Ford........November 03, 2020
"I think we both agree we need a partner in Washington to really get this done, and that’s why maybe we both support Joe Biden," Bloomberg added, to which Ford nodded in response.
"The man’s a centrist," the actor asserted. "He said — he believes in a coalition, he believes in consensus. That’s the Democratic Party."
That is all.

The Indiana Jones character was fine when the character was his 40's or 50's, but an 80 year old Indiana Jones is just too much to believe. Imagine Biteme as this character.

What he needs to do is dump the later films down the memory hole, along with this gay trans garbage that is offensive to most of their customers and start from scratch with adventure oriented writers and directors and pretend the other crap never happened.
Then do the same for every other franchise (toy story and marvel for example). He's never going to get the investment back from those POS, but he'll stop offending the fans those franchises used to have.

They used to simply make fun and entertaining movies. Strong men as heroes. Women as femme fatales. Really bad "bad guys". Those were definitely the good old days.
But then they went woke. And, as we all know, go woke, go broke.
I can't stand going to the movies anymore. We did go see the last Indiana Jones movie, and it was terrible. No way I am going to see the new one getting ready to come out. I remember seeing the first two Star Wars movies, and they were really fun. But starting with the 3rd one, they just became advertisements for toys at Toys-R-Us. And then then just went massively downhill from there. The last one I saw was a horrible woke disaster. I wanted to ask for my money back. Never again.
It's time to put both of those franchises out of their (and our) misery.

When they hired Kathleen Kennedy she went all in on being woke. Get rid of her and things may start to turn around, otherwise they are just flushing money down the toilet

The Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises have been prolonged long past their expiration dates. Time to put both to bed.

I never watch network stuff anymore. We stream some Britbox mysteries and that’s it. Some of the British stuff is worth watching but American TV is krep with a few exceptions. Look at the Netflix stuff, gay propaganda and BLM hectoring. Forget it. I now boycott woke companies. It may not make a difference but it makes me feel better. I noticed a. Few Bud Light cans that my grandson left in our lake house fridge ....they go on the back wall tomorrow as fodder for my little .380

The bad thing about these franchises is that we are going to remember them more for the sad way they ended rather than how great they were.

As one who enjoyed Disney productions while growing up in the 1960's, it's sad watching these clowns run Disney into the ground.

I always watched Disney's Wonderful World of Color on Sunday nights. So many of their cartoons are classic and yet they seem to want to trash their legacy. Now, the people at Warner's want to promote Bugs Bunny as a drag icon. When Bugs dressed in drag it was only to trick Elmer, Yosemite Sam, Daffy or whatever villain was pursuing him so he could bring down the boom on them.
Some people have no sense of humor.

They need to fire the woman who bragged that she inserts the LGBT agenda into every kid movie. I'm talking about the one who has two pre-pubescent kids who she claims to be "pan-sexual" ( whatever that is) and bisexual.

Re #2, actors don't have to be very bright to do their job well and while a few are really good people, and quick witted, many are dull, colorless, dimwits, and far too many buy all the exteme leftist garbage that is now Hollywierd. Any person who imagines that Traitor Joe is "a centrist" who believes in "consensus" is either just lying, or more probably a sad dimwit.

Looks like Bob Iger will soon cashier the talentless intersectional feminist hag Kathleen Kennedy after she has destroyed the Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Willow franchises and alienated fans with her woke nonsense. As Dictor von Doomcock says on YouTube: "Without respect, we reject." He obviously approved the Fortune article and engineered Indy 5 to screen at Cannes without any critics embargo, leaving Kennedy twisting in the wind with the torrent of negative reviews. I'll never forgive her for "The Last Jedi," and for deconstructing Luke Skywalker in a pathetic loser. I hope the door doesn't hit the silly cow in the rump on her way out.

Is anyone in Hollywood familiar with the phrase “beating a dead horse”? No one there has any original ideas anymore. It’s all stuff recycled from the ‘80’s, and comic book characters.
Harrison Ford was never the sharpest knife in the drawer - a typical Hollywood liberal.
